It’s time to drop into the Weekly Shop for our final Wednesday article, as we analyse the player lists of our partner games to highlight the likely targets that will make up our own weekly squads.

As always, the player analysis is split into two sections: I’ll break down the key targets that no squad can do without in “Better Buys”, before seeking out those one-shot “Poundstretcher” prospects that can provide us points, whilst freeing up funds.

For this week’s selection, we’re focusing on the FantasyBet and DraftKing player lists.

Crystal Palace travel to Upton Park where West Ham have been resilient of late, keeping five clean sheets in seven home matches. With 15 saves and five bonus points over his last four appearances, Adrian (FantasyBet 5m, DraftKings $4,000) could be worth the extra investment compared to more budget-friendly keeper options. In midfield, Dimitri Payet (FantasyBet 7.5m, DraftKings $8,600) carried his league form into the international friendlies by netting a trademark free-kick against Russia, and the Frenchman’s two goals and four assists in five make him difficult to ignore.

Chelsea will be optimistic of extending their 14-match unbeaten league run when they visit Villa Park on Saturday lunchtime. While the Blues have been porous at Stamford Bridge, they have four clean sheets in six on the road and Branislav Ivanovic (FantasyBet 6.5m, DraftKings $4,100) offers the opportunity of points at both ends of the pitch against a team destined for the Championship.

Arsenal’s 2-0 victory at Goodison Park was a promising result for those considering investment in the Gunners ahead of Watford’s visit. The Hornets travel to the Emirates with a single shut-out in nine away trips and Hector Bellerin (FantasyBet 5.5m, DraftKings $4,200) offers the form route into the hosts’ rearguard with three assists over the last two outings.

In midfield, picking between Mesut Ozil (FantasyBet 9.5m, DraftKings $8,000) and Alexis Sanchez (FantasyBet 11m, DraftKings Forward $7,800) is once again a conundrum. The former has been more consistent in the long-term but the Chilean’s goal and a pair of assists over the last three hints at a return to form. A potentially rewarding and cheaper alternative has emerged further up the field, though, with Danny Welbeck (FantasyBet 7m, DraftKings $5,500) bagging three goals and an assist in five since returning from injury.

Sergio Aguero (FantasyBet 13m, DraftKings $8,800) may have blanked in three of his last four outings but travels to a Bournemouth team that have leaked six goals over their previous three. Despite his recent toils, the Argentine has fired 14 attempts in the box over the last four – joint-top along with Harry Kane. With City still limited by injuries in midfield, he may well be paired with Wilfried Bony (FantasyBet 8m, DraftKings $4,900) once again. While the Ivorian has not been on the pitch as much as Aguero, his 11 attempts in the box compares favourably, earning the forward a high placing in Jonty’s Goals Imminent table.

Poundstretchers

An injury to Joe Hart should see Willy Caballero (FantasyBet 4.5m, DraftKings $2,900) earn a rare stint between the sticks as City travel to Bournemouth. Manuel Pellegrini’s men have allowed their opponents a mere 11 shots inside the box in the last four – less than any other side.

Norwich are looking to chalk up a third straight clean sheet as relegation rivals Newcastle roll up to Carrow Road. Timm Klose’s (FantasyBet 4.5m, DraftKings $2,400) defensive displays have been key to the Canaries improvement, with the centre-half earning five bonus points in the last two Gameweeks. Wes Hoolahan (FantasyBet 4.5m, DraftKings $3,800) has chipped in with two goals and a pair of assists in his last four home appearances and looks a value option amongst Alex Neil’s attack.

After three successive draws, Sunderland will be hoping to give their survival bid a shot in the arm as West Brom visit the Stadium of Light. Patrick van Aanholt’s (FantasyBet 4.5m, DraftKings $3,900) five goals from defence this term is only equalled by Scott Dann, Wahbi Khazri (FantasyBet 6m, DraftKings $5,400) continues to return some promising attacking numbers, while Jermain Defoe (FantasyBet 5m, DraftKings $4,700) has scored in back-to-back outings and also looks a good value option against the Baggies, who have kept a single clean sheet in four matches.

These are the contenders for my weekly contest lineups heading into the midweek fixtures. Tomorrow I’ll also bring you up to date on my progress in FantasyBet, as I continue my quest for profit in the 2015/16 campaign.

      Midfield and Forwards look great.

I'm gonna assume this is a non-WC team due to the defence (making the front 8 even more impressive). If it is a WC team though, I'd change 4 of your 5 defenders.

      Starting 11 is nigh-on perfect.

Personally think DDG is overpriced but I understand why you'd want him.

Williams and Hoolahan need to be prioritised in terms of transfers out..

VvD and Daniels will be differentials with most ditching them for DGW options, but they're still good picks!

With no price chances to Coutino before next Saturday; Bolasie -> Cout. If no more than 2, Cout becomes Firm

Welp, I got that the wrong way with prices. If Cout moves, I need to sack Belle for Monreal.

