Jason Puncheon returns in time for Palace’s cup clash with Reading this evening. Riyahd Mahrez has fully recovered from the cramp that led to his withdrawal at Watford, Shane Long is back for Southampton’s trip to Stoke, whilst Aaron Lennon remains a doubt as Everton square up to Chelsea in the last eight of the FA Cup.

Claudio Ranieri has confirmed that Riyad Mahrez has fully recovered from the cramp that saw him withdrawn late on against Watford last Saturday evening. Matty James is the only absentee for the Foxes clash with Newcastle on Monday.

Per Mertesacker and Gabriel have both recovered from the injuries that forced them off against Hull on Tuesday night. Laurent Koscielny has “a little chance†of making Sunday’s cup clash with Watford, whilst Arsene Wenger went on to reveal that Aaron Ramsey’s thigh problem is “a small alertâ€, though the Gunners have yet to establish a full prognosis.

Jason Puncheon is available for Palace’s cup clash with Reading tonight. Connor Wickham remains ruled out with a thigh injury and is expected back in time for the Gameweek 32 clash against West Ham in early April. Wayne Hennessey is back in contention after missing out with a minor injury last weekend.

Aaron Lennon is “progressing well†from a hamstring injury but remains a doubt for Everton’s cup clash with Chelsea. Bryan Oviedo is a doubt after picking up a chest infection, though Tom Cleverley and Gareth Barry have both recovered from similar complaints. Kevin Mirallas serves the first of a two-match ban for the Toffees.

Shane Long has recovered from a knee injury in time for Southampton’s trip to Stoke. Skipper Jose Fonte sits this one out after being sent off against Sunderland last week, whilst Jay Rodriguez is set to step up his fitness by turning out for the reserves next week.

Eddie Howe has confirmed that he’ll make a late decision on the fitness of Harry Arter. The Bournemouth boss revealed that Josh King is playing with a knock, though Junior Stanislas remains sidelined with a hamstring injury.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream for breaking news – as the day unfolds, we will issue updates from Friday’s press conferences and refresh our Team News tab accordingly to keep you informed.

Matt Ritchie has been a sore point for me in previous GW's left him on the bench twice when he scored well.
Playing him this GW so he owes me BIG time

      Siggy Arnie

Let's not forget a siggy goal basically means a 9-10 point haul post baps
      Arnautovic looks due

Another major differential will be 'hits'
Many FPL managers will take hits to field 11 or go in with 8-9 players
That I think could make a huge difference in the GW scores

      1. Irish Madridista â

      Sigurdsson 6% ownership
I think Eriksen at 12% should also sneak in.
      Matt Ritchie 2% ownrship
      Silva 6%
      Shaqiri - 2%

So many good options this week, especially in midfield.

Would you captain Eriksen this week? I'm tempted. But Aguero and Kane will almost certainly score.

I think getting him in is differential enough.

It may make your mind up about captaining aguero though perhaps. So if I got Eriksen in I'd be more minded to captain aguero to mitigage against not owning more Man City players. Eriksen and Kane and Alli is also a trio few teams have.

I'm thinking Shaqiri more and more now, having flitted between Alli and Yaya as my 5th mid and finding both pretty boring (sorry Jonty!!)

BUT that said, I think some people are right here in that actually having an eleventh (and, in some cases, even a tenth!) man out on the pitch this week is a differential in of itself!

Really hoping to see FFS smash the rankings this weekend 🙂

It's going to the wire this week. Sooooooooo undecided about bringing Kane in - the man in every RMT I see on here - for Lukaku. If I do, it means I'm benching Arnie for the very week I'd brought him in for. If I don't I bank an invaluable FT. Not having Kane could so hurt.....arghhhhhhhh.

Think this weekend you really should be thinking about Kane in - if you still have your wildcard you can get Lukaku back np

Consider that Liverpool - who weren't exactly setting the world ablaze at the time - scored SIX against Villa.

Who's to say Spurs, who have been better than the scousers this year, can't do a similar thing?

This is exactly why I'm torn. Just commented elsewhere on ditching the Kane transfer, back to thinking he's a must now 🙠..but thanks for the comment. Not really bothered about brining Lukaku back, he's served his purpose, it's more about the FT. I suppose worse case scenario it might just mean 1 miserly hit down the line

I think you'll probably suffer if you don't have Kane, especially with next weekend them being H vs. Bournemouth and the league being Spurs' top priority.

You should be able to manage, I'm sure. If you have a WC to burn in GW33 then you should be golden - maybe roll your FT next weekend instead, in view of the international breaks.

BTW - I don't like taking hits unless absolutely necessary, either (I've taken 2 this whole season!)

          Hope that helps

Considering Schmeichel is in goal, which two from below, is LEI double too much ( I could play Butland instead I guess)

I have Butland, Schmeichel and Fuchs. At the moment leaning towards playing Butland instead of Schmeichel but if it looks like McClaren will still be in charge on Monday night, I'd probably double-up on Leicester.

I think Daniels is worth keeping, man - he's just such a never bench never captain kind of man, can pull a goal out of nothing - I've had him since Xmas and he's really smashed it for me.

Who do you have at the moment? Easier to assess. I'd be tempted to say outfield players always trump keepers - if it helps, I'm seriously thinking about Foster in for Butland from next week. I'd say Huth > Schmeichel because of Huth's upside (goal threat)

      Hope that helps !

I have 11 players this GW IF Targett gets a game for Saints.

Is it worth shifting a player for a hit?

    If so, who?

    Targett

You are going to have this problem every week though and with the BB chip almost upon us, now is the time to ensure you have 15 fit and firing players.

            Hmm, good point..

Got my WildCard in tact though. And next week Targett would be bench fodder anyway. I think I could get my 15 fit and firing in the coming weeks for BB so this would be a short term decision only.

The general consensus is that BB will probably be more suited to gw34 ad TC played later in gw37.
As it seems unlikely that Man City will have their double in gw37 thus no Kun TC, are we happy to go with another option that week or do we have to seriously consider swapping the chips around and going with Kun in gw34?
For long enough I thought that Kun was my certain go to TC. Doesn't seem so clear now though.

Would be a shame for watchers and admirers. Still young

Yeah - similar to Tevez. He's just more loyal that Carlitos.

Oh btw Doolittle, I read your thing on YIRMA on Monday. Absolutely encapsulated my gameweek, although it was more that my ML rival had Toby and Bellerin and had forgot to check his team; he'd have benched them otherwise. So I was really peed off too lol. Great article!

Thank you very much! That's so frustrating; it's the eternal problem with FPL - the negatives always seem to outweigh the positives. I mean, 80 points and a green arrow, and I felt like I'd dropped 100k. Few things more annoying than an ML rival having a huge slice of fortune.

UGH - I hate it so much man! He's my cousin, too, and keeps bantering about it even though he keeps not doing his team. I hate that I look at it a look yet he's still coasting way ahead of me. Luckily he's already played his WC so I'm in a good position for the upcoming dgws.

But It's so frustrating - this year has really been about luck trumping "skill" to a large extent ðŸ™

I've been holding firm to the belief that we will triumph eventually, with these blanks and DGWs being key. Let's hope the cream rises at the end!

I'm lactose intolerant, so the cream always rises with me ^^
