Impressed with those forward playing United lads today..I've not said that of a United team in a long time. Rashford, Lingard and Martial all play a very similar brand of football...big tick for that.

Lingard just lacks that bit of quality the other two have in abundance.. Surely that right side is a position will be addressed in the summer

Went to the game today and we discussed Lingard as the weak link. His end product is missing

To be fair I think the end product is missing in all three. They create plenty of chances but I don't think any of them will ever be prolific. Great to watch today though...

First half in particular. Rashford's pace is awesome. I think he could be prolific and Martial could up his assists. Just don't see anything special in Lingard. Too often the moves ended or broke down with him. Carrick looked off the pace second half

Carrick's pretty much cooked now.. certainly shouldn't be on the park for more than an hour.. Schneiderlin should be playing week in week out

We mustn't forget how young these lads are though and considering that and what relatively little experience they have of top level first team football both Martial and Rashford have shown a lot of composure in front of goal and the all round game of both is remarkable also very impressive.. Lingard is lively direct very quick but that's really about it

should be at a minimum a massive fine for the club. i would dock points in league too. harder to deal with cup competitions

problem is way bigger than sakho tho obviously. hardly any blood tests in football, the people in charge don't want to know

            • 12 Years
            10 years, 2 months ago

To be fair UKADA want to know just don't have anywhere near the budget required so they focus on the higher risk sports, i.e. Athletics, Swimming and Cycling where its all about physiology whereas football, rugby and cricket etc are more skills oriented.

Can't call him a cheat, just foolish, the intention was to lose fat. Kolo Toure had a similar problem a few seasons ago when he took his wife's fat bruning pills.

this its even to a lesser extent, its pretty much like him having a energy drink, a doped up piece of steak or just gym muscles supplements.

He's not even 100% guilty yet

no, you're totally wrong! if you want you can argue whether something should be banned or not. and that's a totally different argument. but if something is banned, then that's the rules, you can't take it, end of. if you take it it, you are breaking the rules and you are cheating. these players are better because they are taking the banned drugs. this is cheating, pure and simple

if you didn't know it was in the product it's totally different

depends how he went about it, he isn't guilty yet your making it out like he did it purposely to gain an advantage when it was never in his system prior to that Man utd game

nonsense, no they don't. only the odd one, for a urine test. there are very very few blood tests. half of all players go through whole career without ever having a blood test. urine tests pick up fk all

                1. no it isn't. the player is responsible for what he puts into himself. this is absolutely basic.

                2. true, not guilty yet. however, he's failed a test. the scientifically proven test has failed. for admin reasons he needs to fail another one.

                3. "never in his system" lol 🙂 players are hardly ever tested

right on the first 2 but football isn't as strict as the other sports in this area and need to get better half the players are probably doping

Last pt your wrong they get tested alot it's the most annoying thing for them

                  • 12 Years
                  10 years, 2 months ago

"admin reasons" = said scientifically proven test will have a false positive rate that is known so a second test is done for verification.

not really. if there are levels of "X" then it's X normally, if the test is robust. that said, i failed a drugs test once for something i didn't take

                      • 12 Years
                      10 years, 2 months ago

Yes, its "X" normally but pretty much any test under the sun has a false positive rate of some description, ideally, and I assume tests are to be WADA ratified, its highly stringent and less than 1 in 10,000 but it can and does happen.

I'm with Axolotl here and just as an FYI fat burner is such as loose term. It can be anything from the caffeine in your coffee to anabolic steroids. If he's being investigated for a fat burner it is almost certainly a performance enhancing drug. Whether his B sample nails him or not is another question.

Made so many mistakes this season. Funnily enough, finally getting Mahrez and Vardy put a halt to that, cancelling out ML rivals and allowing other punts to shine. Have learnt lots about nullifying players in other ML teams. Seems obvious but I've never blocked as such before.

Hope you keep it going, Nidge. I have a plan for the final DGW so fingers crossed.

The three consecutive 0 points for Clichy(that count) have been very painful as well as Sakho 0 today and the Mensah/Coleman DGW contributions have probably cost me in my ML...damn....

The Yaya injury had me thinking.

What do you think to this rule?

3 subs can be used as normal, but every team is allowed 1 extra 'emergency' sub to be used for whatever reason. The catch is that whoever comes on, is not allowed to play in the next game. They're effectively given a 1 match ban.

What could you even do with that? I like the idea of the player manage chip or whatever but what could it actually be?

I know. You get a free 1 week transfer for one player for one week. You can swap with any player you don't own for one week up to the value of the player you loan out

Looking forward to Watford vs CPL tomorrow. Watford have done really well this season, during odd spells, both defensively and offensively...and CPL remain as one of my favourite clubs (great fans).

I was amazed to see an article today that both manager's are under "threat"...WTF is wrong with clubs these days?...given their budgets and size of clubs both managers are doing just fine and dandy imo...
