Vincent Kompany returns to contention for City’s clash with Sunderland. Dejan Lovren and Simon Mignolet are back as Liverpool host Leicester. Eden Hazard takes part in light training ahead of Chelsea’s home match with Watford, whilst Palace have concerns over Yohan Cabaye and Yannick Bolasie as they make theyr way to Bournemouth.

Micah Richards is improving “a little bit” from a knee problem but remains a doubt for Villa’s home clash with West Ham.

Danny Drinkwater remains sidelined for Leicester’s clash with Liverpool. Claudio Ranieri confirmed “everybody is ok”, indicating that Jamie Vardy has recovered from the hamstring niggle that forced him off last weekend.

Papiss Cisse is a major doubt for Newcastle’s home clash with Everton after being forced off with a groin problem last time out.

Maarten Stekelenburg has recovered from a toe problem in time for Southampton’s clash with Arsenal this weekend.

Geoff Cameron looks almost certain to miss Stoke’s clash with United due to a hamstring problem.

Junior Stanislas and Josh King remain doubtful for Bournemouth’s festive matches due to hamstring problems, Eddie Howe has conceded.

Angel Rangel and Wayne Routledge could be back in contention for Swansea’s clash with West Brom, though Eder remains sidelined though injury.

Claudio Yacob is available for West Brom’s trip to the Liberty. The midfielder has returned from Argentina following a family bereavement.

Eden Hazard is back in light training ahead of Chelsea’s home clash with Watford.

Vincent Kompany, Pablo Zabaleta and Fernando are available once again for City, though Manuel Pellegrini conceded that Sergio Aguero won’t be given the full 90 minutes at home to Sunderland.

The Black Cats, meanwhile, are without Younes Kaboul for the Etihad encounter – the centre-half is sidelined for a number of weeks with a hamstring injury.

Yohan Cabaye is rated “50-50” for Palace’s trip to Bournemouth with an ongoing heel complaint. Yannick Bolasie and Connor Wickham are set for late fitness tests.

Simon Mignolet and Dejan Lovren are back for Liverpool’s home encounter with Leicester, though James Milner is still sidelined with a hamstring injury.

        I'd really like the 352 to work. I'm going with a Power Front 8. With rot and injury, I have a feeling it's going to be needed more than ever.

        Plus, it is very hard to ignore the five main mids at present: Barkers, KGB, Mahrez, Rambo and Ozil.

      I think if you have Kun in your team it only makes sense to captain him, because you already think he scoring twice as much per gameLukaku, Vardy, Igalho, so you need put your money where your mouth is.

          Points per million is a good metric this year, because there's a big bunch of cheap constant performers, so value seems to be important still.

      Aguero ownership - 12.8%
      Walcott ownership - 2.1%

      One is nailed on to start and play at least 80+mins if not 90 mins. Another may not even start and even if he does, may play only 60ish mins.

      One has much better fixture than the other.

      Both are proven FPL pedigree and are capable of explosive returns.

      Still the Kun(c) love is overwhelming here.

      I'm pretty happy that my Walcott uber differential is staying a differential. 😀

      But, surely there's a case for Walcott(c) over Kun(c)?

      So after contempating on trading him out for kun, ive now done a 180 and thinking about Captaining Kane. Have I gone mad? He is risky especially after burning me those 2 weeks as C before last, but he is a diffential in my ML and I'd love to get that advantage if he does well. What ya say? C him or go with Lukaku/mahrez for safety?

          Kosc and Ivan would play every week unless injured and it's a tie between Dier/Dawson for 3rd spot. Yeah, I can see it'll be a bit of a struggle but I'd like a strong defense because my last ones were terrible

          Was all set on getting Aguero for Vardy and hoping he would rocket me up the rankings like he did for me in gw 7... But seeing as Vardy's fit (and I got him for 6.0) + the Pelle comments on Aguero... I think it's just too risky. Now that I have got 2 injured mids I think I'll just get KDB for one of them (liked him a lot against arsenal) and then wait for gw 20 and use my second wc pretty early to get more differentials and fix my leaky defence... (those vardy's and Ighalo's can't be scoring this well forever 😉 )

              Looking at your team we really almost have identical players. Don't you hate that defence? If I had no other priorities I'd be shipping Bertrand then Moreno asap. But will just have to stick with them for a little longer.

        If your squad is settled with the usual template players then I suggest you go for the punt in Theo.

        Otherwise play safe and get ramsey.

            Minutes are a issue.

            Ramsey is a safe bet as he'll get 90 mins every game. Not the case with Theo.

        Theo is not really getting into the dangerous positions he used to from the left, so it would be an anomaly if he hit a hat trick. He also repels baps while Ramsey hogs them with one goal
