As we approach Gameweek 11 of Fantasy Premier League we have got to work on updating our Watchlist.

It’s goalkeepers up first, with teams such as Brighton and West Ham began to get more attention for their budget options

Alisson (£5.6m) retains the top spot for another week even as Liverpool prepare for a trip to face Arsenal. After that, they still have home matches against Fulham and Everton as well as a trip to Burnley in Gameweek 15.

Ederson (£5.7m) has crept back above Kepa Arrizabalaga (£5.5m) but both goalkeepers are on the brink of reclaiming Favourable Fixture tags. Manchester City have some appealing home fixtures but they still face Manchester United and Chelsea in the next six Gameweeks. Maurizio Sarri’s men have excellent home matches before the defending champions come to Stamford Bridge in Gameweek 16, but they have to visit Spurs in Gameweek 13.

Mat Ryan (£4.5m) has risen to become the best of the rest after a third successive clean sheet recorded in Gameweek 10. The Brighton shot-stopper keeps his Favourable Fixtures tag on account of the fact that the Seagulls still sit top of the Season Ticker defence section for the next six Gameweeks.

Lukasz Fabianski (£4.5m) is up next with West Ham’s fixtures particularly appealing over the next six Gameweeks. Burnley and Huddersfield are the Hammers’ next two opponents and home matches against Cardiff and Crystal Palace are also on the horizon.

Kasper Schmeichel (£5.0m) comes in at sixth place although there is understandably some uncertainty over what future Gameweeks will hold for him. There had been suggestions that Leicester’s trip to Cardiff City this weekend would be postponed although it weas confirmed to be going ahead as planned on Tuesday.

Rui Patricio (£4.6m) has dropped several places following back-to-back clean sheet wipe-outs against favourable opponents. The next two matches look particularly tricky for Wolves with Spurs coming to Molineux in Gameweek 11 and a trip to Arsenal in Gameweek 12. However, it’s Huddersfield and Cardiff after that.

Martin Dubravka (£5.0m) remains at the lower end of the scale although he did register a first clean sheet since Gameweek 6 last time out. The Magpies could prove a source of defensive points as their run is, on paper, quite favourable.

Jordan Pickford (£4.9m) and Ben Foster (£4.5m) bring up the rear with their fixtures a little mixed. The Everton man could be used in a rotation as the Toffees have favourable opponents coming to Goodison Park between now and Gameweek 16 while their away trips are rather difficult. Foster has Unfavourable Fixtures attached to him as Watford must host Liverpool and Manchester City between now and Gameweek 15.

Pogba or Martial at the minute would be my picks - Richarlison has great fixtures but questionable form, and Fraser vice-versa

Anything obvious here? 2 FT's & 0.0 ITB... Don't really want to get rid of Trent just yet as I think he'll start v Fulham

    Ederson
    Alonso, Robbo, Mendy, TAA
    Haz, Salah, Rich, Fraser
    Kun(c), Wilson
    (Hamer, Ings, AWB, Billing)

If no injuries I think I'll do a champagne transfer of Billing > Hudson Odoi to release a massive 0.3 in SV

Who are your all time favourite FPL players? Preferably those who get points when you have them, and then blank entirely when you don't.

Looking back, I think Lukaku has been pretty good for me in that regard. Obviously Suarez too, but too many people had him.

I always had a soft spot for Defoe at Spurs. I captained him for the 9-1 and that has stuck with me as a highlight.

I missed Aguero's 4 goals against Leicester last year and that's tainted his memory for me. Alexis got me a huge haul as TC a few years back though so I'm including him in mine

    3. Maximus Bonimus Pointimus
      • 16 Years

Perma captaining CR7 in his last year got me my only top 1k finish to date - still love him for that

Bale was ridiculous to own, early on when he was a defender, then later when he was scoring hattricks for fun as a midfielder

Kane's early season when he was sub 6.0, Delle Alli same

Salah last year was just silly... same with Suarez in his last liverpool season

Of them all though, I have to say Marcos Alonso is pushing them close. I can't get over the points he is scoring the last 2.5 years for his price

Pascal Chimbonda at Wigan, Bellamy at Blackburn and Viduka at Boro. Between them helped me finish 37 OR with some great performances

Lampard and Drogba were also great to own. One season having Torres and Gerrard was pretty fun too.

