Will Thomas is among Fantasy Football’s rare polymaths, with the ability to excel in two different formats, Fantasy Premier League and Sky Fantasy Football.

In FPL he has five top 10,000 finishes including overall ranks of 753 and 82, while on Sky he has breached the top 100 on four occasions.

But as Will explains in our latest Meet the Manager video interview, juggling two different formats can have its pitfalls as well as its advantages.

He chats to me about his strategies for success and how to achieve a top finish. We also look back on his 2017/18 campaign, in which hedging his picks across two formats cost him dearly in FPL.

In addition, he reveals how Sky’s patient approach, due to limited transfers, as well as its focus on fixtures with multiple captaincy selections allowed, has helped Will to excel across most of his FPL career.

Will’s views on the current season also prove illuminating, including why managers need to take advantage of an unusually high number of budget gems this term.

He also reveals why he is shunning Harry Kane and is instead pinning his hopes for success on another, far cheaper, striker.

With a current FPL rank of 26,711, he looks to be already on his way to another strong season.

The chat with Will is available to view on Youtube here and in the embedded video below.

The first Meet the Manager video, featuring Triggerlips can be viewed here, while the second, featuring Philman, can be seen here.

As a potential non-Kane owner for this GW, would it be very maverick to captain Lukaku over Hazard?

Glad that TAA didn't rise! My issue now is that I have to make an early FT before the international break if I want to upgrade Holgate to him, I have enough ITB to do so. Hate making early transfers before the break but I think I've got to bite the bullet here don't you think?

    AWB vs Wolves defender

Think a lot of people are in this predicament and I'd usually opt for the home defender in cases like this. Clean sheet odds are 33% Home and 29% Away.

Think I'm going for the Wolves defender in this case though. Palace have scored no goals at home this season and given the form Wolves are in, I can't see Palace keeping them out.

What about the goalkeepers if you have both?

For the defenders I think it depends who you have. I would probably play Doherty or Jonny for attacking threat but I’m going to play AWB over Bennett.

Save ft or any other ideas?

    Patricio Hamer
    Alonso Roberson Awb Mendy Lindelof
    Hazard Bilva Fraser Gunmundsson 4.4
    Kane kun mitro

Thinking about maybe wildcarding next week so would be a waste of a ft if I do but I don’t want to waste a ft if I decide not to wc

Mendy out. You also need to ditch Lindelof and I don’t think your midfield is good.

Hey DZ. Any suggestions to lineup or transfers?

    1 ft 0.2 itb

    Hennesey
    Alonso Trippier Doherty
    Hazard Mane Maddison Richarlison
    Kane (C) Aguero Jimenez

    Subs: Hamer AWB Obiang Peltier

Leaning towards saving. Need to get rid of Hennesey soon though. Could do Hennesey --> Hart?

Depends on what happens but if I do ill likely wait for the week to finish because I’m not sure. If someone I really want looks likely to rise i might activate it though

Im more and more tempted to wait/save. My top tf/transfers this weekend was Aguero to Kane, or Get in Trippier som how. Then activate wc tonight. But some talk about trippier chance of rest, has given me could feet.
Im looking for another smart move. Have 2.1 itb.

I know it's hardly exciting, however I have one final decision on the FH...

    1) Son & Arny
    2) Lamela & Vardy

Leaning 1 right now, although Lamela has looked quite good and should get his first PL start of the season.

I'd say 1. Lamela is not a guaranteed starter once Spurs get healthy.

It's on a free hit, not a WC, so not worried about long-term.

Triple Pool, triple City (Mendy, Ederson, Kun), No Spurs, no Chelsea, the stars aligned and there's plenty of ways to play the game.

Evening All - I'm moving King and Mendy for -4. Which would you rather:

    A. Jimenez and Alonso (already have Doherty)
    B. Arnie and TAA (already have Robertson)

Given the fixtures B. Alonso may give you a heartache once in a while but both TAA and arnie have awesome longterm fixtures

Yes, it's a big disclaimer for this week.
Thing is, I have in the back of my mind some of last year's plum games that he managed to do sweet f.a.
So it's a calculated gamble to hope that he stays calm after Europe.
        Hazard needs to perform too.

    Patricio
    AWB Trippier Alonso
    Mane Hazard Richarlison Maddison Fraser
    Aguero Mitro
    Stek Holebas Wilson Doherty

    A. Aguero to Kane (c) on a FT
    B. Save the FT & make Hazard(c)
    C. Aguero & Wilson to Vardy & Laca for a hit

Which is the best move ?

From next Gameweek would you choose:

    A)Mane and Vardy
B)Salah and 6.9 or lower striker, thinking Glenn Murray fixture wise.
