Who are the best Burnley players to own for FPL Double Gameweek 24?

Fantasy Premier League managers are considering Burnley players for Double Gameweek 24.

The Clarets face two favourable fixtures against Crystal Palace (away) and Fulham (home) but are they worthy of a mass investment?

How many Burnley assets are too many and which ones should we own? That’s what we’re here to help you with.

After running a data dive on the recent 1-1 draw with Brighton, we have analysed the full capabilities of Sean Dyche’s men at both ends of the pitch in Double Gameweek 24.

THE FORM

Having started 2020/21 in uncharacteristically lethargic spirits, Burnley have embarked on a solid, if unspectacular run, to steer themselves away from the danger zone of late.

They collected 17 of their 23 points over the last 12 matches which included morale-boosting wins at Arsenal (Gameweek 12), home victories over Wolves (Gameweek 14), Sheffield United (Gameweek 16) and Aston Villa (Gameweek 20).

And, of course, their hard work at Anfield in Double Gameweek 19 helped Dyche’s men become the first visiting team to win a Premier League match there since April 2017.

Still, even though the points are flowing more freely these days, one common theme has underpinned the Clarets’ matches this season: lack of goals.

Despite sitting one place above the bottom three, only eight Premier League clubs have conceded fewer times than Burnley this season.

Intriguingly, their total of 29 goals shipped is level with Liverpool while second-placed Manchester United (30) and tenth-placed Leeds (38) have both been breached more times than Dyche’s men this season.

The reason for Burnley’s poor performance in the league table despite these hardly relegation-form defensive numbers is, of course, their troubles in front of goal.

After 23 Gameweeks, no team has scored fewer goals than the Clarets (14). Sheffield United have 15 strikes from one extra match, meaning both clubs sit bottom of the league for 0.6 goals per game.

The formbook has not seen much improvement in this area, despite Burnley’s increased number of points.

Over the last 12 matches, their total of nine goals is the second-lowest in the division behind only Fulham (six).

But continuing with their theme, only Manchester City (three), Arsenal (nine) and Leicester (10) have a better defensive record during that time.

This forum has truly sunk to the depths like. After scrolling through tonight I thought Pope DCL Digne Justin must have been involved in season ending injuries.

The speculation and scare mongering is genuinely pathetic and people need to stop posting unsubstantiated garbage. As it stands right now it looks like Justin is the only one who will definitely be ruled out.

Apparently Dias and Antonio are also injured for the rest of the season!

Agree. The 'rumours' have been rife of late. Things flare up so quickly. It's so annoying.

The forum is getting so boring. It’s like a live stream anxiety attack with everyone just fuelling the fire.

Sure I saw people saying gameweek was already over before it has even began!

        Wtf

I’d be benching him til 26 if there was a chance he would be fit by then. Going off of Rodgers comments, that’s likely.

Why are players battling for the FA cup like it’s the champions league... players going down and making sacrifices like they’re in world war 2 for nothing

Duncan Ferguson: “Looks like he might have tweaked his hamstring, we're not quite sure. Could be a wee bit of trouble for him"

    DCL is done and dusted.
