Christmas fixture congestion dominates the final Scoutcast of 2018 as the crew look ahead to four sets of matches over two tightly packed weeks of Premier League action.

Joe, David and Az are joined by Andy to look in detail at how best to navigate inevitable rotation over Gameweeks 18 to 21 and offer their top tips for yuletide Fantasy Football survival.

Community questions the crew tackle include whether Manchester United assets can be trusted for their kind upcoming set of games following the sacking of Jose Mourinho this week.

Danny Ings’ brace against Arsenal last time out is another issue considered, especially as his form adds further weight to the case for going light up top and investing funds in midfield.

Elsewhere, Eden Hazard’s goal, assist and maximum bonus returns against Brighton in Gameweek 17 kickstart a chat on the best premium options for the end of December and early January.

As well as looking back on Gameweek 17’s events, including the community’s roughest and smoothest tales, the crew also look in detail at the next four Gameweeks. This includes their views on the best differentials and teams with the greatest chance of clean sheets over the period.

The crew  find time to reveal their Christmas transfer and captaincy plans. For Az, Joe and David this includes hoping their key striker Harry Kane recovers from a bout of man-flu to take to the field in Gameweek 18.

What makes you think Aguero will start? Lacking match fitness and would be very harsh to drop Jesus after his brace.

More rested than Auba anyway. Kun is Pep favourite for pl matches.

I am a Laca owner but even when people were saying "Laca will start in the cup and Auba will start in the league" I was gonna keep him anyway. They're both gonna be rotated over the festive period but both can do damage off the bench, if anything they're both better off the bench.

No no no no no they were both always prone to rotation anyway

Özil is pretty much out of Emery's plans tho, dropped against Bournemouth because they were "too physical", dropped against Spurs for "tactical reasons". There isn't room for Özil, Laca and Auba

I remember the good old times a couple of seasons back.

Kane, Son, Eriksen and Alli used to start together and were absolute fantasy mines, all of them. And Mousa Dembele behind them ofcourse, doing the dirty work alongside Wanyama.

Watching Lamela and Moura run around like headless chickens is a painful sight apart from the FPL dillema they bring to our teams.

Besides all the talk on the scout cast about less importance in clean sheets , I still believe if you nail the right back 4 over this Xmas period clean sheet points can be one of the most important incomes of points, trippier Robertson and Alonso could get at least 6 pts each week whereas Fraser richarlison Pereyra martial may get 2-3 pts each week. I believe the clean sheets are more likely in this case, yes they have lower ceilings but consistency is key
