Thinking Sturridge/Coutinho for a DGW too. Maybe chuck in Sakho.

there looks to be a zero percent chance either of them play both games. coutinho is being eased in gently, hopefully will be a regular 90 minute player by the doubles, but sturridge cant string 2 starts together to save his life.

I sold him for Arnautovic (15, 3) and then got Siggy (10). So overall I've been better off but yes that must be annoying

What's everyone's revised target rank this season? Pre season mine was top 1k, but having a tough time this year so have revised it to top 10k:

Pre season target (PST) - top 1k
    Current rank (CR) - 135k
Current target (CT) - top 10k

Got a 6K rank this week which nearly got me back in top 50k so hoping for top 10k. Been a few horror weeks. So chuffed.

      PST - Top 10K
      Current rank - 1.6K
      Current Target - Top 1K

Came agonisingly close to Top 1K last season (1044). Would love to rectify that this season!

ML leader is my uncle's partner but clearly he is making changes for her! Now it looks like she might win with effectively his 2nd team, shall I ask him what the hell's going on or leave it, spoils the ML if he gets to use 2 teams.

i think its quite hard to manage two teams. if its free and just for kicks leave it. at the end he cant claim he won anyway!

heap praise on her to try to goad him into admission.

fwiw my 3-year old has a team in my ML and i'm sure at least 1/2 of the other managers think it's my "2nd team" though it's absolutely not. he has a blast making transfers.. clicking on each players info.. selecting captains.. etc.. sometimes he spends almost 2 hours looking at every single player available and then makes a choice that makes no sense.. like Gardner.. several weeks ago.. who then went out and scored multiple goals?! Amazing good times

    Kane / Kun / Vardy

i ignore formation and put the 11 i think will score the most points.

and in my team my defence has the best form:

          williams - 4.4
          huth - 6.0
          daniels - 5.6

          alli - 2.8

HUGE captaincy "issue" this coming gameweek.

    A) Aguero (nor)
    B) Kane (avl)
    C) Mahrez (NEW)
    D) Vardy (NEW)
    E) Alli (avl)
    F) Y Toure (nor)

All so juicy. In my current rough order.

I feel you might be right. If he hadn't fluffed that pen last week it would have been a huge haul and an obvious decision for this week. It just seems like the average potential is higher for Kun. And ya Kane has that pesky Thursday game.

Agreed. I was really happy to keep him all these weeks but the closer we got to this stretch the less optimistic I was, just because he had a GW30 fixture. Sold him.

it could be a low scoring game. Norwich conceded 5 in their last 4 playing West Ham, Chelsea and Leicester in that time.

I think Kane could also be tricky 3 days after a tough Europa game.

Some advice appreciated. Important point WC used. Have only 8 for GW 30 now. Will get to 15 for 34 and prepared to take hits 31-34 to get this for bench boost. I am getting Kane on FT this week to make 9. A hit again this week not worth it and just go with 9 players? Targett and Olsson would give 11 but obvious doubts about both. So only Austin to Kane this week and field definite 9 players?

Payet 13,6,4,13,2,3,2,2,11,1,0 & Antonio 6,11,11,2,1,11,5,2,8,13 combined hauls have been pretty decent over the previous 11 GW`s
Definately doubling up on those two for their DGW looks very tempting indeed.

Normally would not be expected to get a lot of returns. But those defenders have good fixtures and some with attacking potential so worth a try. I have Payet and Firmino. They could have another 2 blank week and still stay in my team.

Sooo...I come to you all late. Seems a lot of you know a crap-ton about F-EPL, and to be honest I am not great.

That said, I'm in 3rd place in a 20 team league with 1,400pts. I've been very lucky with my captaincy.

I have 3xCap, AOAttack, and WC remaining.

    GK: Forster, Schmeichel
DF: Wollscheild, Daniels, Van Dijk, Targett, Borthwick-Jax
MD: Mahrez, Ozil, Arnetovic, Silva, Alli,
    FD: Aguero, Costa, Rashford

    1.2m

Alright, I'm told there are "double game weeks" which seems like the best time to use 3xC, AOA those weeks?

    When are those weeks?

