Put together a squad you like without any of the players on your current squad.

    Sanchez-Turner
    TAA-White-Porro-Munoz-Mykolenko
    Palmer-Foden-Saka-BrunoF-MGW
    Watkins-Havertz-Muniz

Just shows this could be the year of no template
Wouldn't be a big surprise if a fit, tan and rested KDB/Haaland Combo clicks like 2 years ago.
This year will be hard not to chase points

    RMT:

    Henderson Fabianski
    TAA Gvardiol Saliba Maatsen Davis
    Foden Bruno Gordon Nkunku Johnson
    Havertz Watkins Gakpo

    Haaland draft

    Sanchez / Turner

    Konsa Burn Myko Anderson Johnson

Foden Saka (Nkunku , MGW) Luongo

    6Watkins Haaland Isak

Midfield can change with these price points 5.5/6.5 , 7.5/6.5 which allows for Gordon / Maddison etc.

When FPL review updates and recommends Haaland, Foden & Saka watch all these big accounts rip up their non Haaland drafts.

Nkunku had great preseason last year and was template pick before his severe injury. He is much more clinical goalscorer than Jackson. However, I am not sure how they are going to lineup and why Palmer didn't play earlier.

The old Ward-Iverson combo might rear its ugly head again yet. I don't think you can get away with less than 9m for the pair, and then it's a toss up between rotating 4.5s or the Sean Dyche double up. I'm tempted by the latter at the mo, until we get more info.

Yea picking between the two is doing my head in. I'm going with Salah atm. because it gives me a lot more balance than a team with Haaland.

I'm on both at the moment, but it's a more than fair dilemma. Haaland is rested and knows his job under Pep; Salah is also rested and, while under new management, has fixtures that are hard to overlook.

Yeah I'd have to compromise a lot to get them both. I guess it's possible with all the defenders available at 4.5m, but I like my big three at the back.

I think it’s the fact he’ll score similarly to Haaland (only 6 less last season despite AFCON) but you get £2.5m in your pocket.

Liverpool are a wait-and-see obviously but I think Salah is a pretty safe bet.

Not at all, was just observing that if you add Dan Burn to my list above , most teams have 8 of those players. I was really hopeful that are teams would still be more different.

Thought about owning both Salah & Haaland but if I own Haaland I should be captaining him 80% of the time at that price point. Want to see how Liverpool do under Slot first.

    My team:

    Sanchez | Turner
    Mykolenko | Martinez | Burn | Konsa | Andersen
    Eze | Gordon | Palmer | Foden | Nkunku
    Haaland (v) | Isak (C) | 4.5

If Nkunku does not have a good pre-season, I will change him to Hudson-Odoi or J. Pedro and upgrade Martinez to Porro.

With the fixtures Liverpool have to start, a big gamble to 'wait and see' how they get on?

Even if they regress a bit, they'll be winning plenty of those games IMO

Fair point! I just think Palmer and Chelsea are capable of winning those games too. Foden has a nice run, sadly cannot have everyone.

        Made this draft too.

        Sanchez | Turner
        Alexander-Arnold | Pedro Porro | Gvardiol | Faes | Harwood-Bellis
        Eze | Gordon | Palmer | Nkunku | 4.5
        João Pedro | Isak (C) | Haaland (v)

Haaland price point is crazy, but advantage is even a haul in GW1 isn't season ending.

So, I've gone for Salah. What do you guys think?

    Martinez (Turner)
    White-Gvardiol-Burn-Andersen (Konsa)
    Salah-Ödegaard-Palmer-Andreas (Winks)
    Watkins-Isak (Muniz)

      I don't think White is worth 6.5m

I also don't Martinez is worth having when Konsa gets you in to Villa at 4.5m like you have. Pickford or a 4.5 better IMO

I'd want a 5th mid that was better than Winks with the money saved. Having to play 2x 4.5m every week doesn't look the best strategy?

Cheers, very good point re: Emi / Konsa.

4.5 GK all rely on save points IMO - not a bad strategy, but I'm not a fan. Nevertheless, imma have another look. Wish Sanchez was more certain.

        Cheers mate.

So is everyone going with 4.5 defenders only or 1 premium defender and rest 4.5?

I think the premiums (6M, tho I like White) are worth it. 2 premium for me.

    Hang On A Second!!!!!

Not only have FPL Towers decided not to categorise Son as a Forward,

THEY RE-CATEGORISED WERNER AS A MIDFIELDER!!!

WHAT THE ACTUAL DUCK IS GOING ON WITH FPL TOWERS AND SPURS??????

Wingers tend to be classed as MIDs, it’s not that deep

Werner started 11/13 games on the wing last season.

            And where did Son start?

Starting positions seem to have very little to do with it and more like their historical position.

Werner is out wide is more of a fwd than a midfielder.

There is no consistency with their decision with those two Spurs players!

Son was up top because Richarlison was injured a lot. He’s always been a winger, not an out-and-out 9. Similar to Rashford.

Wingers get classed as midfielders, that’s just how it is.

                Im not having it!

Ange could decide Son is up top regardless as he is a better fwd than Richarlison.

They either base it on where they mainly played the previous season otherwise they are just guessing.

You could argue Werner played out wide because of lack of options Ange had but with a full squad he is a fwd.

Lots of players start up top and are classified as wingers instead of forwards... and vice versa. Bowen, Hee-Chan, Mbeumo etc. all play upfront as much as they play on the wing.

Not sure what this has to do with Spurs players...or anything tbh. They're classified where they play most of the time.

Ange could decide to stick Vicario up top but he’s still best classed as a GK
