It’s time to drop into the Weekly Shop for our final Wednesday article, as we analyse the player lists of our partner games to highlight the likely targets that will make up our own weekly squads.

As always, the player analysis is split into two sections: I’ll break down the key targets that no squad can do without in “Better Buys”, before seeking out those one-shot “Poundstretcher” prospects that can provide us points, whilst freeing up funds.

For this week’s selection, we’re focusing on the FantasyBet and DraftKing player lists.

Crystal Palace travel to Upton Park where West Ham have been resilient of late, keeping five clean sheets in seven home matches. With 15 saves and five bonus points over his last four appearances, Adrian (FantasyBet 5m, DraftKings $4,000) could be worth the extra investment compared to more budget-friendly keeper options. In midfield, Dimitri Payet (FantasyBet 7.5m, DraftKings $8,600) carried his league form into the international friendlies by netting a trademark free-kick against Russia, and the Frenchman’s two goals and four assists in five make him difficult to ignore.

Chelsea will be optimistic of extending their 14-match unbeaten league run when they visit Villa Park on Saturday lunchtime. While the Blues have been porous at Stamford Bridge, they have four clean sheets in six on the road and Branislav Ivanovic (FantasyBet 6.5m, DraftKings $4,100) offers the opportunity of points at both ends of the pitch against a team destined for the Championship.

Arsenal’s 2-0 victory at Goodison Park was a promising result for those considering investment in the Gunners ahead of Watford’s visit. The Hornets travel to the Emirates with a single shut-out in nine away trips and Hector Bellerin (FantasyBet 5.5m, DraftKings $4,200) offers the form route into the hosts’ rearguard with three assists over the last two outings.

In midfield, picking between Mesut Ozil (FantasyBet 9.5m, DraftKings $8,000) and Alexis Sanchez (FantasyBet 11m, DraftKings Forward $7,800) is once again a conundrum. The former has been more consistent in the long-term but the Chilean’s goal and a pair of assists over the last three hints at a return to form. A potentially rewarding and cheaper alternative has emerged further up the field, though, with Danny Welbeck (FantasyBet 7m, DraftKings $5,500) bagging three goals and an assist in five since returning from injury.

Sergio Aguero (FantasyBet 13m, DraftKings $8,800) may have blanked in three of his last four outings but travels to a Bournemouth team that have leaked six goals over their previous three. Despite his recent toils, the Argentine has fired 14 attempts in the box over the last four – joint-top along with Harry Kane. With City still limited by injuries in midfield, he may well be paired with Wilfried Bony (FantasyBet 8m, DraftKings $4,900) once again. While the Ivorian has not been on the pitch as much as Aguero, his 11 attempts in the box compares favourably, earning the forward a high placing in Jonty’s Goals Imminent table.

Poundstretchers

An injury to Joe Hart should see Willy Caballero (FantasyBet 4.5m, DraftKings $2,900) earn a rare stint between the sticks as City travel to Bournemouth. Manuel Pellegrini’s men have allowed their opponents a mere 11 shots inside the box in the last four – less than any other side.

Norwich are looking to chalk up a third straight clean sheet as relegation rivals Newcastle roll up to Carrow Road. Timm Klose’s (FantasyBet 4.5m, DraftKings $2,400) defensive displays have been key to the Canaries improvement, with the centre-half earning five bonus points in the last two Gameweeks. Wes Hoolahan (FantasyBet 4.5m, DraftKings $3,800) has chipped in with two goals and a pair of assists in his last four home appearances and looks a value option amongst Alex Neil’s attack.

After three successive draws, Sunderland will be hoping to give their survival bid a shot in the arm as West Brom visit the Stadium of Light. Patrick van Aanholt’s (FantasyBet 4.5m, DraftKings $3,900) five goals from defence this term is only equalled by Scott Dann, Wahbi Khazri (FantasyBet 6m, DraftKings $5,400) continues to return some promising attacking numbers, while Jermain Defoe (FantasyBet 5m, DraftKings $4,700) has scored in back-to-back outings and also looks a good value option against the Baggies, who have kept a single clean sheet in four matches.

These are the contenders for my weekly contest lineups heading into the midweek fixtures. Tomorrow I’ll also bring you up to date on my progress in FantasyBet, as I continue my quest for profit in the 2015/16 campaign.

Expected worse tbh as Mark said. Some things from testing seem to have changed live so hopefully they will get fixed. The majority are more than happy especially on mobile.

          it's fantastic on mobile.

          modern, responsive, intuitive.

only gripe I have is the featured/community articles and Sign-Up 'ad' position in between latest post (on top) and subsequent posts. breaks up the flow of navigation - but i understand why it's there.

Had a look earlier at ads etc. A bit of improvement can be made in placement etc. Glad you are enjoying the mobile version as that needed work.

replying on desktop but mobile version gives me what I need - all the important navigation immediately on screen. Latest article, 4 navigation buttons, menu pop up, voila. It's clear alot of thought has gone into this.

I'm not a designer/developer but I work in branding and communicate alot with those guys...it's a tough ask but priorities have to be set and concessions have to be made. Nice to see the website taking these steps - the small UI/X elements are great too (love the green highlights over text 😀 )

I've never known a website update never to get negative comments, ever. When you do ti often enough it's the same customers complaining. meaning if you update it twice they complain about it the first time round but then the second time round the second version was the bees knees. People just don't like change.

