This evening we reveal the result of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup XII final and the name of the Fantasy manager who has joined previous winners donnellyc, Jonty, Gribude, Goonerdave, Ninja_Fit_Saints, sleeping master, Mch, Wild Rover, Tdubb05 , CMIFLFC and Mark in our Cup hall of fame.

With a rank of 2,842 Leon Harris went into the Fantasy Football Scout Cup XII final, against 27,046 ranked community regular Numb, with form on his side.

Leon was at a disadvantage heading into Gameweek 32, though. While he had used up all his chips in his march to the final, including a savvy triple captaincy of Harry Kane for his semi-final clash with konman, Numb had a second wildcard, triple captaincy and bench boost at his disposal, as well as two free transfers.

Instead of using his chips to help his cause in the final, Numb opted to prioritise the forthcoming double Gameweeks, leaving Leon to claim a comfortable victory by 84 points to 69.

Numb may have shunned the use of his chips but he did use his two free transfers well, taking out Spurs defender Toby Alderweireld, who conceded against Liverpool, and Manchester City’s injured midfielder Yaya Toure for Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin, who netted 14 Fantasy Premier League points, and Dimitri Payet, who scored a wonder goal from a free kick.

Leon’s XI proved too strong, though, with his differentials of Swansea’s Gylfi Sigurdsson, Manchester City’s David Silva and Leicester’s Wes Morgan all bringing in the points. The 15 FPL points from Morgan meant that Leon managed to outgun Numb’s Leicester defender Christian Fuchs, who still scored an impressive 10 FPL points

Leon’s victory takes him to an impressive 1,303rd in the overall rankings and earns him first prize of a £200 Amazon voucher.

Numb is now 23,218th overall but with his chips still to play he looks well-placed for a further climb up the rankings. He also takes away the runner-up prize of a £100 Amazon voucher to console himself.

Thanks to all those who took part in this competition, which this year showed how the use of chips and wildcards can prove pivotal to success.

First RMWC team - any thoughts welcome....

    Robles / Mignolet
    Bellerin / Gabriel / Simpson / Smalling / Darmian
    Sanchez / Coutinho / Payet / Bolasie / Firmino
    Lukaku / Kun / Mitrovic

Nailedness of Darmian concerned me when I looked at him.

I think keeping Leicester at the back is particularly prudent.

I've bough into the Lanzini instead of Payet enabler.

I saw the replay on Hummels goal 3 times!!
Both sakho and lovren didn't even try to jump and head to clear the ball.
Poor defense on a set piece situation.
Makes me worry about their defense on as an owner!

Probably my final choice (famous last words):

    A) Mangala and Mitrovic
    B) Otamendi and Deeney

I think Mitrovic has slightly more upside than Deeney for GW34, but Otamendi is guaranteed starts, and Deeney looks great for GW36 (AVL), GW37 (double) and GW38 (SUN).

Slightly? Watford are bang out of form and in the FA semis, with a safe middle table placing

Fair enough. I think he still has a few goals and/or assists in him given he's on pens and doesn't seem to be the type to let up.

But I'm currently on A, so I was leaning toward Mitro anyway.

        Cheers.

The latest final draft of the WC team!

    De Gea, Kasper
    Smalling, Gabriel, Bellerin, Delaney, Lovren
    KdB, Sanchez, Coutiniho, Lanzini, Lennon
    Aguero, Lukaku, Mitrovic

A variation on this sees Kasper replaced by Darlow to allow Jagielka instead of Lovren.

    Azpil. Bellerin. Simpson.

    Sanchez. Payet. Coutinho. Lennon.

    Kane. Kun. Lukaku.

    Bench: Darlow. Kosc. Sakho. Lanzini.

    Appreciate some feedback (:

    Robles / Darlow
    Bellerin / Gabriel / Sakho / Jags / Simpson
    Bolasie / Sanchez / KDB / Lanzini / Coutinho
    Kun / Mitro / Lukaku
*Got shitty team value btw ): (0.1m ITB)

4 DGW in 33, 14 DGW in 34 (thinking of swapping bolasie out for 34 though)

    Thanks all (:

No UTD defence a huge error IMO. & double Everton defence is a bit dodgy too!

None of the United defenders are nailed on except Smalling which I definitely cannot afford unless I swap Bellerin for him which would be a bigger mistake. I'm staying away from palace defenders too and went for jags!

I took a peek at your team. You must have awesome team value. So jealous now.
