FANTASY EFL DOUBLE GAMEWEEK 3 SCOUT NOTES: LEAGUE ONE
Blackpool 3 Huddersfield Town 2

A cracker at Bloomfield Road, although the 24% of managers who selected the Terriers – including me – weren’t left best pleased.
A wild first half saw all five goals scored. Despite having 17 shots and dominating possession, the Terriers lost the match but gained two Fantasy points for scoring 2+ goals.
In a dramatic turn for the spectacle, Niall Ennis (F) was both the hero and the villain. He secured a brace (+10) but was also shown a red card. Due to his suspension, Ennis won’t be back on the field until Gameweek 6.
Blackpool travel to Mansfield, while Huddersfield host Doncaster.
Stevenage 2 Northampton Town 0
The only team to win three on the spin in League One – step forward Stevenage.
Dan Kemp (M) proved to be the hero, scoring 13 points: opening the scoring (+6) and providing the assist (+3) to the second goal.
The highest-selected player, Carl Piergianni (D), returned eight points for 8%. Gassan Ahadme (F) also scored on his debut.
The Stags take on Port Vale (A), while the Cobblers host Lincoln City.
Bradford City 2 Luton Town 1
The Bantams are still unbeaten, while Matt Bloomfield’s side have lost for the first time this season.
Stephen Humphrys (F) and Bobby Pointon (F) are both in good form. Humphrys scored his first goal of the season, adding to his two previous contributions. Pointon scored his second goal of the season.
George Saville (M), however, earned seven points with two interceptions (+4), continuing his impressive start.
Some high-owned players like Mads Andersen (D) and Josh Keeley (G) blanked. However, Keeley still made five saves (+2) and scored three points.
However, George Saville (M) earned seven points with two interceptions (+4), continuing his impressive start.
The Bantams will play Stockport away, and Luton will face Wigan at home next.
Lincoln City 3 Plymouth Argyle 2
The nightmare start for Tom Cleverley continues at the Pilgrims, sitting joint-bottom of the table.
Three mistakes at the back led to all of the opposition’s goals. James Collins (F) capitalised on these errors, scoring a brace – one from the penalty spot – earning an impressive 17 points.
Despite falling behind 3-0, the Pilgrims showed some fight, with Xavier Amaechi (M) starring as he contributed to both goals to make it 3-2, banking 14 points.
The match also featured controversy as Brendan Wirdeu (M) was sent off for simulation, though replays suggested he might have been fouled for a penalty.
The Imps face the Cobblers, and Plymouth host Leyton Orient.
Other notable scorers… or lack thereof

Multiple highly-owned assets blanked.
Barnsley assets didn’t score as hoped, with their 1-1 draw against Bolton. ‘DKD’ (M) scored five for 29%, Luca Connell (M) scored six for near-10%.
Luke Molyneux (M) blanked for 22% in Donny’s 1-1 draw against Wycombe Wanderers (H).
Despite their strong win, Jamie Reid (F) blanked for Stevenage for 26%.
FANTASY EFL DOUBLE GAMEWEEK 3 SCOUT NOTES: LEAGUE TWO
MK Dons 5 Cheltenham Town 0
We’ve now seen the first 13-point home haul of the season, thanks to Paul Warne’s side. The big Summer spending is now proving its worth.
In a rampant first-half display, Jack Sanders (D), Alex Gilbey (M), and Calum Paterson (F) all scored, followed by two in the second.
Sanders, most impressively, hauled 19 points for 4.3% – and is the highest scorer on the game with 39. Luke Offord (D) provided an assist (+3) and made defensive returns, totalling 32 points in three.
The impressive start continues; they face Crawley Town (A) next. The Robins face Bromley (H).
Chesterfield 3 Bristol Rovers 1
Chesterfield continued their strong form with a 3-0 home win over Bristol Rovers, making it three wins in a row for the Blues.
The match started poorly for the visitors, who went down to ten men after Jack Senior (D) was sent off. Chesterfield capitalised on the advantage just two minutes later with a goal from Tom Naylor (M).
Two late goals secured the win for Chesterfield. Kyle McFadzean (D) scored from a corner, and Armando Dobra (F)added a third to seal the victory.
Looking ahead, Chesterfield will travel to Gillingham, while Bristol Rovers will face Oldham Athletic (H).
Crewe Alexandra 1 Crawley Town 0

Tommi O’Reilly’s (M) first-half goal secured a 1-0 victory for Crewe Alexandra over Crawley Town, making them one of only two teams with a perfect three wins from three games.
Despite having less possession and fewer shots, Crewe’s Josh March (F) assisted the winner, his third assist in four games.
Tom Booth (G) also earned his third straight nine-point score, making him the highest-scoring keeper.
The loss continues a poor start for Crawley, who have now lost three in a row. The recently relegated League One sides are on a poor run.
Crewe face Fleetwood, while Crawley face MK Dons.
Bromley 2 Fleetwood Town 2
James Norwood (F) scored a last-minute equaliser for Town after a defensive error, securing a point.
After James Bolton’s (D) early goal put the visitors ahead, Marcus Diagana (F) and Nicke Kabamba (F) scored for the Ravens, with Michael Cheek (F) assisting the first goal.
Will Davies (F), who had a strong start to the season, failed to return for 9.9% of managers.
Both teams remain unbeaten, with Bromley playing Cheltenham, and Fleetwood facing Crewe next.
Other notable scores
Jaze Kabia (M) scored -1 for over 7% of managers, missing a penalty (-3) and getting booked (-1) in Grimsby Town’s 2-1 win over Newport County (H).
Ben Woodburn (M) returned 14 points for 0.1%, providing two goal contributions and other returns, helping Salford City to a 2-1 win over Accrington (H).
Colchester United were the only other Doubling club pick to score 11 points, thanks to their 2-0 away victory at Shrewsbury Town.
DOUBLE GAMEWEEK 3 SCOUT NOTES: CHAMPIONSHIP STANDOUTS
Oliver McBurnie (F) put on a 16-point masterclass in Hull City’s 3-2 win over Oxford United. The talisman bagged three goal contributions and further returns in his first start for the Tigers.
Another spectacle, but in Wales this time, Wrexham were defeated 2-3 by WBA, mainly thanks to a brace from Isaac Price (M), who also bagged 16 points.
Middlesbrough put on a show at The Den, defeating Millwall 3-0, thanks to goals from Hayden Hackney (M), Alfie Jones (D), and Delano Burgzorg (F). They’ve won back-to-back games under Rob Edwards and are yet to concede.
The game of the weekend: Derby County 3, Coventry City 5. Eight different goal scorers, the highest scorer was Victor Torp (M) with a 14-point return, bagging two goal contributions, the same as Ephron Mason-Clark (F), who scored 13.
We’ve got 11 midweek matches to go, which promise to be full of drama.
