        Why would you sell any player to a fellow relegation contender, especially a player who has the potential for game-changing performances/moments like Shelvey? Very poor judgement from Swansea.

            But how much will they lose if this decision ultimately relegates them? By all means sell him to a mid-table club or a club you aren't competing against, but not a fellow club fighting for their lives against you.

          I felt a bit weird myself about it tbh. Shelvey probably mentioned that the Swansea fans were turning on him. Never got into the team after the suspension he served.

          Don't even know if they are going to utilise all the money they got. They have an Interim Manager right now.

          You don't know what has gone on behind the scenes though do you? I once heard a story about why Sunderland sold Chris Makin to Ipswich. I don't know if the story was true, but if it was then an otherwise head-scratching transfer made more sense.

        Today my judgement has been absolutely shocking. Last week I captained aguero and this week didn't. Also my gambling was nothing short of embarrassing - I gave back 20% of my stash of December winnings. Pathetic. MUST TRY HARDER.

        On the previous page I received quite the backlash for suggesting Wijnaldum as an option and was accused of chasing points (which is not the case). Let me provide some rationale:

        Stats are very good - 2nd for goal attempts over last 4 weeks, 6th for chances created over last 4 weeks. He is 3rd highest scoring midfielder despite poor away performance from Newcastle. As to Newcastle performing badly away from home, there is little room for them to perform worse so I see plenty of upside potential in points for Wijnaldum from away games. Newcastle seem to have hit a turning point the past few weeks & positive effect of Shelvey's début may run into the next few games. Personally I think the case is quite compelling.
