Got to bench one of Lanzini (ARS), Ozil (whm), Martial (tot) next week.

I'm thinking Martial, who would you bench?

      Martial, easily.

      - Spurs best defence
      - United worst attack
      - Lanzini top form
      - WHM against big sides = win
      - Arsenal pushing for title so they'll definitely score (hope Ozil is involved this time)

    DDG Darlow
    Bellerin Gabriel Reid Sakho Simpson
    Mahrez Fabregas Payet Lennon Ozil
    Aguero Kane Lukaku

    1 FT, 0.2 in bank

    1 - Fabs --> Coutinho
    2 - Ozil and Fabs ---> Sanchez and Barkley/Lanzini/Milner for -4
3 - Ozil and Kane --> Sanchez and Martial for -4

Will buy Kane back for Aguero if I do 3 in GW35

Another go then! No Bellerin, but who cares if Gabriel plays for 2M less.

    DDG - Robles
    Gabriel - Sakho - Simpson - Delaney - Moreno/Janmaat
    Sanchez - Ozil - Payet - Coutinho - Bolasie
    Kun - Lukaku - Martial

    This makes me happy 🙂

I want to bring in Sanchez but should I juggle things to keep Ozil alongside Sanchez for the DGW or is Ozil just a write off at this point and Ozil > Sanchez the best option? I've heard he's playing deep, will arsenal players coming back from injury push him forward again?

    1. Odikostar
      • 11 Years
      10 years, 4 months ago

I wouldn't say he's playing deep, but iwobi, sanchez snd welbz take up a lot of space. He's nevertheless my tripplecaptain in 34, and I will advice yo to keep him 😉

I have Ozil, Bellerin, and Kosc, and am not wildcarding until gw36, but I will spend a FT to get in Sanchez, probably for Ozil. Sanchez is rounding into form and is a flat track bully facing Palace and West Brom. Best TC opportunity of the season, plus Sunderland in gw35 as added bonus.

On a related note, I threw one of my dogs in the canal when she was young and wouldn't join in the swimming fun with the others.
I had to go in and save her. She's 13 now and never went near the water again. Feel bad about it now looking back 🙁

    I still don't think it's possible to have a great GW34 team, a great GW35 team and then a good GW37 team.

Will probably keep Payet, Barkley, Lukaku, Martial for their second DGW and just play 4-3-1 in GW35.

34 14 DGW + kane (if i toss Mahrez before 34). 35 Strong line up. 37 9 DGW + Aguero and Kane (after the 2 FT).

Yeah GW35 will be tough. I will have to pray for a Mahrez, Kane, Alli low scores as I cant get them in without hits. That gameweek could easily undo any success from the DGW34

    Whats people feeling on Jagielka?

Hes in my current WC draft and with back to back doubles and a slight goal threat looked a good option.

I think I'll have him and stay with Hennessy as 2nd GK.
First i thought I'll go with Robles and Ward/Delaney but I don't fancy CPL defenders

Yup. I have a similar problem in that my transfer plans down the line depended on Rojo--I don't have him, which is good, but everything I meant to do depended on getting him as United defensive cover.

    Darlow - Robles
    Janmaat - Bellerin - Sakho - *** - ***
    Sanchez - Coutinho - Payet - Lanzini - ***
    Aguero - Lukaku - ***

    A) Koscielny - Coleman / Firmino / Mitrovic (£1.1m ITB)
    B) Monreal – Mangala / Firmino / Martial (£0.1m ITB)
    C) Gabriel - Clyne / KDB / Martial (£0.2m ITB)

    A) gives me 7 DGW forwards in GW37 and more security from rotation
    B) gives me 7 DGW forwards but rotation risks of Mangala + Monreal
    C) gives me KDB, 6 DGW forwards but rotation risk of Gabriel

Any preferences gents? Currently thinking that C will reward me most

    1. Jay_

C looks the most solid for the rest of the season, A would also require a hit in 35 to get XI too

    Robles - Darlow*
    Bellerin* - Otamendi* - Darmian - Sakho* - Gabriel*
Sanchez* - De Bruyne* - Coutinho* - Payet - Lennon*
    Aguero* - Lukaku - Mitrovic*

0.1m left over. save a FT for 34, flexibility to adjust in 35 by moving the likes of Lennon. *'s play in 35

need to figure out the Manc defense though..
    A) Otamendi - Darmian
    B) Smalling - Clichy
    C) Smalling - Mangala

    1. Jay_

In that order in defence for me, A being safest, just a thought, if you Forget Coutinho and go Firmino. Then you can get Bolasie or Barkley in as place holder and just use them for one week. Firmino is dropping tomorrow so will be affordable by gw34

wow..I can't believe Firmino is going to fall again..

guess I would punt on Bolasie then since I have Lennon in (mistakenly *ed above)

or maybe Barkley and then make Lennon into Lanzini..

        1. Jay_
          10 years, 4 months ago

I'd stick exactly as you are but take Coutinho out for Bolasie, take advantage of 33 it's being way overlooked, Then switch Bolasie to Firmino in 34 (Coutinho will be unaffordable by then but Firmino will be fine)

            1. Jay_
              10 years, 4 months ago

Yh will 100% double rise. Just keep him in and make your mind up at deadline. Keep an eye on Bolasie though he's rising swiftly, maybe put him in Lennons place for now

              1. Jay_
                10 years, 4 months ago

Lennon rising even faster actually so keep him in. No rush for Bolasie in yet

      I honestly don't know.

Rojo was apparently jet lagged, and as mentioned before he actually rarely misses a game when not injured for United so could continue playing.

Darmian also doesn't have much competition but Valencia could get a game. Borthwick-Jackson could get a game, Jones might be back soon so could put Blind at LB (although I don't see that happening, might just get a rest).

Darmian potentially better than Rojo but who really knows.

Smalling or De Gea still the only real choices. All others a bit of a risk no matter which way you look at it.

Personally including all upcoming gameweeks in the thinking, even 38. Liverpool have a very busy schedule with 2 games vs Dortmund coming up though, so they have increased rotation threat.

    Hennessey
    Bellerin - Alderweireld - Daniels - Fuchs
    Mahrez - Alli - Payet
    Lukaku - Kane - Aguero (C)
Subs: De Gea, Cresswell, Firmino and Arnautovic.

    1FT
    Bank: 1.9.

    Bellerin Gabriel Cresswell (Fuchs) (Francis)
