Dugout Discussion – Gameweek 36 – Friday

Double Gameweek 36 gets up and running at the London Stadium this evening as West Ham United entertain title-chasing Tottenham Hotspur.

The visitors roll up knowing that a win would take them to just one point behind Chelsea at the summit, with attacking trio Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen playing a prominent role in many Wildcards selctions over the last few days.

All three have merited our attention.

Kane – who has already picked up 13 points against the Hammers in Gameweek 12 – has seven goals and three assists in his last five starts and is second only to Alexis Sanchez in our Gameweek 36 Captain Poll, with 11% backing.

Eriksen has delivered double-figures in each of his previous two road trips, while Alli’s run of eight returns in the last nine Gameweeks has taken him to nine points off the top of the FPL player standings.

Devoid of a Double Gameweek, Fantasy interest in West Ham’s assets is minimal at best – the main impact will be their ability to breach a defence that’s conceded just once in their previous six.

Slaven Bilic’s side will take some solace in their 3-2 loss at White Lane back in November, though – that was one of only five times that Spurs have conceded more than a single goal in the league this season.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    which is the better option:

    A - Son + Hazard + Valencia + Barnes
    B - Son + Hazard + Luiz/ Azpi + Barnes - 4
    C - Pedro + Sterling + Holgate + Vardy - 8

This year is one of those years where those that wildcarded earlier and enjoyed the form of namley Lukaku; alli, eriksen and king will be difficult to catch in the league

I see doom and gloom in the forthcoming DGW where people will be left wondering what hit them after inevitable rotations render their BB and TC useless

sori to be a prophet of doom

Wildcarded in 28 for the blanks and it did pay off

      Not a bit of it.

This gameweek will yield 100 plus points quite easily. Those who doubled up on Sanchez and Ozileyes will do particularly well. Plenty of goals flying in at this time of year too.

Disagree - also look at the hits people took a week or two after their early WC - if it was so great they wouldn't have been taking the hits.

WC is only as good as the players you buy, not when you play it.

He has to be nailed, the only defender in their team-) But he walks on crutches, so something bound to happen soon, i´m afraid. But it is only three games so maybe he will manage it, may worth it then-) Caballero seems a bit nicer priced, but Kompany has a goal in him

Best defender for 5.5 or less for GW 37 and 38? Other current defenders are Bailly, Montreal, Holgate, Stephens.

The safest route to the DGW looks Manchester City players. The likes of Kompany, KdB and Jesus will surely outscore Alonso, Hazard and Kane it seems. Because, Spurs and Chelsea have nothing much to play for and Manchester City ran riot against Crystal Palace.
