    2 FT, 0.4 ITB

    A) Porro/Kabore > Tsimi/Guehi
    B) Make another move to avoid burning a transfer?

    Areola
    Porro Cash Gabriel
    Salah Son Bowen Diaby
    Haaland Watkins Alvarez

    Turner Taylor Kabore Anderson

      Areola to Johnstone? (if affordable)

Although A is nice to get 4 decent playing defenders obviously. Would be very reluctant to sell Porro though

Who was also stupid enough to sell Haaland?

But until last week, he had about the same number of points as Watkins and Alvarez.

Without Haaland you can also afford almost all the other good heavyweights like Trippier, Salah, Saka or Son.

At this time, the decision was still somewhat understandable.

    Thank you!

I went without him on wildcard in GW8. This week was obviously a disaster (but not just because of no Haaland tbh as I captained Watkins over Salah) but I’m still above where I was rank wise at point I sold him (1.4m after GW7, up to 200k last week back down to 600k this week) so it’s just about paid off as a decision over a few weeks so far - albeit it could go very wrong again this week

Thank you for your reply. This was nice. Actually I am not bad. The last two seasons I was in the top 6,000 and top 14,000 respectively.

But this season is a nightmare and I am only in the top 2,700,000. It seems to be getting more and more difficult to achieve a good result.

What to do with this mess?

    Sanchez, Turner
    Andersen, Tsimikas, Cash, Kabore, Botman
    Salah, Saka, Son, Bowen, Mbeumo
    Alvarez, Watkins, Wissa

1 free transfer and 2.9 in the bank.

What to do? Buy Haaland back for a - 4? And who sell from the midfielders for it?

    Thank you!

      do you want Haaland back?

your XI this week looks decent, could just bank the FT. With Chelsea's fixtures you could move Sanchez for Johnstone.

be wary of taking too many hits, getting Haaland back (w/o selling Salah) is at least a -8.

        Thank you! This was kind.

I am just afraid that Haaland will punish me again and score a lot of points again against Bournemouth. In this case I can forget about the season because most players will captain him.

But Fantasy Premier League is somehow crazy. You always bring in the players (Son, Watkins, Saka) who are expected to score a huge amount of points in the next game because you are afraid that you will lose ground. But then these players usually only score 1 or 2 points.

I agree with your last comment; a lot of the time a player that braces one week will blank the next. However, that doesn’t seem to apply to Haaland. So as a fellow non-owner, I will be shitting my pants this weekend.

I probably would just hold and have 2ft next week with more time to plan and to do a bigger reshuffle if you want to with 3 changes for a -4. Team looks more than decent enough and yes Haaland could punish you but I’m not sure a -8 to get him is worth it and Alvarez or Watkins could easily match him this week

I'm surprised Vinicius Jr signed a new contract with Real when he knows Mbappe will be arriving soon. It's going to be another Figo-Beckham situation when they have two world class players for a single position.

Trippier has not looked his normal sharp self in the last 2 games I've seen. Admittedly I also needed his £ for another move (Salah) but I've replaced him with Guehi. Couldn't reach to Andersen but think Guehi is a good replacement still.

You're probably right, as so many manager changes have failed and another so soon would just smack of utter incompetence above. However, it seems to me that ETH 'the disciplinarian' is charmless and not motivating at all. He talks like a bot and never smiles. And he thinks Bruno is a leader when he's actually just a loud spoilt brat.

As a MU supporter, i don't see the point in sacking him.
Wouldn't matter who they replaced him with, half of the players just aren't that good. I would imagine that even if Pep, or Klopp managed them the results would change much.
A new manager is going to have the same players and almost no budget to work with - maybe he'll get a bounce, but they'll be in the same position in 6 - 12 mths time.
As long as the Glazers are around, Utd will be a team always battling for a top 4 spot at best, and more often than not, not making it.

They're almost broke, would need to sell to raise any meaningful funds.
I know they have record revenue etc etc, but so much is funnelled out of the club by the owners, not to mention the interest payments on the close to Billion pound debt.
Maybe next summer there would be ANOTHER 200mil for a new manager to spend, but that gets him 3-4 players (that he may or may not want? DOF/Sir Jim players??), then he's facing the same problem as ETH, having to use a squad of average players + plus a few new faces, to play his "system".
Would rather stick with ETH (even though it seems he is struggling atm, and has lost the confidence of a few of the senior players), and see him give youth a go, play Mainoo, play Diallo, play Garnacho, whats he got to lose? at least the young guys will be hungry - can't play worse than Rashford, McTom, Antony etc

Think I use it next week. Bringing in:

      Mitoma - SHU (H)
      Saka and/or Jesus - BUR (H)
      Wilson - BOU (A)
Bruno (one week?) - LUT (H)
      Bowen - NFO (H)

      We'll see! Good potential.

Hit it on Sunday. Thought it wiser to get Haaland back because of his uptick. Having 5 nailed on uninjured defenders and selling Odegaard was another consideration. 🙂

My defence was Udogie Gabriel Botman Kabore & Cash so don't blame you with the defenders!!

You simply can't sell Alvarez when he plays Bou home.

For one week only, Diaby has to go after Bou.

Diaby has scored 3 goals playing second striker. A quality footballer but I'm not seeing what the FPL fuss is about just yet.

A France international player, experienced Champions League player, scored 3 goals and 3 assists playing second striker for a team that has scored 26 goals is 'great'. what's great about it?

Good point 🙂 It's Real Bellingham now.

And he's quality. Hopefully Emery can boost his goalscoring returns like he has done with Watkins.

Maddison, Trippier, Alvarez > Salah, Lascelles, Archer for a -4? (Archer would never see the pitch and I'd still have good bench)

Otherwise just Alvarez > Darwin and roll a FT.

Liverpool vs Luton has me worried with no Liverpool attackers, especially Salah. Don't love ditching Alvarez pre-Bournemouth but Salah gets more difficult to engineer a move for every week, thinking of trying to cover his returns with Darwin as I feel Salah has been fortunate with his returns the last couple weeks..

Salah best pick in the game with the best fixtures too. Do what it takes to get him.

Love the Salah + Lascelles picks, but is there a way to get Salah in without losing Alvarez? Most similarly priced mids are worse than Alvarez, could one of them go instead and you stick to the 343?
