Fantasy Premier League managers have a tough decision for the Blank Gameweek 27 captaincy.

You can now vote in the latest poll below or in the sidebar and watch our latest Captain Video on YouTube.

With Manchester City, Chelsea, Everton and Brighton all out of action because of the League Cup, there are only eight matches to be played.

One of those is a big clash at Old Trafford featuring Manchester United vs Liverpool.

The two teams have played a big part in recent captaincy debates so Fantasy managers might be put off by the fact that they are facing each other this week.

We analysed how the likes of Mohamed Salah (£13.6m), Paul Pogba (£8.8m) and Marcus Rashford (£7.8m) look for Gameweek 27 in our latest Captain Video, which we streamed live from our YouTube channel over lunch on Monday.

What we found was that there may be more goals in this match than many first suspects.

However, the current overriding school of thought revolves around Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (£11.1m) and Arsenal’s home match against Southampton.

The Gabonese international has been a lot more reliable at home than he has on the road of late, as explained by Neale in our latest video (below).

Given the strength of the fixture, Alexandre Lacazette (£9.5m) also looks worth considering too.

Son Heung-min (£8.9m) has been an exceptionally reliable figure in recent weeks and faces a trip to Burnley.

Leicester’s options are expected to be popular in the coming weeks and a home match against Crystal Palace could provide an early opportunity to get in early on their run with the captaincy.

However, perhaps the most attractive option from the so-called smaller clubs is probably Felipe Anderson (£7.2m), who faces Fulham’s shaky defence at the London Stadium on Friday night.

I can easily field 11 this week if I get one of the Leicester boys in for Digne which is the plan.
Problem is I really want Pereira over Chilwell and would need to raise funds by moving out Richarlison (preferred) or Firmino.

    A) Digne, Rich -> Pereira, Jota
    B) Digne, Rich -> Pereira, Fraser
    C) Digne, Firmino -> Pereira, Jimenez
    D) Digne -> Chilwell (and roll FT)

    Fab
    Robbo Doherty WB Digne***
    Salah Son Pogba Puncheon
    Rashford Firmino

    Button / Kun Richarlison*** Kiko

The draw for the FA Cup games is taking place in GW31 in 6/7 hours time. When we know the draw, we'll know the possible blank games in GW33. Although, they may not be confirmed until GW31, depending on the FA Cup draw and results.

Perhaps not, but Leicester have a good run in until then, West Hams games are good apart from 1 vs City and just buy a Bournemouth player in gw30. Not that bad a prospect alongside Liverpool players ofc

These teams also have nice fixtures in gw30. By building for gw31 you also build for gw33. FH32 gives you the perfect team in a big DGW. It’s a win-win.

I have Son & Kun and don't see why I need to bin either before 31 at the earliest? Personally I don't want any other City or Spurs coverage as I feel the other Spurs options are meh for the price & City mids are a rotation nightmare. Chelsea I'm just not interested in before the doubles.

You don't have to decimate a good team to build for gw31.

eg, Leicester have good fixtures so you can bring in Chillwell and Pereira, then save 2 FT for GW31 itself.

After that FH dgw32, still have a team for 33, then WC34

    Even though I like
FH 32 plan, if some of the dgw matches are postponed to others GWs like GW 37, that will spoil the whole plan or effectivity of FH 32.
Building for DGW with FTs and FH 31 is safer definitely?
Given blanks are confirmed and DGWs are not.

    1. EMBOLOFAN

blanks are indeed confirmed so planning for 31/33 makes sense. if a few teams dont play in 32 its not the end of the world, just pick other players with fh

Well DGW 32 gets split between GW 32 and 37. Doesn't it make FH GW 32 less appealing?
        For me it surely does.

      Buy players who DON'T blank in GW31 & GW33.

      GW32: FH
      GW34: WC
      GW35: BB

Play TC in a single GW. This was the "consensus" before this weekend's games, and I believe most around here still plan to go with this plan.

I really want to do something a bit different - cos I’m 4th in my mini league and OR 178k - but this looks like the way to go. But hate missing out on DGW TC. So contemplating WC 30 ( lot of thought involved ), FH 31, BB 32, mild panic 33, TC 35. Added bonus of not picking “ weaker” teams’ players up to 31.

I'm toying with this idea also. It could leave your team rather weakened for dgw35 though.

Yeah I'm planning to FH in 31 🙂 At the end of the day, putting huge amount of effort into planning may give you an edge over 100 seasons or more, but all the unknown factors and variability of scores mean that choosing a chipstrategy is something of a lottery (especially if you choose F31 like me as we don't know when the doubles will be for sure haha). So just do what gives you the most freedom to choose the players you want for your team and hope for the best, I say 🙂

Which move(s) currently look the best?

    A) Digne âž¡ Kola/Duffy
N/B: happy to keep Digne otherwise for a couple good upcoming fixtures, and hopefully double in GW32. // Digne > Duffy allows for Auba > Aguero next wee.

    B) Robbo + Sane âž¡ Kola/Duffy + McNeil
N/B: allows me to sell Solanke for Aguero next week.

    Patrício
    Robertson, Alexander-Arnold*, Doherty, Wan-Bissaka
    Son (C), Pogba, Martial*
    Aubameyang (V), Rashford, Solanke

    Hamer | Sterling**, Sane**, Digne**

    2FTs. 0.2 ITB. FH31.

Difficult one. Feel like Digne and Sane are priorities to get out and wouldn't want to get rid of Robbo. Any chance you can take Digne and Sane out and still do Solanke -> Aguero next week? If not I would consider just doing a move which allows Auba -> Aguero

No chance, unfortunately. Thanks for your thoughtful reply. I would love to save a transfer again, but all this chip planning is in vain if I don't do enough to get XI players out in the meantime haha

If I do Digne > Duffy before he rises, I have the exact money for Sane + Auba > KDB + Aguero next week. Food for thought...

I would perhaps do A then Auba -> Aguero next week,
Sane should get minutes 28 to 30 and city have great fixtures

    Fabianski
    VanDijk Kolasinac Doherty
    Anderson Salah Son Pogba
    Jiminez Auba Rashford

    Hamer Pereyra Holebas Danilo

Unless your intending to fh31 you can't really wreck your team just to field 11 gw31 players. I believe most managers intend to bring 7/8 players to gw31.

      Son might have to go.

I am gonna wait and see how Auba looks on Thursday. Arsenal have been poor of late and I'm not sure Saints are as bad defensively as most of the teams he bullies.

Hey all. w/ 1FT and 0.0 ITB, what looks the best course of action for this week atm? Thanks!!

    A) Sane --> Felipe Anderson (may get Aguero in for Auba next week so am not City-less)
    B) Alonso --> Pereira
    C) Save FT

    Fabianski (Boruc)
    Robertson Doherty AWB (Bednarek Alonso)
    Salah Son Pogba Camarasa (Sane)
    Auba(c) Jimenez Rashford

As for chips, will have a max of 4/5 players currently in GW31, so unsure what I will do as of yet with regard to FH in 31/32... have all chips intact.

    My actual team (for GW27):

    Fabianski
    pereira - doherty - robertson
pogba - salah - son anderson
    auba - rashford -jimenez

    etherdige - wba - vvd - billing

i'm thinking if i can play WC on GW28 (kun and sterling of city, instead reds defender) or how to improve my team(vvd auba -> tta e kun in GW28).or other moves....

instead for GW27 do i need to replace doherty?