Nowhere near the quality of Otamendi, though.

Since he came into the team in GW6, he's started every game bar one - the 1-4 humiliation at home to Liverpool. I'd say he's absolutely nailed on.

With City's fixture list and still in the CL, I'd expect some rotation at CB. That is heightened with a quick turnaround. Team News here had Otamendi a rotation risk against Villa, which would worry me in a DGW. Kompany may be the one to be rested, but no such concerns about Janmaat.

Yeah, I completely agree with you on going A in Balders' dilemma.

However I was interested as to why you feel Otamendi is a rotation risk. And it seems really weired to me that team news on here had him as a rotation risk for Villa. He hasn't been rotated since he came into the team bar that one game as mentioned above. He's started every single CL game and still played 90 mins every week in the PL aswell.

If he was a rotation risk, we would have seen Mangala and Demichelis pair up more often during Christmas and/or with important CL games around the corner when Kompany was out, but they didn't. So again, for me Otamendi looks completely nailed, and I don't understand how he wouldn't be.

                  • 12 Years
                  9 years, 9 months ago

Mangala's been injured a lot iirc so Otamendi had to play all through the busy christmas period and January. So its really untested with a busy schedule and a fit defensive corps.

Both Mangala and Demichelis was fit up until mid january when Mangala pulled his hamstring. So they were both fit for CL weeks during autumn, and during Christmas. Yet Otamendi still played every single minute in both competitions.

Remember City bought Otamendi because they realized they hadn't got what they wanted when they bought Mangala the year before.

Almost everyone on here seems to take for granted that Arsenal will beat Hull and have a blank. Really think we need to be more open to both possible outcomes when planning for the weekend. Wouldn't be too surprised if Hull wins given the form of both teams, home turf and Arsenal's injuries.

I lose 0.6m selling Ozil. Anyone who loses something similar is foolish to sell even in the event he does have a blank. We've built our TV's to this point for a reason and they could be throwing away more points down the line for less points now.

if thats based on current price you dont have 0.6 and you won't lose 0.6. You hold the sale price.
            its an FPL fallacy
either way even if they have a blank theres a strong case for keeping ozil

It's not a fallacy: I doubt he drops twice, so let's say he does drop once, he's now at 9.9m. My sell price drops to 9.3m and I WILL want him back and now have to pay at least 9.9m.

Sorry, not with it this morning.

The teams that have a DGW and when it will be.

        • 12 Years
        9 years, 9 months ago

        confirm
        kənˈfəːm/Submit
        verb
past tense: confirmed; past participle: confirmed
        1.
establish the truth or correctness of (something previously believed or suspected to be the case).

      • 12 Years
      9 years, 9 months ago

None are confirmed but these are the matches that need to be rearranged

      Liverpool vs Everton,
      Newcastle vs Man City,
      Liverpool vs Chelsea,
      Sunderland vs Everton,
      Manchester United vs Crystal Palace,
      West Ham vs Watford,
      West Ham vs Manchester United

If Arsenal beat Hull City on March 8th, their match that weekend with West Brom will be postponed too

Does Fonte out make Targett anymore likely to play? With Yoshida able to play a few position maybe he goes to CB instead of Martina and Targett plays. If I have this all wrong let me know don't know much about Martina and missed highlights.

Has Bert not played CB in a back 3 before and then Targett as WB? Bit desperate as could do with a Targett start too!

            😥

Mike Ashley should offer Mourinho £10m to keep Newcastle up. If he can offer £12m for Townsend he can certainly afford it.

Don't know. Imagine this and excuse me as a pool fan. Let's say Liverpool go on a run and get fourth. LEI and Spurs look like they have CL spots. That would leave one of city United arsenal and chelsea with a CL spot next year. What odds on that back in August? Madness.

My GW35 team is going to be dreadful. Hope it's all worth it as the dust settles on GW34 and I'm left choosing between Funes Mori and Janmaat.

I'll have used it in GW33 to go all in on GW34. Out with the carefully constructed season-keepers, in with the double-gamers.

    Kompany Smith Bertrand huth walker

    Alli Mahrez Ozil (Firmino, Payet)
