I’ve gone with Haaland up top and a very nicely rotationalable Wissa & Armstrong as a second striker

    Gives me a run of

    CRY
    NFO
    SOU
    MUN
    IPS
    BOU
    WOL
    LEI
    IPS
    FUL
    BOU
    EVE
    LEI

    With 10 being home fix

    What do you rec?

I’ll be honest I think rotation is an overrated concept in FPL, never works as well as you’d like it to. I’d prefer just playing Muniz for Fulham’s good fixtures and save a bit on the third striker.

  3. Rico123

First draft that I’m quite liking for now. Bench and gks quite weak but I think I like it for the attacking upside.

    Flekken (Turner)
    Saliba Gvardiol Burn (Faes Harwood-Bellis)
    Salah Palmer Gordon Eze (Winks)
    Watkins Isak Solanke

    1. InsertPunHere

Bench and goalkeepers are pretty standard in terms of money spent, so no need to worry there. If I were choosing only one 4.5 def I’d go for one a bit more certain to start than Burn. Bournemouth’s fixtures aren’t great so I’d consider downgrading Solanke to Muniz who imo has bigger potential anyway and then maybe moving Winks to a 5.5 if you do end up wanting a stronger bench.

Thank you for the thoughts. Yes was debating between Burn and Andersen for the 4.5 slot - I might go with the latter, Konsa also an option.

I do like Solanke as a set and forget option - hadn’t considered Muniz but you’re right he could prove to be a bargain at £6m

Not bad idea. However the issue for me is that injury elsewhere in the team causes problems. Two game period is too short for me. I just remembered Fabio Borges rule of 4 good game weeks.

I haven't liked going too cheap at the back. It doesn't help much in building TV, at least mine was 109.5 when last season ended.

Think I’ve settled on this until any major changes come up…

    Flekken | Sanchez
Trent | Castagne | Konsa | Van de Ven | Barco
    Salah | Palmer | Foden | Gordon | Hudson-Odoi
    Isak | Havertz | Stewart

4.5 defenders liable to change, and it’s possible I end up dropping Trent to a 6.0 or even lower to get Muniz as a third striker. Think I’m likely to stick with Salah over Haaland though.

Gut instinct is to say don’t double up on Forest but could come good very quickly. Other 5.5s to monitor might be Andreas, Barkley if he looks like starting, Smith-Rowe if he gets a transfer, and Rogers at 5.0 who seems to be getting a bit of a bandwagon atm (Villa winger).

Foderingham represents the second arrival of Lopetegui’s reign as West Ham boss, and technical director Tim Steidten is thrilled to be able to introduce such a reliable operator with Premier League pedigree to the squad so early on in the summer.

“We’re really pleased to add a goalkeeper of Wes’ experience to our first team goalkeeping unit”, Steidten said.

“He’s had an esteemed career to date, including playing at the very highest level in the Premier League last year for Sheffield United – and I’m sure that under the guidance of Xavi Valero, both Alphonse and Łukasz will benefit greatly from having another established keeper working alongside them on a daily basis.”

Villa, City and Spurs are not good fixtures for a CB with no goal threat. Not hard to see attacking sides like Wolves and Brighton nicking goals at the Emirates.

Not quite sure I’d call Wolves an attacking side, Arteta has already managed a tactical 0-0 with City, Spurs are Spurs (I say as a fan), Brighton still have a streak of finishing impotence in them. Two ways to see everything, although I do think Aston Villa score against them.

Arteta parked the bus against City because of the title race, is he going to do that at the start of the season? Always goals in the NLD too.

GW 2 BB question. Which of these would be the 'GENUINE' bench?

Vicario (EVE) or Chelsea Keeper (wol)
    Andreas (LEI) or CHO (sot)
    Robinson (LEI) or Burn (bou)
    + Aina (sot)

Currently on column V/A/R + Aina purely for the initial squad to BB GW2, which to me feels like the genuine bench? This bench then becomes a cash release when required for later gameweeks. I'm happy to BB against last seasons leaky Soton defence, with my two Forest guys!

Do you mean you’re bench boosting in GW2 or are you asking which of your GW1 BB players you should bench in GW2?

I know some guys do bench wonkery for higher bench boost points. I'm just trying to figure out who should be on the bench for the 'genuine' bench tally etc?

Ah ok. I think of those I’d play Vicario, Hudson-Odoi, and Burn if there weren’t a bench boost involved, as long as Burn starts GW1. Some people suggesting he’s a rotation risk but I’m not well-informed enough to say either way for sure.

That's probably the correct viewpoint basically putting the 4.5 GK on the bench, over the 5.0 (with the other players priced the same) Thanks

More secure 6.5s, makes GW 1 a little tricky to navigate, Chelsea too unpredictable for an attacking double-up. Fwiw I think they’re both good, but I’m only looking at Nkunku as Palmer cover in potential Salah-Haaland drafts.

Think I'm opting for Pickford/Virginia or Flekken/Valdimarsson. Don't think a starting 4.0 is to be had this season, so only way to do it is to double up. Can't see myself needing too many other Brentford/Everton slots.

      1. Ze_Austin
        • 7 Years
        1 year, 8 months ago

I've got Pickford Virginia here too

I think 5.0 is kind for a Dyche GK who started the season slowly, didn't save a pen or fluke an attacking return, scored an own goal, got five YCs, yet still beat everyone bar Raya for points per match

        1. Merlin the Wraith
          • 9 Years

Yeah, agree. Was really surprised Pickford came in at 5.0. Think Everton defence got well & truly got Dyched towards the end of last season. Starting to think the Arsenal def might be a selection headache this season if transfers are to be believed.
