Porro instead of Trent before swapping for GW4?
Got 1.5m ITB, and I don't think Trent starts GW1.

I initially had White instead of Porro, but Porro’s first two fixtures are appealing

    Sels
    Martinez Burn Hall
    Amad Elliott Saka Son
    Mateta Havertz Isak (c)

    Jørgensen Nkunku Quansah Barco

    8m in the bank.

Well done that maybe the most unique snowflake I've seen on here.

Elliott and Mateta are nice differentials and I get the Saka/Son/Isak/Havertz/Nkunku picks. Care to explain the rest though?

      1. _Greg
        • 15 Years

I started last season with 5m in the bank. I feel like I've identified a lot of bargains who could well rise in price and I can get any player I want gameweek 2 for any position.

Quansah is perhaps the riskiest pick here, although I am confident he will be first choice this season.

Elliott and Amad I expect to start the season.

I saw a video with VVD and Ben Foster on Prime Video a couple of weeks ago. There was a lot of chatter about VVD teaching Quansah all his tricks. His profile suits Slot too, he wants ball playing CB's.

4.5 GK (not decided yet), 4.0
    Gvardiol, Saliba, Mykolenko, Robinson, Barco
    Salah, Gordon, Nkunku, Hudson-Odoi, Rogers
    Haaland, Isak, Muniz

    Plan:
GW3: Haaland and CHO/Nkunku ----> Watkins & Palmer with 2FT (really want Haaland vs IPS)
GW4: Muniz or CHO/Nkunku (depends who left) to Brighton player J.Pedro or Mitoma/Minteh (who is most nailed for GW4+GW5)
GW6: Salah ---> Saka for ARS vs LEI&SOU
    GW7-8 maybe WC

    The second option is:
4.5GK, Saliba, Nkunku -------> Dibu Martinez, Munoz and Eze
but monitoring Szoboslai, Mbeumo, Rashford, Grealish, Garnacho, Johnson..

The only dilemmas are Munoz (5.0) or Saliba/Gabriel (6.0) and midfielders at range 6.5 - 7.5.

Awoniyi coming back today and playing well off the bench makes me nervous about Wood. He also didn’t start in the last game as well with the other starters. I also punted on Fernandes in my previous draft, but United have a ton of injuries now and I think he could be in a tough system to start.

So with that, this is what I’m thinking of starting the season with. Thoughts?

    Pope (4.0)
    TAA Gvardiol Porro (Barco, Harwood-Bellis)
    Son Jota Eze Nkunku Hudson-Odoi
    Haaland Isak (4.5)

Wood missed the previous game due to workload management. Has started all the others including today which looked to be their strongest team. I think he's first choice but yes xMins at risk with Awoniyi around.

    TAA Gvardiol Mykolenko

    Havertz Isak (c)

Settled on this team with WC GW 6 pencilled in.

    0.5m in the bank.

    Sanchez - Fabianski
    Livramento - Mykolenko - Robinson - VdV - Barco
    Salah - Son - Martinelli - CHO - Winks
    Haaland - Isak - Muniz

Defence rotation is a treat. Attack is sorted.

Only iffy pick being Martinelli who can be Eze/Jota/Gordon but I want some Arsenal attack for the first 3 gws. Let’s see how Martinelli does in the next few games.

    GW 2 - Save FT
    GW 3 - Son ➡ Palmer
    GW 4 - Isak + Martinelli ➡ Watkins + Mitoma
    GW 5 - CHO ➡ Brereton Diaz
    GW 6 - WC

    Have I cracked it? 😀

I would agree with above. It’s decent for Salah and Haaland but the mids look weak and that’s where the points come from.

First draft - looking for feedback on changes?
The opinion here seems to be Foden may not start GW1 and are Elliot and Konate too risky. Will they start?
    Bench too weak?

    Pickford

    Porro Konate Andersen

    Salah Palmer Foden Gordon Elliot

    Isak Watkins

    Virginia Dunk Faes Fraser