Dzeko was the definition of hard to manage in an FPL POV.
you'd start him he'd get 80 min and blank, you'd bench him he'd get 15 min and score 12 points

Alexis Sanchez. Captained his hat-trick vs. West Ham, triple captained when he got 27 or 28 points in a DGW the same year.

I could also say Salah but everyone had him last year, especially by the time he scored 29 points vs. Watford.

Honorary mention to Jordan Ayew, who always chipped in with either a goal or an assist off my bench last year.

Watson for Everton. Had him when he scored a hattrick as a defender with a CS to boot.
Had Ruel Fox in my first year of Fantasy Football when Baddiel and Skinner made it popular. Don't think there was assists back then though. You had to wait 4 days for the newspaper to come out to find your score.

Ruud van Nistelrooy was a set and forget striker. 02/03 season :

His tally included three hat-tricks against Newcastle United,[18] Fulham,[19] and Charlton Athletic.[20] He also scored in each of the final eight games of the season as United won the title.

    Alonso Robertson Mendy Doherty Pereira
    Salah Maddison Hazard
    Mitrovic Aguero
    Button - Kenedy - Jimenez - Obiang (0.1itb)

Best enabler to bring in the funds for Mitro to Arnie (annoyingly 0.1 short).
    A. Pereira to Duffy
    B. Pereira to Digne
    C. Jimenez to Success
    D. Other (including keep Pereira/Jim)

The player coming in will rotate with other cheaper players (e.g. Digne with Kenedy).

    Patricio
    VVD Robertson Alonso
    Fraser Hazard Salah Richarlison
    Mitrovic Aguero Jimenez

    (Hamer, Doherty, AWB, Obiang)

Wanted to do VVD and Mitrovic too Mendy and Arnautovic but I’m 0.4 off

A'noon all. So Pat to Ryan for free gives me:

    Ryan (Hamer)
    Robbo - Alonso - Mendy
    Haz - Salah - Fraser - Maddison
    Kun (c) - Mitro - Arnie

    Subs - Bennet, WB, Stephens

    Thoughts on this team

    Ryan (Button)
    Mendy - Duffy - Doherty - (AWB - Bennett)
Haz - Salah - Mane - Mahrez (Hojbjerg)
    Auba - Arnie - Success

Mahrez is good player but not really nailed. Succes too. And your bench is very thin.

    3. Pinturicchio10
      7 years, 8 months ago

Terrifyingly powerful midfield but in my opinion it is taking away from the defence and arguably the forward line also. Fine for short term but may be a problem long term.

    Robbo (ars)
    Doherty (TOT)
    Fraser (MUN)
    Wilson (MUN)

Now that I've typed it out it seems pretty obvious but which one to bench?

So AZ is looking to captain Mendy this week. I'd be very tempted if I owned him.

Always weary on captaining a defender. I have Hazard and Salah as options, even Vardy v Cardiff and Mitrovic v Hudd could give a brace. One goal against and you could be looking at a blank.

Also, unsure on how certain Mendy is to start. Depends on formation (Sane danger) and rotation for CL and Manc Derby, could opt for Delph.

    New to the boards

What do we think of my squad?

    Ederson - Foster
Walker - Alonso - Robbo - Wan Biss - Doherty
    Maddison - Salah - Richarlison - Jorginho - Capoue
    Aguero - Ings - Arnie

Plan to bench forster, Wan bissaka, doherty, and Ings

    Transfer -Jorginho >> Barclay

Wouldn't sell Robertson myself but there could potentially be a massive upside to that transfer this weekend. Still, I would prefer to keep Robertson long-term and find another way to squeeze Alonso into your squad.

    My team atm :
    Fabianski - Foster
Mendy - Bennet - Doherty - Robertson - Wan Bisakka
    Hazard - Maddison - Fraser - Salah - Richarlison
    Deeney - Arnautovic - Aguero

    2 FT 0 ITB

    I'm planning Deeney + Doherty + Richarlison > Success + Alonso + Barkley fort a hit.
    Good move ?

      I wouldn't say.

I wouldn't be surprised if Doherty gets an attacking return, even against Spurs. Richarlison plays against Brighton who concede shots right, left and center.
