The deadline for Fantasy EFL Double Gameweek 29 is over 24 hours away, with the deadline on Friday night for the first time since Gameweek 26. To help fine-tune your squads we have a team reveal, courtesy of our very own Louis [aka FPL Reactions].

Haven’t joined Fantasy EFL yet? Don’t miss out! It’s completely free to play and there are fantastic prizes up for grabs.

Our complete guide to Fantasy EFL is your starting point. Packed with rules, points, strategy tips, transfers, and more, it’ll get you ready for action. Plus, stay tuned for fresh content that we’re creating on the official EFL site.

THE STARTING SEVEN

Just a heads-up before beginning: my squad is particularly volatile this week and could easily change before the deadline. More so than any other week, I expect significant changes before the final submission.

GOALKEEPER

Back-to-back clean sheets in League One, alongside upcoming fixtures, makes investing in the Birmingham City defence an easy decision. With that in mind, I’ve opted for Ryan Allsop (G) in between the sticks for Double Gameweek 29.

DEFENDERS

Another side whose defence has impressed recently is Bradford City. In fact, they have secured seven clean sheets in their previous 10 matches in all competitions. Because of this, Brad Halliday (D) makes the cut.

Joining him – more of a punt on my end – is David Okagbue (D), someone with six attacking returns for Walsall this season.

My captain is a player who offers multiple routes to points, Cheltenham’s Sam Stubbs (D). The centre-back has managed at least seven points in seven of his previous 10 outings.

MIDFIELDERS

Although Middlesbrough have been woeful of late, they could click into gear at any given game. Finn Azaz (M) has been one of their most effective attackers this campaign and, occasionally, an explosive Fantasy asset. Not many will go for him this week, which is another compelling reason I might do so.

Next to him in midfield is Davis Keillor-Dunn (M). As above, Barnsley are another side that is short of form but Keillor-Dunn plays out of position, showing his attacking potential on several occasions this season. He has two good fixtures ahead.

FORWARD

Azaz may not be differential enough, so I could go super differential with a Middlesbrough double-up. Since moving from Sevilla, Kelechi Iheanacho (F) hasn’t yet made an impact, but with the quality he has, it may just be a matter of time before we see him perform.

CLUB PICKS

It won’t be long before League Two table toppers Walsall kick back into gear and recapture some of their previous form. Two away fixtures against ropey sides could be hugely rewarding, if successful.

My second team is Huddersfield Town. With two wins and two clean sheets in the last three games, they are clearly finding some groove. The fixtures ahead look good, based on their opponents’ form, so the Terriers take their place.

It’s worth mentioning that there are better double rounds for Birmingham City than this week’s. Selecting them now could block you off when they face easier-looking opposition.
