We’ve set ourselves the challenge in Fantasy EFL Gameweek 4 of building a differential 7+2, with all players and clubs owned by 1% or fewer of managers.

Every week, we see highly owned players underperform, while those with low ownership deliver big returns.

We’ve handpicked some assets who could be great differential options for your Fantasy EFL squad.

Following the Championship fixture yesterday, we have 35 matches to look forward to on Saturday at 12:30 and 15:00.

FANTASY EFL GAMEWEEK 4: DIFFERENTIAL 7+2

Fantasy EFL Gameweek 4: Differential 7+2

Goalkeeper

Bradford City’s Sam Walker (G) has been a standout performer since their promotion, accumulating 17 points in just four games.

Despite only one clean sheet, he’s made 12 saves, with a seven-save effort against Stockport County being his best performance.

Facing a Peterborough United side that has only scored one goal in their last four matches, Walker has a good chance of securing his second shutout of the season. He’s owned by 0.9%.

Defenders

Fantasy EFL Double Gameweek 37: best club picks

Salford City’s Luke Garbutt (D) has returned 24 points in four games, scoring a free-kick (+7) in Double Gameweek 3.

Despite only one clean sheet, his role on set-pieces gives him offensive potential.

He faces a struggling Walsall side (A) that has blanked in front of goal in two of their last four matches.

Looking for a route into MK Dons’ impressive defence? Gethin Jones (D) is the way to go. Despite averaging 7.3 points, he’s selected by 0.3%.

Without a blank, he’s made 15 clearances and also provided an assist (+3). The Dons are expected to dominate and make it four wins in a row against Newport County (A).

Finally, despite losing both openers, we predict Wrexham will secure their first win against Sheffield Wednesday (H), who continue to suffer off-field issues.

Last season, the Red Dragons’ defence was formidable, conceding just 15 home goals. Max Cleworth (D) was a key part of this success, amassing 310 points in 46 games, which also included nine goal contributions.

Midfielders

Idris El Mizouni (M) has made nine interceptions (+18) in three matches for Leyton Orient, scoring 25 points.

The O’s face Mansfield Town (A), who have won their previous three games [all comps]. Averaging 8.3 points and backed by just 0.4%, we’re expecting the number eight to continue his impressive form.

Partnering him, and wanting into Stevenage’s impressive start, Dan Kemp (M) makes the team.

The midfielder is backed by 0.5%, but averages 6.8, totalling 27. He has three goal contributions (+15) in four, alongside further returns.

Crucial to their attack, the Boro have a tricky test against Huddersfield Town (A). Kemp will be crucial to Stevenage’s success, making him a great differential pick over his more popular teammate, Jamie Reid (F), at 18%.

Forward

Coventry City’s Haji Wright (F) made his first start last week following an injury and opened his goalscoring account, banking eight points.

The USA international faces QPR (H), who have just one point in two games, and lost last time out on the road.

Whereas the Sky Blues are undefeated in their last two games, including a thrilling 5-3 win.

Their attacking strength, combined with Haji Wright’s recent goal-scoring form and penalty-taking duties, makes him a fantastic option at just 0.9%.

Club Picks

Fantasy EFL Transfers: McBurnie returns + Ipswich double-signing

Facing a lack of low-ownership teams with eye-catching matchups, we’ve identified two clubs we believe will win, despite their players not being involved in our seven.

Under new manager Sergej Jakirovic, Hull City are looking like dark horses for the season.

Despite their recent transfer embargo, they’ve recruited well and have defied expectations so far, remaining unbeaten in their first two games.

They take on Blackburn Rovers (H), who have lost both opening matches. We back the Tigers to pick up seven points for 0.8% at a minimum.

After their recent away victory, Exeter City are in decent form, having won two of their last four matches.

They will be looking to continue that momentum as they face Northampton Town, who have struggled recently under manager Kevin Nolan.

The Cobblers have lost three of their opening four, drawing just once.

We expect a nine-pointer at a minimum for the 0.8% that back the Grecians.
