Have barely touched my squad since first draft. Still got Watkins and Rashford auto picks 🙂 This team is 1.0m away from a Salah/Haaland team. Can't decide who to downgrade, it would probably be Solanke for Wood. I'm now thinking perhaps Salah isn't the best captain for GW1, and Isak makes more sense. Salah to Saka gives me the Haaland money and allows Isak on board.

Other option is don't go in on Arsenal defence, and have three 4.0m's rotating? This gives me 2.0m for the upgrades. I think I like this best. Barco will likely be a perfectly good starter for the first 4/5 weeks, by then we will know if Salah and Haaland is actually necessary. Arsenal's opening five don't scream clean sheets plus they have so much more personnel available.

    (1.0m short of Haaland)

    Areola
    Gabriel Gvardiol Martinez
    Salah(c) Palmer Rashford Rogers
    Watkins+5.0m Solanke Muniz

    Fab Winks Barco THB

    Bottomed on the last page.

    Thoughts on this draft?

    4.5
    Gvardiol / Munoz / Konsa
    Fernandes / Bobb / Nkunku / Salah
    Haaland / Wood / Isak

    Bentley / ESR / Robinson / Harwood-Bellis

I'm working towards Haaland Isak and Salah all in too. Covers two games v Ipswich and the home game v Soton whihc I think is the captain pick for GW1. I've got Rashford at the mo rather than Bruno. I like Munoz and Robinson too. Have to have a think about them...

        i've definitely debated rashford too.

if I went to rashford it would allow me to maybe do keeper up to Allison for the first 6 weeks and then have 0.5 in the bank for a rainy day

    Morning chaps.

    Please tear this team apart.

    Areola, Fabianski.
    Harwood-Bellis, Konsa, Robinson, Porro, Gvardiol.
    Semeyo, Baily, Kudus, Nkunku, Son.
    Havertz, Isak, Haaland.

    Cheers!

      very different!

Son could be a great differential however I think for a non-salah team the rest of the midfield is too differential. Also no liveprool at all feels risky, how about Jota if not feeling Salah?

        Thanks pal!

Yeah no Liverpool worries me but bar taking Haaland out I’m not sure how I get Salah in.

I heavily debated Jota but I’m not sold on how many minutes he will get.

        Thanks buddy.

Il be honest I just went for both West Ham keepers to save funds.

Porro is there for assists and goals. Konsa wins a lot of fouls and with the change to bonus points for defenders I wanted him in.

Quality option to start the season for squads with Salah, Haaland and another premium mid. Nearly the same ppg as Bruno last season, and higher than almost all the 6.5m mids. Also has good fixtures.

Have just tinkered around and landed on a draft with 6 Premiums while still having a solid lineup…

    Flekken
    Trent Porro Myko
    Salah Son Saka Hudson Odoi
    Watkins Isak Muniz

    4 Konsa Barco Sangare

  19. Ronnies

    Latest draft;

    Raya
    Gvardiol Porro Mykolenko
    Salah Gordon Eze CHO
    Haaland Isak Muniz

    4.0, Winks, Barco, THB

Bench is fodder, which isn't ideal.
Plan is to perma play Gvardiol/Porro and route the three other defenders for a three at the back.

    Thoughts please?
    Cheers.

Feel quite happy with this draft

    Hendo
    Porro, Myko, Aina
Salah, Son, Nku, Bailey, Brereton Diaz
    Haaland, Isak

Weak bench but doesn’t matter to me as only for autosubs

    Can’t overlook Aina’s starting fixtures

Diaz will be a differential pick if he lights up like the back end of last season

No Arsenal is my only concern but their fixtures suggest picking in wildcard after GW5

More premium defenders will come in wildcard when teams are settled and cleansheets are more attractive

I don't think there is a certified "best" 5.0 mid. All of them are traps that you'll struggle to get out of unless you have money ITB. Try stretching to 5.5 perhaps?

I don't feel like the 5.0 slot works as the 7th attacker. Rotational 8th, sure, but even that comes with some risk. As the 7th it's just a transfer waiting to happen when the minutes eventually dry up. Potentially forcing you into a 6 attacker squad in the short term depending on other situations which might arise.

    2. Merlin the Wraith
      • 9 Years
      1 year, 7 months ago

Bobb might come in handy if City fail to get Alvarez replacement. Have Gvardiol/Haaland at mo so reluctant to tie up 3rd City slot in case Foden comes good few weeks down the line. So, I've got Rogers at the mo.

    Another day another draft

Getting closer and feel this will be very close to what i end up with, 5-6 pen takers (ode if Saka doesnt start)

Only player i would really like is White over Saliba, i reckon White given his unique role for Arsenal will see the least rotation - but perhaps Arteta may play Timber there occasionaly, but doubtful as has played in CB in pre-season

Closer to deadline I may end up with
Bobb & White over Andreas + Saliba if Bobb looks nailed to start

    Flekken
    Porro Saliba Gvardiol Hall
    Salah Andreas Odegaard MGW
    Haaland Isak

Ok, or too risky no Haaland and weak bench?

    Flekken 4.0
    Trent Gvardiol Saliva Myolenko 4.0
    Salah Saka Gordon Nkunku CHO
    Watkins Isak 4.5

    Toying with the idea of Raya as main GK and rotating Henderson to cover Arsenal's trips to Villa and Spurs. Looks like this over the first four weeks;

    GW1 Raya v WOL(H)
    GW2 Henderson v WHU(H)
    GW3 Raya v BHA(H)
    GW4 Henderson v LEI(H)
