Fixtures

Double Gameweek 34 Confirmed

The Premier League have belatedly revealed a number of rescheduled fixtures to confirm Double Gameweek 34.

However, the news is not quite what many had anticipated, with only eight teams set to play twice.

Indeed, just one of the matches postponed in Gameweek 31 due to FA Cup matches – Burnley vs Chelsea – has so far been rescheduled.

This is joined by three matches shifted out of Gameweek 35 for similar reasons – Brighton vs Spurs, Bournemouth vs Man United and Leicester vs Southampton.

Essentially, then, the eight sides facing a Double Gameweek 34, and their subsequent schedules, are as follows.

Confirmed Double Gameweek 34 schedule
Bournemouth (liv MUN)
Brighton (cry TOT)
Burnley (LEI CHE)
Chelsea (sot bur)
Leicester (bur SOT)
Man United (WBA bou)
Southampton (CHE lei)
Spurs (MCI bha)

Of the eight, Burnley are the only side to play two home matches in this round.

Up against Leicester and Chelsea at Turf Moor in Gameweek 34, though, Sean Dyche’s men hardly have it easy. Indeed, they are one of three teams – along with Bournemouth and Southampton – to face top eight opponents on both occasions.

However, Burnley are the only Double Gameweek 34 outfit to also play in Gameweek 35, when they make their way to Stoke.

Meanwhile, Man United are the only side to go up against opponents outwith the top eight, while just one team – Chelsea – hit the road on two occasions.

As a result of today’s announcement, the following matches still require a new date.

Chelsea vs Huddersfield
Leicester vs Arsenal
Man City vs Brighton
Swansea vs Southampton
Tottenham vs Newcastle
West Ham vs Man United

The Premier League have confirmed that these will be rescheduled by Tuesday April 3 – before Gameweek 33 – though it is anticipated that 12 teams will now face a Double Gameweek 37.

We will have more reaction and analysis of the implications on today’s announcement later, with a series of articles over the next week ahead of the Gameweek 32 deadline on Saturday March 31.

My view for those who have live wildcard.

Bb in 34 still possible - just

    Free hit 35

Kane tc in 37 with a load of dgw players

What people forget about this game is that it's all about the players that YOU pick and how they perform when YOU have them. It is not about how many drawers you can force into a particular week.
One person scored 106 points last week with just 2 players. Just let people form there own strategies and enjoy playing them out.
Some don't want to blindly follow the majority strategy for chip use. I cast my mind back to gw22 when some tried to convince us that TC on Kane was the only way to go.

YES, you've guessed right my wildcard is active and I'm glad that i played it.

This is my plan. Load up on double double gameweek players. Bench Boost them in GWK 34, Free Hit GWK 35 then go into Gameweek 37 with Kane (TC) and lots of double players already in place.

The benefit of this strategy is that there is a long time between GWK 32 and 37....the chances of using a wildcard now or GWK 33 that will get a good BB team out in GWK 37 is slim. But by aiming for a BB in GWK 34 you should be able to get a good DGWK 37 XI out.

      Anyway that's the theory.

whats the guarentee that Kane wont get injured again before that or be rotated and limited due to FA Cup or World Cup looming.

No guarantees on anything. But I'll be making a move for him GWK 36 or 37 so lots of time to find out.

Also if I don't TC him then then I'll go for someone like Mahrez, Vardy or Lukaku.

I'm so glad I was patient and waited and didn't chase the 0.1's by wildcarding early in GW32.

The Whole thing looks like a head-spinning mess. I need plenty of time to analyse this - with ALL chips in play and unused.

I'm fine - happy even - to have played it already. My team wasn't ready for GW32 and wouldn't have been.

The WC now allows me to get a much better team out in 32, whilst planning for my three chips, the DGWs, and the BGW. Although it could also be well used next week I'm happy to go into GW34 with 2FTs.

I'd use it this week again, even now knowing what we know!

i'm in this boat but am now thinking of WCing GW36. I have 7 DGWers for 34 atm as well as 3 Pool, 2 Arsenal who have good fixtures whcih leads to quality BB option in 34.

But until I see the rest of the rearranged fixtures i'm unsure if I'll BB in 34 or 37 though or who to use my TC on/when (though Auba/Kun in GW 35 is tempting for a sgw...)

      DDG, Ryan
      Tarko, Bailly, Christensen, Morgan, Stephens
      Salah, Willian, Son, Mahrez, Gudmundsson
      Lukaku, Vardy, Aubameyang

      BB that lot in 34
      FH in 35
TC in 37, hopefully Kane with tasty fixtures versus and Newcastle

If I didn't have the FH chip I'd be having migranes trying to navigate this run in.

Looks pretty bad for those without a FH (i.e. me)

Only one DGW34 side has a fixture in GW35. For those without a FH perhaps it's better to WC in 35 or after.

32-34: load up on DGW34 players with FTs
35: WC to get DGW37 players who have fixtures in GW35

BB either in 34 or 37 depending on how your current team looks

Why’s this bad ? There’s all the chips to use and you can’t free hit and TC/BB in the same week. Load up on DGW and BB. those who haven’t wildcarded are gonna have a woeful DGW surely ?

    No doubles for:
