Ross Barkley‘s (£5.8m) 17-point haul against Burnley has already made him the top transfer target ahead of Gameweek 11.

At the time of writing, he has been signed by 173,000+ managers as Chelsea prepare to host Crystal Palace.

But is Barkley worth bringing into our teams or is recruiting him for our squads simply a kneejerk reaction to a double-figure haul?

      I'm not so sure. He doesn't need to tear it up to be a good pick at his price. Looks like a tailor made replacement for Fraser to me.

      I know, I have already regreted getting him.

      If I had saved transfer, I could have done Knockeart and Aguero to Mane and Murray/Wilson to double up on Lpool against Fulham. Would then get KDB for Mane.

      Of course. So Yedlin & Ings would be the two you'd want to replace them with. But that would mean downgrading one of Aguero, Salah, Hazard or Mane to fund it. Tough call.

        Budget wise Salah wouldn't work and had mane since day 1 and was starting to annoy me with lack of points and thought Sterling would outscore. School boy error

      Don't panic. It's always a bit of a yikes moment when a post wild card week is a disaster. You have to have as a minimum Mane from Liverpool. I would do Mitrovic to Arnautovic and Laca to cheapie (Murray?). That should give you cash to upgrade to Mane. If you need more cash downgrade Robertson.

        Wow thanks man really appreciate this input. That’s a really good shout although I’m tempted to hold on pool attackers until next week where I may do sterling to salah or mane depending who looks better.

      I wouldn't go Martial, at least just yet. Would downgrade him to Rich, Maddison etc and then can absorb any Mendy price rises and avoid a hit.

      I had hell of a Sunday. Started with watching Arsenal draw and therefore kill their momentum before the Liverpool game. While that was happening had Alonso get a clean sheet and assist to bring 11 points in. Then watched Man United versus Everton while my missus made an incredible chicken and chorizo jambalaya seeing both Martial and Richarlison return for me, ending the day at 4.8k. There was morning and evening sex, but that's neither here nor there when it comes to a good fantasy day as you said!

        current between this and vokes. am starting to think this is the way to go, hes gonna get the next game at least before deeney his back and if he does well he will prods play with deeney up top. manager seems to have faith in him and vokes isn't a very uninteresting option so may as well risk it. will at least have the money if it goes wrong.

      Not explosive? Probably not many more explosive haulers than that man. It’s amazing how much his stock has fallen, even read here about comparisons with Wilson because they have similar points tally’s. Is his minutes a concern, a tad but his security of starts have been better than they have for a long time

        I've sold him this week to fund Salah (pre price rise). Wanted to hold off til next week after Southampton but bit the bullet knowing he'd rise today Happily admit this could backfire but I'm just not happy with the 60 minute substitutions every week. He isn't a viable captaincy option anymore given he blanks most away games and is subbed after an hour every game.

    Any suggestions for trades for this upcoming gameweek? I feel like I have no 'must' trades, unless it's getting Mendy in. Only other option is downgrading Jiminez to Success for some cash or either fixing my bench. Have 2 free transfers.

        Was planning on getting one in but became a choice between Laca and Firmino / Sterling and Mane. Easy to say with hindsight that the former would not get returns...

          Well I'd never even consider Firmino anymore imo, he's playing far too deep now for him to ever be worth his price. You were unlucky with Sterling being benched for GW9 but personally I'd have always had one of Mane or Salah in my team during those fixtures (I have both for the record) as it's way too big of a risk not to imo.

          Lacazette I wouldn't have wildcarded to neither as his fixtures were/are pretty tough from GW9 to GW15, I know you'll say this is hinesight but I did say to my girlfriends Dad who's an Arsenal fan that the next 7 fixtures will show where they're really at as they're quite tough and that was pre Leicester.

          Anyway, not trying to kick you while you're down just giving my perspective on the wildcard. In regards to your suggested transfer I do like it a lot. Assuming Arnautovic is fit, I think that's a very good option.

            Yes I mostly brought Lacazette in on form and lack of options in that price bracket but think now will be the right time to let him go.

            Thanks for your help, will monitor Arnie this week and pull the trigger if he seems to be fit for the weekend.

    Is Mendy + Murphy in for Bennett + Maddison a wise move (2FT)? If so should I do now? As what are chances of Mendy rising (97.5 FPL stats at 23:40)? I won't be priced out of move if he rises but will only have 0.1 ITB if he does rise and I make the move.

    Any advice appreciated.
