As someone who held Saka, Watkins and Solanke and had only two dgw players, I like this article. Really hope for more of the same from City and Pool players to blank

If you think it's luck that each of those three players did well this week, you're looking at all the wrong data.

Newcastle & Fulham have been in the bottom 3 for chances conceded centrally for the last 4 or so weeks (I say 4, becuase this also excludes LIV vs NEW!)

Not that it's some sort of mystery, but they've been poor in these areas all season.

        https://twitter.com/Fantasypaedia/status/1758167653112295715

Equally, both Watkins (1) and Solanke (2) returned in the reverse fixture for similar reasons.

Don't really have to go into detail about Burnley.

I'll concede luck on the Liverpool injuries and slightly for Haaland's misses, but I'm assuming OP had Haaland anyway.

I held those three players too but Sakas penalty was shocking as usual, any other keeper would have saved it so there's an incredible amount of luck, like you say with the player falling on Jotas leg after he missed a good chance, not to mention the Haaland misses while everyone triple captained him, you can look at all the data you want but if your lucks out it's pointless.

Regret selling Gordon now that he's the main attacker for a decent team, but also pretty keen on all of Saka, Salah, Richarlison, Palmer, Foden.

I guess maybe Foden back to Gordon in the near future to raise funds? Seems pretty sideways.

Gordon was always marked down as a sell for me in 24 for a doubler. Just unlucky that Wilson/Isak got injured and he scored a pen.

I'll be ignoring Newcastle until after 30

I know I shouldn't place too much on the importance of FPL, but yesterday's results have made me feel so depressed.

Triple city attack and TC on Haaland, no Gordon Watkins or Solanke.

I know city have another game but in a league where most people surprisingly didn't TC Haaland, I feel majorly deflated

Triple City, triple Liv here. This is still game of luck and there are sometimes luck based results. This doesn't mean season over, since the same happened to most of good managers. Perhaps time to enjoy football and stop to think that one season is time long enough to balance luck. Look at Lateriser, time to play H2H against him for example.

Despite appearing to have a strong team going into this gameweek, I have dropped five places in my ML, also had 3 City and 3 Liverpool. The hardest thing for me at least, is avoiding the knee-jerk reactions and taking hits. Making transfers makes me feel like I am in some way regaining control of the situation, but often the best course of action is just to sit tight.

I agree that it can probably take over your life, a guy I work with, he’s well into his 60s had to come off it last season as it was having a detrimental effect on his family life. He’s not doing it this season and he says he’s never felt better. When you’re invested in money leagues also, it compounds it even more. Just take a step back an re evaluate, as others have said, you just need to realise it’s only a game. I know some replies can look brutal as they don’t know people’s circumstances, ie they could live on they’re on and this could be the only interaction they have but they’re just trying to help so good luck and hope this helps. Ps, we did get lucky as a lot of managers T/C Jota ( injured) and Nunez (came off at half time so it could have been a lot worse 😀

    A. Play Dubravka away to Arsenal or

Yesterday was probably worst day I've experienced playing this game.

Two gws ago I went with KDB, Jota, Toney and Darwin and got rid of Saka, Bowen, Solanke and Watkins.

Don't even want to count how many points I have lost.

Seems the lows far outweigh the highs in this game.

Is it reasonable I quit playing this game if it makes me feel so bad?

I used to be way too invested in this game a few years ago. I took a season off, then when I returned I didn’t invest as much time. I pretty much log in deadline day and make changes, then watch games. I find that it’s not as annoying when I don’t invest hours into it only to have players disappoint.
Of course my rankings haven’t been as good, but I don’t stress it

Hopefully stupid onion stays on the bench, you get Olly's points and I'll get Robinson's

          pretty wild and brave

TBF Watkins form has been poor, but then Pervis even worse

Help for your sake my my sake Estu gets a goal off the bench!

Watkins has served me well all season I just had a gut feeling Villa will be held by Fulham but yeah was wrong! I guess with Estus inevitable one pointer it’s only a 12 point swing not end of the world

8, 1, 7, 18, 2 for Watkins in 5 weeks leading to GW25, some high xG stats even in blanks, I think "poor form" is most overused word here.

Never bench attackers for defenders IMO, just a lack of consistent CS this season, apart from maybe Arsenal recently

Man, you just know Chelsea are submitting a bid for Estupinan this summer.

What's silly is he would be bought having the same function in the team as Cucurella would 😆

I forgot Cucurella plays for us

          A dreadful player

        Hola amigos.

Estu has to go down as one of the worst hype trains this season, and we've had quite a few.

Did Porro to Bradley so I could bench Estupinan. Could still pay off.

Not if Estu scores a hattie off the bench 😉

Probably not mate. He's been ousted even without 2 other FBs available. More likely Veltman will return

Estupinan benchings becoming a problem as relying on him starting in 26

Ditto. Need him, taylor, and whatever cheap forward i replace trent with to start. Seems so unlikely lol.

Was resigned to one point anyway. Don't really feel like taking a hit to replace since I'll just WC him out in 27
