Another Gameweek, another Harry Kane blank.

As covered in Sunday’s Knee Jerk, it wasn’t supposed to be like this, so in this week’s Technical Area we’ll be digging through the rubble of another disappointing weekend at Wembley and dissecting exactly what seems to be ailing Spurs – and in particular their talismanic forward.

I find every season much the same , first 1 to 5 game weeks much turbulence. Then normally settles and we can identify the better teams in each level of the PL.
Really tempted to WC this week however such a huge swing in fixtures from gw 6 or even from gw 8 that think best to hold steady .
Lose a little value now , will pick it up later
To those chasing value at the expense of all else just remember 70% of the top 10 finishes in the last 2 seasons had TVs of less than 105 mil . go figure

Really about having the patience to get a better "picture" versus a higher TV. Higher TV guys generally do better than average , yet you hardly see them in the top echelons come end of season

After a 61pt GW, What would you do with this lot? I definitely want to get rid of KDB.

    2FT, 0ITB

    DeGea, Elliot

    KDB, Willian, Mhiki, Fraser, Carrol
    Jesus, Firmino, Kane

    Thanks!

61 points this GW pretty solid I believe!

KdB to eriksen/Mane before he drops, probably roll the next FT over in case of injuries etc 🙂

Yeah a good week considering captain was on Kane.

Like your thinking, these were two I had in mind, or Salah. It's a question of triple spurs or double Liverpool.

Will definitely keep 1ft for after the international break, thinking of replacing one of the bouremouth players or bringing in Morata.

          I got 60 with (k)ane haha

Salah has been great for me 66% of the time - scores of 11, 1, 11 aren't too shabby and he could/should have scored more against ARS

Nice! Kane will come good, not shifting him.

If he starts converting more of his chances, the 0.5/0.6 less is well worth it!

These comparisons always misleading , as you need to look at full team.
      As it stands A
But when Kane regains his Mojo would you Cpt any of A above him ? NO and Captains win FPL

Liverpool admitting to Cout that he can leave.

If they don't sign anyone else of note then from an FPL perspective good. Need less piranhas in the tank at Liverpool.

Long term will stick with Firm though, 3 games in and the midfield is already a headache.

Markovic to Watford if he moves at 5.5M or less could be a good move
    Sakho to Palace also likely

Fair enough. Feel as though Watford will be much better with Silva as manager. Best to wait to see which cheap option is best after 10 games.

1FT, 0M ITB. Problem players? Willian, Jesus and Kane for either their value to points or nailedness.

    Foster Elliot
    Jones Stephens Mee Naughton Suttner
    Mkhitaryan Salah Willian Atsu Carroll
    Jesus Lukaku Kane

If Mark WCed and got Kane out wanting to bring him in GW5, what are your thoughts on using a FT for Kane>Jesus (LIV could be a high scoring match with Jesus OR Aguero getting a lot of pts) and then using the next FT for Jesus>Kane?
The increase in TV would range from 0.1 (worst case scenario) to 0.5 (best case scenario).

Yup, arguably. That's why I'm interested in opinions, with a tad more detail behind their reasoning though

I have bigger problems that 0.1 in TV so not worth it in my opinion, but depends no how happy you are with the rest of your team/likelihood of injuries

Well 0.1 wouldn't be worth it probably, but anything upwards of .2 would, and if Kane falls .3 and Jesus rises .1 you get a .4 increase come GW4, and all it would take for that to happen is Kane not scoring vs Everton, and Jesus scoring vs Liverpool... not that unlikely.
I'm very happy with my team, but you can never know with injuries... hopefully I'll have none

Who are you captaining mate? Why is a maximum of extra 7-8 points tempting you so much?

Morata if I don't sell Kane, Jesus if I do.
A potential increase of .4 in TV (and that's .4 ITB mind you) is tempting me.

Kane won't drop 0.3m before GW5. People will still buy him for Swansea. And Jesus will need to rise 0.2m for you to see a 0.1m profit. I don't see both happening in any case. More likely, Kane will drop 0.2m and Jesus will rise 0.1m. You will only net 0.2m in the best case, which is all assuming Kane blanks and Jesus does not.

Yes I would do that, and disagree that it is a waste of two transfers as the value will make a big difference to the overall team in the coming weeks.

I think so too, but how big of a gamble is it.
TBH I'm wondering whether people think Jesus starts and scores vs LIV (because Pep is nuts and you don't know with him) and whether Kane will fall .2m over the international break. If the answer is yes to both I'm doing the transfer.

Yes....go to FPL Stats page and it confirms the anticipated drop and rise for Kane and Jesus.

I have, but Jesus is still going down (going by fplstatistics), a goal vs LIV and a start would change that for sure, and Kane might only drop by .1m, as he has been on -75% for over a week, and now he is on -98% after another blank. His price isn't THAT volatile.
That would be my worst case scenario

Do you think the gamble is worth it? It basically comes down to that, but the only thing I'd be losing is 2 FTs.
I'd value your input. Its worth noting that I'm very happy with my current team as I have (in my opinion successfully) WCed the previous week.

Unless you have 2 FT and a perfect team where you don't know where else to use your transfers, these moves are a waste.
