Recorded minutes after the whistle blew on a miserable midweek under lights, we had no choice but to fantasise about Chips and Double Gameweeks to get us through this latest ScoutCast episode.

I’m joined by Jonty, Andy and Luke as we lament our sub 40-point tallies, moving on swiftly to lose ourselves in the thrilling, Wonka-like nonsense that lies ahead thanks to the bizarre Bench Boost FPL chip.

We come back down to earth to answer another bout of community questions, assessing the merits of City’s assets through their fluctuating form, the Payet problem and even end by revealing our modest rank expectations for the rest of the season.

This episode of the ScoutCast was first aired live via our YouTube channel. Be sure to subscribe in order to get a heads up on new episodes.

You can view the full Google Hangout version via the bigger player below, or bask in the edited audio cut via this link or the smaller player.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Barkley + Ward > Siggy + Williams (-4) is my move I think

    would give me

    .................Butland
    .......VvD - Toby - Williams
    Eriksen - Payet - Siggy - Mahrez
    ......Kane - Vardy - Aguero(c)

    McCarthy; Ozil, Simpson, Bellerin

I think the NLD could be a tight affair and Everton's defense ain't exactly solid though.

City have 11/24 possible points in 2016 and lost their last 3.

I fully believe that they'll beat Villa but I'm not sure that I'm confident that they'll keep a cleansheet.

Even if it is, they've spent their fts rejiging their team to bring it in while owners have the luxury of strengthening elsewhere.

Hello DZ, any feedback here would be appreciated...2 FT and 1.4 ITB

    Butland
    Azpi Bellerin Cedric
    Ozil Mahrez Payet Arnie
    Aguero Kane Vardy

    (Hennessey Alli Simpson Wimmer)

Thinking of maybe just doing Azpi -> Kompany and letting the other FT ride

other pondering includes Alli or Payet -> Siggy

    any and all thoughts appreciated

So, maybe take him (Aguero) in the team at least, and from there decide whether Kane or Aguero should be the captain?

Hiddink stated that he would be rested for one of Norwich or Stoke (most likely) so just be aware. I would bring Aguero in after pressers and captain Kun imo. Not very often he gets (AVL) with a relatively low ownership (not 50% 😉 )

I fully believe that Man City will beat Villa but I wouldn't be so sure that they'll keep a cleansheet.

In 2016: City have 11/24 possible Premier League points and have conceded in 10/15 games in all competitions. They've also and lost their last 3 Premier League games.

Yes it's Villa at home and then Norwich away, but don't let the club's name sway you more than their form.

Agree, but the season is so poor, I need to have some fun and see if I can get some 1-2 weeks transfers to work out (unlike Barkley last week) 🙂

They have conceded on most games but their shots in the box conceded per game is actually very low. This is generally a better indication of future goals conceded but of course nothing is guaranteed!

As a side note, which team in the prem is actually keeping clean sheets more often than not? Spurs probably have the best defence but they concede frequently too. Tough season for defence

          I agree with this.
Teams like Chelsea or Spurs always seem to concede one and it's bloody annoying 🙁

          Hi Jape,
Otamendi is a bit too expensive for me. I just want a Man City defender (their next two games are Aston Villa and Norwich) but not sure who is nailed on to start. Kompany is, when he's fit. Is Zabaleta a sure starter now ahead of Sagna?

          Thanks.

            Fair enough then.

Kompany is a good shout and he's nailed on.

It's difficult to say with the full backs

Selling Bellerin looks a smart move and Kompany is the City defender I'd go for too. Good move, I think.

new and SWA aren't bad fixtures for Bournemouth either though. Plus Daniels has that attacking threat...

Fixtures are good and he's a baps magnet. Slightly biased though as he's one of my favourite players in FPL. Always seems to do well when I pick him.

Think Daniels is an excellent pick too though.

      Hart, Fabianski
      Bellerin, Wolls, Daniels, Fonte, Fuchs
      Ali, Ozil, Mahrez, Siggy, Arnie
      Aguero, Vardy, Kane

Shall i get Mori for Daniels? I have 0.7 in the bank. Or may be Costa for Kane?

I'd go Kompany instead of Otamendi. I was set to pick up Otamendi but he was awful against Liverpool, and I fear Mangala might get a shot at some point. Kompany, on the other hand, is nailed.
