Guus Hiddink considers resting Diego Costa for one of Chelsea’s next two league matches. N’Golo Kante is ruled out of Leicester’s upcoming pair of top-flight encounters, Shane Long remains a doubt as Southampton head to Bournemouth, whilst Chris Brunt is ruled out of West Brom’s trip to the King Power.

Arsene Wenger hinted at making changes to his XI earlier this morning after admitting the likes of Danny Welbeck may not be “completely fit” to deal with the hectic schedule. The Gunners boss also went on to confirm that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will be out for six-to-eight weeks with a knee injury.

Sunderland have no fresh injury worries for the visit of Palace, Sam Allardyce has confirmed. It’s “as you were” for the Black Cats, then, with Jeremain Lens and Duncan Watmore the only players sidelined.

Eddie Howe reckons that Junior Stanislas will be out “for a few weeks” after undergoing scans on the hamstring injury that forced him off last weekend. The Bournemouth boss conceded he will manage Max Gradel’s minutes after the winger returned from a long-term knee injury last weekend, whilst Lewis Grabban has stepped up his recovery from a groin problem but remains a doubt.

Chris Brunt is set to see a specialist today after sustaining a knee injury in the weekend win over Palace. Tony Pulis conceded he’s keen to field “a similar team” from the one that defeated the Eagles, though Jonny Evans – if fit – will return.

N’Golo Kante has been ruled out of the next couple of Gameweeks due to a hamstring problem, Claudio Ranieri has admitted. The Foxes boss confirmed that Andy King is set to start in central midfield alongside Danny Drinkwater, whilst he’s also set to welcome back Danny Simpson from a one-match ban against the Baggies.

Seb Bassong and Wes Hoolahan remain doubtful for Norwich’s home match with Chelsea, Alex Neil has revealed. Andre Wisdom is still sidelined with a knee complaint, whilst Patrick Bamford cannot play against his parent club.

John Terry will remain sidelined for Chelsea’s trip to Norwich, Guus Hiddink has revealed. Pedro is also out with the hamstring problem that forced him off early against Southampton, though Alexandre Pato has stepped up his fitness drive and could play a part. Hiddink also went on to admit that he may rest Diego Costa for one of the next two league matches, with one eye on next week’s Champions League clash against PSG, as the Blues attempt to claw back a 2-1 first-leg deficit. Hiddink has also revealed that youngster Bertrand Traore has moved ahead of both Pato and Loic Remy in the pecking order behind Costa for the lone striker role.

Shane Long is Southampton’s only doubt for the trip to Bournemouth after being withdrawn due to a minor hamstring problem on Saturday.

Palace have no fresh injury concerns for their trip to the Stadium of Light, with Bakary Sako back in the fold after returning to full training ahead of their relegation clash.

Mo Besic and Darron Gibson are ruled out of Everton’s visit to Villa, whilst Arouna Kone has recovered from the illness that kept him out of the recent FA Cup win at Bournemouth.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of this evening’s deadline. Leicester arent attractive this week. havent been very attacking latley and they play a Pulis side. Defensively, Berahino looked awesome last match and Rondon is always a threat.

    Front 8

Payet / Ozil / Firminho / Mahrez (Alli)
    Kane / Aguero / Vardy

Need to take out either Firminho or Payet for blank GW30.

Firminho to Arnie? or someone else. 0.9 in bank so £8.9 if I take out Firminho or £9.1 if I take out Payet. Have 2 FT

What do you think? 1 FT and 9.9 in the bank. Ighalo to Lukaku and out for Kun next gw?

    Schmeichel (Hennessey)
    Bellerin Daniels Wolly (Toby Moreno)
    Ozil Arnie Payet Mahrez Alli
    Kane Vardy (Ighalo)

Thinking Ighalo to Lukaku and benching Alli? Cheers

2 FTs, any ideas on a use for one? I am considering a luxury move of Kane > Lukaku, as I think Luka can explode in the next 2 (he loves playing West Ham) and I can easily make the move back:

    Forster (Elliot)
Daniels - CBJ - Huth (Toby, Williams)
Sanchez - Ozil - Payet - Mahrez (Alli)
    Vardy - Kane - Aguero

If there's certain lineups you're worried about and will be willing to make transfers for, if you set your transfer up ready you should have enough time to see the club's tweet the lineup before the deadline passes.. This is the same with the earliest kick off pretty much every week.

    Trying to justify captaining Arautovic

    Newcastles Away form;

    Che - New 5 -1
    Eve - New 3 - 0
    Wat - New 2 - 1
    Man U - New 3 - 3
    Ars - New 1 - 0

14 goals conceded in their last 5 away - that's an average of 2.8 goals conceded per away game

    Stoke Home form;

    Stoke - Villa 2 - 1
    Stoke - Eve 0 -3
    Stoke - Ars 0 - 0
    Stoke - Nor 3 - 1
    Stoke - Man U 2 - 0

7 goals scored in their last 5 home - average of 1.4 goals scored per game

Not that this equation is in any way statistically sound, but,

Predicted no. of goals = no. of away goals conceded / no. of home goals scored

    So 2.8/1.4 = 2

    - Arnautovic has only scored in two consecutive games once this season
    - He has had 4 double figure hauls
    - On average scores 5 points a game (123 points over 24 games)

    too much of a risk?

Has anyone got a link to the hot topic discussing the two different approaches to wildcarding.

    Thanks.

    Hello guys! Who to bench?

Daniels (SOU), Cresswell (TOT), Bellerin (SWA) or Targett (bou)?

Would it be mad to play Targett (bou) and Daniels (SOU), who play eachother, ahead of Alderweireld (whu)?

no 0-0 does come in sometimes. Plus they both have attacking potential

Has there been a post about the likely scores this week yet? Might have a punt on something this evening

Hey All, I'm in a quandary. I've got 2 ft's this week and £2.2 in the bank but am torn on what to do. Any thoughts on the below two options? Other suggestions?

    Forster
    Bellerin, Cedric, Francis
Alli, Payet, Mahrez (VC), Ozil, Sanchez
    Aguero, Vardy (C)

    Butland, Dawson, Reid, Ighalo

    a) Reid for Fuchs, Ighalo for Austin (bit of a gamble, I know)
    b) Sanchez for Eriksen, Ighalo for Kane

    Cheers
