There are three more Premier League matches following on from Everton 0-2 Chelsea, which all kick off at 3pm BST.

TEAM NEWS

The big team news is that Manchester City boss Enzo Maresca makes six changes from midweek.

Abdukodir Khusanov, Josko Gvardiol, Elliot Anderson, Enzo Fernandez, Rayan Cherki and Antoine Semenyo drop to the bench.

Matheus Nunes, Nico O’Reilly, Ayyoub Bouaddi, Mateo Kovacic, Phil Foden and Iliman Ndiaye come into the side.

For Ipswich Town, Gary O’Neil brings in Jacob Greaves and Exequiel Palacios for Sasa Lukic and Jaden Philogene.

Lukic is not in the matchday squad.

At the Gtech Community Stadium, Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexander Isak return to the Liverpool starting XI.

The suspended Ryan Gravenberch and Lewis Koumas make way from Gameweek 6.

Cody Gakpo is named among the substitutes.

Brentford’s three alterations see Sepp van den Berg, Mathias Jensen and Dango Ouattara replace Jannik Schuster, El Hadji Malick Diouf and Kevin Schade, who has been struggling with a shoulder injury.

Schuster is injured; however, Schade is on the bench.

Finally, at Craven Cottage, Timothy Castagne and Antonee Robinson are recalled to the Fulham starting XI. They replace Kenny Tete and Ryan Sessegnon.

For the visitors, Sergej Jakirovic is without the injured Nobel Mendy, while Ryan Giles and Joe Gelhardt drop to the bench.

Lucas Herrington, Brooke Norton-Cuffy and Mohamed Belloumi come into the side.

3 chelsea blanks, plus Gvardiol & Semenyo benched. I guess the run had to stop at some point...

On a good run myself until now. Same Chelsea 3 and I bought Semenyo this week.

Hopefully its a good week to have a bad week. Biggest threats are Verbruggen and Cherki, so should be an ok-ish week anyway.

At least you're not playing your bench boost and have Cherki, Gvardiol and Schade in your team........

Was Cherki Palace haul from the bench or did he start? Can’t remember, swear he got one haul from the bench already this season

He started. His interview after the game he mentioned he was about to get subbed off, but he stayed on and hauled.

I find it so bizarre City haven’t bought another striker, Haaland needs a challenge for his spot just like every other position

    1. Sandy Ravage
      1 day, 9 hours ago

which strikers in the world are good enough to challenge Haaland, but also happy to sit on the bench?

      1. KAPTAIN KANE SERVES THE PAI…
        1 day, 9 hours ago

Jackson sat on bench for Bayern over Kane.
Challenge a second thing I guess, main thing being why on earth don’t they want a second option, could always get injured fall out of favour etc

They could fiddle the books to buy one of those 😉

You get my point though, even when they had the GOAT Aguero they had Dzeko, Iheanacho etc.

Just seems mad to me a team like City running with only one striker in the entire squad.

            1. KAPTAIN KANE SERVES THE PAI…
              1 day, 8 hours ago

Players also known to perform better when they know there is competition for their spot.

Remember last year when Haaland walked around the pitch for matches at a time getting no goals etc, he was calm because there was zero competition, he’d know he’d start regardless.

              Semenyo can play as ST

                1 day, 8 hours ago

I mean a recognised forward - like my example above when they had Aguero, Tevez, Dzeko Iheanacho etc

            3. have you seen cyan
              1 day, 8 hours ago

They have had other players in the past as back up strikers, and all have asked to leave because they don’t want to sit on the bench. Haaland hardly gets injured either. Even Marmoush who isn’t particularly good didn’t want to stay there, let alone persuading a world class strike to. Semenyo and others can cover Haaland

Was thinking youth or summat, but there never seems to be anyone

                1 day, 8 hours ago

Could say same about the plethora of wingers they had, but they continue to manage to sign them and they sit on bench

      3. el polako
        1 day, 8 hours ago

Ivan Toney would be happy to sit on the bench as long as money adds up.

Probably too high profile player, thinking more youth or someone actually his level, former probably more probable

Marmoush is too high profile? Lol? Cant even nail down the striker spot at relegation candidates...

Makes me wonder if it never was Pep roulette, and instead it’s like the board telling the manager to do it.

Barely any other team rotates as much as they do, it’s why we have so many Man City leakers compared to other teams lol
