Roberto Firmino is back in contention for Liverpool’s home clash with Stoke, though the Reds have major concerns over Jordan Henderson. West Ham duo Sam Byram and James Collins are not yet ready to return, Aaron Ramsey could be back in the Arsenal squad, whilst Yohan Cabaye and Connor Wickham are passed fit for Palace’s double Gameweek.

Roberto Firmino returned to action with a sub appearance in Liverpool’s draw with Dortmund last night. Jordan Henderson could be set for a stint on the sidelines, though – the Reds’ skipper was forced off with a knee injury at the break, with Jurgen Klopp conceding that the initial prognosis “doesn’t look good”.

Sam Byram and James Collins will return to training for West Ham today but will remain sidelined for the weekend clash with Arsenal. Cheick Kouyate is available for selection after the FA rescinded a three-match ban triggered by his dismissal against Palace last Saturday.

Aaron Ramsey and Mathieu Flamini are expected to be available for Arsenal’s trip to Upton Park after stepping up their recoveries in training. Jack Wilshere and Tomas Rosicky will step up their recoveries with a run-out for the reserves this evening.

Yohan Cabaye and Connor Wickham have been passed fit for Palace’s clash with Norwich this weekend. Emmanuel Adebayor faces a late fitness test, whilst James McArthur and Brede Hangeland remain on the sidelines.

Adam Smith is a doubt for Bournemouth’s trip to Villa after he was forced off with a hernia problem against City last weekend. Harry Arter, Benik Afobe and Stanislas are still unavailable, whilst Callum Wilson is “not far away” from returning after months on the sidelines with knee ligament damage.

Andre Ayew is available for Swansea’s clash with Chelsea after recovering from a calf complaint. Leon Britton and Jordi Amat are both doubts due to back problems.

Shane Long is back in contention for Southampton’s home match with Newcastle, though Steven Davis will miss out with an ankle problem picked up against Leicester last weekend.

Gareth Barry is available for Everton’s double Gameweek after serving out a two-match ban in last week’s loss to United. Leon Osman and Steven Pienaar are expected to recover from knocks in time for tomorrow’s trip to Watford.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream for breaking news – as the day unfolds, we will issue updates from Friday’s press conferences and refresh our Team News tab accordingly to keep you informed.

with just that information I'd say Martial, but Mitrovic gives you 1.4M to spend elsewhere. Personally, I've gone Mitrovic.

I think unless the press conferences reveal anything startling I'm not going to give any more thought to my WC team now. It's a bit like a pub quiz when you're torn between a couple of answers - always go for what you wrote down first 🙂

Sure, I'm aware of the shortcomings I've got here (lighter midfield than most) but it makes me happy 🙂

Doing Cech -> Darlow and Lennon -> Iwobi would free up a fair bit of cash to upgrade elsewhere but I honestly don't want to think about it any more!

        Robles, Cech
        Sakho, Gabriel, Smalling, Fuchs, Dawson
        Firmino, Sanchez, Milner, Payet, Lennon
        Lukaku, Martial, Aguero

No Bellerin in favour of Cech is an interesting one. I should probably give that more consideration although I'd have to go Fuchs too instead of a Newcastle defender I think.

              Unless I do:
              Cech -> Mignolet
              Sakho -> Bellerin

I think I can just about afford that and stick to my plan.

Not sure if that weakens my actual starting 11 in a couple of future weeks though. Hmm.

Damn you Andy I said I wasn't going to look at this any more! 👿

Well you've made me look at mine now!

I currently have Darlow+Bellerin. I have the exact money for Cech+Fuchs instead. Or Cech+Janmaat.

Bellerin was one of the first in my teamsheet! Now I'm doubting it thanks to you!

    The KDB permutations:

    1) Robles / Clyne - Janmaat / KDB / Martial
    2) DDG / Jagielka - Sakho / KDB / Mitrovic

    KDB-less ventures

    A) DDG / Gabriel - Dawson / Firmino / Martial
    B) Robles / Koscielny - Janmaat / Firmino / Martial

KDB or no? Utd defense or United attack?

