    Hmm I have an option to do Foden to Son or rolling the transfer, what would you do?

    a)Foden->Son
    b)roll

      Might work as a one-week-punt but long-term I'd possibly keep Foden and roll it

    I need Maddison, right?

    1) Eze, Dias and Estu -> Maddison, Udogie and Cash (-4)
    2) Rashford/Bruno/Saka (who?) -> Maddison
    3) Eze, Dias and Jackson -> Maddison, Udogie/Cash and Alvarez (-4)

    (2FT, 0.3 itb)

    Turner (Johnstone)
    Chilwell/Dias/Estu (Kabore, Beyer)
    Son/Rashford/Bruno/Saka/Eze
    Haaland/Jackson (Osula)

      Not if you already have Son, no. Don't forget Spurs play Arsenal and Liverpool after Sheffield Utd. If you need to make a transfer then I'd look at swapping Johnstone for someone like Flekken or Areola.

      If you do get Areola though it may be a good idea to bench him as West Ham have Man City in gameweek 5.

    Anyone considering Madd (c) over Haaland?
    I’m thinking Haaland is like 9 points top vs WH so there could be an upside in going Maddison. Already chickened out once this season not (c) Jota so wouldn’t like to miss a train again…

    Anyone think Son is being overhyped? He's had one good game, and even then, way overperformed his xG. If he continues to play up top I imagine he'll have a good season, but seems very soon for people to be rushing to get him.

    1. Nate(U)dog(ie)
      • 5 Years
      2 years, 2 months ago

      Thing is overperforming xG is what the best players do, and what Son has historically done. I do think he's being overhyped, but when you think back to how good a finisher he has generally been (if we ignore last season) he's a top option

    2. Nuka Girl
      • 9 Years

      Try it. See if it fits.
      If doesn't fit, can always return.

    3. F4L
      • 10 Years
      2 years, 2 months ago

      only because of the strapping on knee (could mean reduced minutes for a while), otherwise no not at all. Any CF in Postegolou's system will be getting a ridiculous amount of goal scoring opportunities (if they're decent); in another life Kane stays and gets the golden boot with 35 goals or something

      plus Son on form and fit has always outdone his xG and anyone who scores a hat trick will be overperforming their xG by a considerable margin in a single game

      1. mwa1t
        • 4 Years
        2 years, 2 months ago

        I guess I would question whether he's 'on form' after 1 good performance. Obviously he played a different role, so it's contextual.

      He's a good bet for gw5 Sheff Utd at home but next 2 games are
      Arsenal away & Liverpool home .
      As is always the case when a player hauls in one game but blanks in 3
      Everyone thinks that big returns will be the new norm but in reality the previous 3 games are nearer the truth .
      With Son 2 things have to be taken into account .
      His positional change & the quality of the opposition.

      It looks like you're trying to find a way to get Son this week .
      Why not get Morris at Luton in early before his double gw .
      He has good fixtures leading up to that .

    On a wildcard

    A)

    Areola Turner
    Estupinan Udogie Cash Gusto Bell
    Salah Son Saka Maddison Mbeumo
    Haaland Alvarez Archer

    B)

    Areola LENO
    Estupinan Udogie Cash Gusto HENRY
    RASHFORD Son Saka Maddison Mbeumo
    Haaland Alvarez AWONIYI

    So that's how you spread the Salah cash everyone. Really worth it?

    Team B would be a nightmare with points on the bench all the time. Could downgrade Awoniyi to Archer and improve defence but there are no options really

      for watkins its how many minutes will he lose to Europe, no pens, why hasnt he scored this season yet (great GK saves + unlucky, or some Villa fans think he's way out of form). fixtures great though, good attacking side

      if alvarez got 200 mins every 3 games (or along those lines) he should be in everyone's team, even taking set-pieces. Now kovacic and grealish are missing training (maybe get a indication in press conference of length of time), imo just go for him and enjoy the ride (although long trip back from International duty for this GW)

              No. My lasting memory of him was his gloating that Chelsea stopped Spurs winning the league when Leicester won it. A quality footballer when he wanted to be but not a fella who hated losing enough to depend on in a tight game, club or country. Drogba mightn't be on may lists of greats but he always seemed to turn up for the biggest games.

      How many players have they had that were "great"? It's quite a big compliment to pay to a player. Perhaps the only players I'd regard as "great" that were signed by ManUtd in the last 10 years are Cavani (long past his prime) and Di Maria, who was utilised in the wrong position, but it didn't ruin him. He's proven he was still a top player with everything he did since then

    Which would you do?
    2FT
    a) Colwill -> Udogie (have Chilwell, save FT)
    b) Mitoma, Watkins -> Son, Morris (play Morris)

    Any help on this team please?

    Nothing in the bank and one free transfer, potentially take a -4 if the right moves!

    Onana
    Chilwell | Udogie | Gusto
    Rashford | Maddison | Salah | Saka
    Haaland | Pedro | Jackson

    | Areola | Anderson | Baldock | Bell

    Content creators are coming around to Son 😀

    UNPOPULAR OPINION

    Sheffield Utd in GW5 is actually Son’s most DIFFICULT fixture in his next three.

    I’m not even 100% convinced he’ll play as a central striker against a back 3 + low block.

    I’ve found a way of getting Son in to my team that I’m comfortable with, but it involves getting a forward worth £7.2m or less…

    Foden -> Son

    Watkins -> ??? (-4)

    Who would you go for? Álvarez? Awoniyi? Ferguson if fit?

    Martinelli -> Sterling.
    Sterling -> Son.

    Plan would be to hold Son until another midfielder scores 19+ then get rid of him.
