Blank Gameweek 18 is just around the corner, and I wanted to use this opportunity to present some picks I feel should be part of your squad if you are opting to use the Free Hit.
At the time of writing, there was a lot of uncertainty looming around Spurs so, for the purpose of this piece I steered clear of the two clubs.
After all, the best way to maximise a Free Hit squad is to base as much as you can on things you are certain about.

Looks like Southampton & Leeds won't get a Double Gameweek in GW19 if Southampton/Shrewsbury could face Arsenal/Leicester/Man Utd/Spurs (and possibly Man City) in the 4th or 5th Round of the FA Cup.
The draws for those rounds are less than an hour away.

Yep, same boat. Once the deadline has gone there's nothing you can do about it. If anything gets cancelled between now and then you can adjust your team easily.

Davies will give you another 0.2 to make Kilman into someone like Ampadu or Yedlin, who should at least play and give you cover. That's the most exciting of the 3 options.

I would FH - I had basically the same team and was going to play8 or 9 but once the Tot v Ful game was confirmed I wanted to attack it. Man City, TOT, United, Arsenal all with really nice fixtures.
Already have Son, Kane, KDB, Holding from those fixtures. Seems a bit silly to FH personally. Think it will be more impactful to save it

You don't have Kane tho - I FH in Stones, DDG, Tierny, Kane, Wilson, Laca, Dier - I think those moves given the fixtures are worth it. All based on fixture *could produce.
Okay Kane is one that will be missed. But I’ve no doubt I could reel off a lot more big hitters during another blank.