Depends how Payet affects your team and how well you think he'll do out of:

      Arsenal - Leicester/Watford - blank.

Lanzini not a direct replacement for me, just someone who fits my need for a cheap nailed on midfielder.

Quite risky, especially after Mertesacker's comments about how he's working hard in training to win his place back, etc. Could easily see him getting a game. Bellerin also has so much attacking potential that he'd likely outscore Gabriel by a good bit over the last 6-7 fixtures even if Gabriel did start every one.

Accidentally posted on the old article:

Morning all. A few details to finalise on the WC today, any thoughts would be great.

    A) Mignolet, Bellerin, KDB and Mitrovic
    B) De Gea, Bellerin, Firmino and Martial
    C) Darlow, Monreal, Firmino and Kane

    Rest of the team:

Which bit of it? Mitro is only questionable one, but Newcastle have to score and if they do it will be him.

Ideally you'd have Martial but KDB with your mid is much better than double up with coutinho & firmino

A or B for the blanks?
    A Sakho, Firmino, Barkley, Martial
    B Darmian, Lennon, KDB, Rashford

    Rest:
    Robles Darlow
    Gabriel Bellerin Simpson Delaney, ______
    Couthino Payet Sanchez______, _______
    Kun, Lukaku, ____________

    Mignolet de Gea
    Gabriel Jagielka Smalling Ward Sakho
De Bruyne Iwobi Bolasie Lennon Payet
    Agüero Lukaku Welbeck

    Bolasie to Silva/Firmino/Coutinho for GW34

Iwobi and Welbeck are risks I guess but I'm chasing in money leagues where everyone will be wildcarding around this time and I need to gain back points somehow.

    All thoughts appreciated. Ta!

Snap. I'd be captaining him if it wasn't for the Lukaku's DGW. I had been planning to get Martial in, but Pelle has the same number of games over the next 3 weeks, including a great one vs Villa in 35, and is in better form in team scoring more goals.

Is nobody else concerned about Coutinho? Played 90 minutes in a high intensity game last night and will do the same next Thursday. Is he going to start against Stoke? Is he going to start against Bournemouth? I'm not sure he will, not with the Derby afterward. Pool aren't going to get fourth, so is anybody worried about a lot of key players being rested? I just don't think he's worth his price tag unless he's nailed to start both games in the double.

I just don't see it. Please feel free to tell me otherwise!

This is it...my final final WC team! Any thoughts?

Have 2.4ITB to ship Delaney and Lanzini in WC35

    Mignolet I De Gea
    Bellerin I Gabriel I Fuchs I Jags I Delaney
    Coutinho I Firmino I Payet I Sanchez I Lanzini
    Mitro I Kun I Lukaku

Easy, it isn't your final wildcard team.

Saying that, it's a great team.

Keep Lanzini as he has another double. Agüero to Costa for his GW37 double. Maybe Lukaku to Martial for his?

Why are there not many people on here thinking of keeping Mahrez or Vardy for one more week? I know it means having to take one extra transfer in GW34 to swap them for a DGW player, but surely their GW33 fixture is tasty enough to take a gamble?

    A few Liverpool questions...

Did Firmino do anything in his 15 min spell last night?

Seems likely to start this weekend and has a game in 35, worth replacing Payet with him? Who is his competition and will he likely play every game now or is it too early?

Also who is the best Liverpool defensive option out of Sakho, Lovren and Moreno?

I wouldn't be confident with ousting Payet to make way for him, but he's certainly the favoured option of the Liverpool mids in my opinion. With Henderson picking up an injury last night I would assume Milner would now be first choice to play alongside Can (who is suspended until Apr 20), leaving less rotation options in the three attacking midfield positions. Jordan Ibe's not been getting a look in recently leaving coutinho, Lallana and Firmino (assuming origin and storage will rotate the forward position). I'd say Firmino's nailed.

For baps I would go with Sakho.