However the goal is to get new (unique) visitors. Repeat custom benefits affiliate sites but new custom (visitors) is essential. All of the new customers won't know any difference and to a newbee, this layout is simple and efficient.

It's like when marathon changed to snickers, people hated it at first just because it was new, made no difference in the end.

Am I missing something here or does the season ticker only show 7 fixtures, in which case its not a season ticker but a 7 game ticker.

Only 7 games left - maybe it defaults to the number of games left ... would show 8 if there were eight left?

Am I crazy to go without Payet until GW37? I view Arsenal and Liverpool mids as better options for the time being since they play in 35. I plan to have Sanchez, Ozil, Coutinho, Mahrez and Barkley/Bolasie on WC. Will switch Barkley/Bolasie to Firmino in 34.

It's not crazy but it is a real risk going without. The fella is made for FPL points - set pieces, willingness to shoot, quick teammates that are constantly running into space behind defenders.

Personally feel he's a better pick than Ozil if you already have Sanchez.

Yeah it's certainly a worry. He could single handedly end my season.

My mind is set on the Sanchez/Ozil double up. CPL + WBA, sun, NOR, mci, AVL looks fantastic.

Don't forget that Payet also gets a lot of Bonus points. Ive had him since he's been back so I'm not keen on selling him and then buying him back at the higher price. Also I don't think Barkley nor Bolas are worth it due to their form, but thats just me

I don't see Payet outscoring Barkley or Bolasie in GW33 which is the only week I'll have them for.

Im on a wildcard and I already have coutinho but am also interested in doubling up with Firming, so A or B?

    A) Rojo, Ogbanna, Klose, and Firmino
    B) Smalling, Cresswell, Sakho, and Alli

I've been leaning towards B just because there is more security and the defense is a bit more attacking, but a double up on pool midfield seems very enticing.

I prefer Firmino. Studge won't play every minute / game and Firmino will most likely play false 9 now when Origi and Tekkers are both injured.

If you are lucky that with price movement you might gain that 0.2 somehow.

Should I take a hit for a keeper? At least I gain an average of 3 points because of save points.

    WC active!!

    Courtois, Robles
    Bellerin, Simpson, Smalling, Dann, Sakho
    Firmino, Lanzini, Sanchez, Payet, Mahrez
    Welbeck, Aguero, Lukaku

    0.3m in account..
Opinions on how to improve this really appreciated.
Is Firmino a better option than the Cout?
    Ozil over Sanchez?
No Kane is a concern too.

I definitely prefer Sanchez if you can afford it.

      Dann is very expensive, with Ward 1.4m cheaper and just as nailed (without the goal threat, but a goal every 6 games on average?). That 1.4m could;

      1: upgrade Sakho to Kosc
2: get Migs in goal and Azpi instead of Sakho

Option 2 brings better balance to the team for me.

I like the idea of Wellbeck, but with so many games he is sure to be rotated

      Ozil over Sanchez.
Downgrade dann. Why would you want a palace defender?! Get Reid in.

      And get Kane back immediately

WC options based on keeping Kane, or getting rid for a DGW player.

Option 1: Kane, Rojo, Gabriel, Ward
Option 2: Ighalo, Smalling, Kosc, Jags

I need to add more players to this option but a revised conundrum is:

1: Kane, Rojo, Gabriel, Ward, Migs
2: Martial, Lovren, Kosc, Jags, DDG
3: Ighalo, Smalling, Kosc, Ward, Migs

Repost from yesterday (just before the site went down for the update).

Dilemma! Which are the best defenders to own for GW32 for £6.0m or less?

This is my team for GW32 at the moment, I have 2FTs which will be "wasted" if I don't use them this week because I'm planning to wildcard next week so I can bench boost in GW34.

I'm loathed to ditch Özil or Gomes as I'd want them back for GW34 and would lose a significant amount of funds.

That leaves me with the prospect of ditching Alderweireld or van Dijk for someone like Ashley Williams perhaps. Any suggestions for a better short term transfer or two for this week or should I just stick with what I've got?

    Fabianski - (Gomes)
Azpilicueta - Huth - van Dijk - (Ward) - (Alderweireld)
    Silva - Mahrez - Sigurdsson - Alli - (Özil)
    Agüero - Vardy - Kane

    £0.0m ITB

    2FT + Wildcard + Bench Boost + Triple Captain

Real confusion between Coutinho and Firmino. Not keen on doubling up.

Who is more nailed on to start both games in GW 34?
Currently on Coutinho because cheaper and in better form.

Need to complete my defense. Which combo?

    a) Robles - Darlow
    Bellerin - Rojo - Gabriel - Sakho - Simpson

    b) DDG - Darlow
    Bellerin - Jags - Gabriel - Sakho - Simpson

    c) Mignolet - Robles
Bellerin - Smalling- Gabriel - Morgan - Simpson

    d) Cech - Robles
    Smalling - Gabriel - Sakho - Morgan - Simpson

With A) I have spare money to do Bolasie punt (instead of playing Ozil on GW 33)

With A), I can punt on Bolasie. With the others I'm stuck with Ozil (whm) + 4
Also not keen on losing Bellerin. But