    Quick poll:
If you could get THIS DGW34 team taking one point hit:

    Foster
    Otamendi Bellerin Ward
    Sanchez (TC) Ozil Firmino Payet
    Aguero Kaku Deeney
    (McCarthy-Alli-Fuchs-Daniels)

    GW33: 2 dgwers
    GW34: 11 dgwers
GW35: 11 playing without any transfers

    Would you:

    A) Do it and save WC+BB for DGW37
    B) WC in 33 and get stronger team for DGW33+34

I think for everyone having a WC headache, Kun's injury will be a blessing in disguise.
So much value held by him and not many will risk losing him if he's fit.

Without him, I'd surely get a better team.

    Good morning!

First, congrats to FFS team for new look website! Undecided whether I like it better, but at least the content is the same, and appears faster than yesterday.

As fopr FPL, anyone else thinking of wildcarding in GW34, and play BB in 37? Playing with various BB34 provisional teams, it always seems that the last few places involves players that I wouldn't like to have otherwise, so the value of the BB becomes questionable i also looking at GW33 and GW35. By WC'ing in GW34, I can triple captain Lukaku in GW33, and still get a strong team for GW34:

    Mignolet
    Bellerin - Sakho - Gabriel - Smalling
    Özil - Lallana - Lennon - Payet
    Aguero - Lukaku

Bench: Ruddy - Klose - Mahrez- Kane

Will of course not get the full 15 DGW'ers for GW37, but still a good team could be fielded. So main advantage of this strategy is to make better use of triple captain chip, and having a strong GW35 team.

    Thoughts?

It's kind of the same as WC now to set yourself up 2 weeks in advance, then being able to TC Lukaku GW33 and have a good team for GW34 right?
If you like your idea go for it but I'm not a massive fan of it

I'm liking Klose. Norwich has tightened up as of late, NEW cpl coming up, and good DGW in GW37. Baps machine it appears. Can even be played as SGW'er against SUN in GW34 if needed. No GW35 though

35 is the only drawback, but I think I'll be temporarily selling one of Lanzini/Payet/Lukaku and benching Klose myself.

    Robles , cech

    Payet , Ozil , Firmino , Barkley , Bolasie

    Aguero , Lukaku , Welbeck

will be taking 4pts hit to have full 11 for gw 35

thinking that UTD defender will havily outscore likes of new or wba player so i'll be taking the hit

Bolasie have 4 games in 2 gws and as we learned in past he is well capable of some amaizing returns

      I won't pretend to guess

But as a fan, he shouldn't get straight back in. Rashford has confidence, deserves his spot for now.

The Liverpool, Arsenal and Man Utd conundrum.

Not massively sold on Mignolet but if I get DDG in goal I'm stuck for GW35 as my other keeper is Hennessey. So, I'd have to use my FT on GW35 for a playing keeper.

If I get Cech then I either gamble on Rojo or Darmian or pay a premium for Smalling, which seems pointless when I can't play him in GW35. Plus I'd have to get a Liverpool defender, which kind of negates me not being keen on Migs!

If I get Migs I still have to get a MUFC and Arsenal defender, which means either gambling on Rojo/Darmian or getting Smalling for Utd cover and then either blowing the budget on Bellerin or going cheap and hoping with Gabriel.

In a way the DDG option is actually easiest as he's the cheapest nailed on Utd option and I can have 10 outfield players for GW35 and use my GW35 transfer for a replacement keeper, but seems a risky proposition to gamble on all my outfield players staying injury free.

Maybe Migs is the way forward after all??

    Schmeichel DDG*
    Simpson Dier Kolarov* Moreno* Mert
    Alli Mahrez Antonio* Ozil* Ayew
    Aguero* Kane Afobe

May have been asked, but is there any way to change the white to dark themed on the site? Hurting my eyes it's so white!
    Good layout though, nice change.

Yeah I see that, and Adrian doesn't play in 35.

But, lei and WAT look better than SOU and liv, especially with Everton's defence.

            Will have to look further...

        @INTER THE WILD

I know you said only form - if that's the case you can just open FPL and sort by Form and Antonio is on top.

I picked Lanzini on GW 34 because I think he'll be nailed on, whereas Antonio is more likely to be rotated.

Look at their fixture congestion, while Bilic doesn't rotate their player much, Antonio have other players who can fill his winger position therefore more prone to rotation.
The last time they have 5 games in 15 days (I think previous 2 rounds of FA cup), Antonio was rested once and Moses (I think) play in his place.

Also, Lanzini has been pretty much injured the last 4 months so he's less fatigued and needs to play to find form. So I think he'll more likely to be played.

There are some who say that Lanzini perform better away while Antonio at home. GW 34 is 50/50 yes but Lanzini should be safer then.

By GW 37, fixture is less congested and both games are home. So I can see Antonio flourish.

So there you go. That and my crystal ball said so.
