Mitrovic the most-owned FPL asset on show in Fulham v Watford

Fulham take on Watford at Craven Cottage as Gameweek 6 gets underway at 12:30 BST, with three players on show who can boast a double-digit ownership.

Aleksandar Mitrovic (£6.9m), Jose Holebas (£4.9m) and Roberto Pereyra (£6.3m) are owned by 24.3%, 19.6% and 16.7% of Fantasy Premier League bosses respectively and all three start – as expected – in the lunch-time encounter in west London.

Watford indeed are unchanged for the sixth match on the spin, while Slavisa Jokanovic has made two alterations to his Fulham starting XI, both of which come in defence: Denis Odoi (£4.5m) and Cyrus Christie (£4.4m) make way for Calum Chambers (£4.4m) and Timothy Fosu-Mensah (£4.5m) respectively.

Ryan Sessegnon‘s (£6.2m) much-hyped Fantasy potential continues to diminish, as the youngster lines up “out of position” at left-back for the second week in a row.

Only Sergio Aguero (£11.4m) has had more efforts on goal than Mitrovic (20) this season, but no FPL forward can match the Serbian’s tally of ten shots on target.

The Cottagers might find it hard to break down their visitors this afternoon, however: only two clubs have allowed fewer shots on target than the Hornets, who rank fourth for least amounts of efforts on goal conceded in 2018/19.

No FPL defender has created as many chances, registered more assists or fired over as many crosses as Holebas this season, meanwhile.

Fulham XI (4-3-3): Bettinelli; Fosu-Mensah, Mawson, Chambers, Sessegnon; Seri, McDonald, Johansen; Schurrle, Mitrovic, Vietto

Watford XI (4-4-2): Foster; Janmaat, Cathcart, Kabasele, Holebas; Hughes, Doucoure, Capoue, Pereyra; Deeney, Gray

    Confusion surrounding Benjamin Mendy.

First it was his knee, then it was his ankle, and now it’s his foot. Pep Guardiola has given several diagnoses in relation to Benjamin Mendy’s injury, but what’s for certain is that the Frenchman won’t feature for City today. - MEN

Something fishy as stated by others before me.

As Ive said before, seems to be an internal disciplinary ban that they dont want to disclose to the public. Perhaps for the driving infractions and 12 month driving ban, perhaps something else. He seems like a Ballotelli light in some regards, wouldnt be surprised if hes pulled some dumb stuff and gotten himself a club punishment.

It's a bit murky. The way he answered the question about Mendy to begin with in the recent press conference and the timing of these injuries with the other Mendy news. Might be reading to much into it but to give all these different injuries out it's like Pep is alluding to something without coming out and actually saying it.

Player gets involved in a fishy incident. Club makes up injury to not publicize said fishy incident. Club decides to change the story in every press conference until the player is back to not rise more suspicion.

      Does that make sense?

      1. Oven Glover
        • 9 Years
        6 years, 12 hours ago

Not really. If they didn’t want to draw unnecessary attention to the “incident”. They would have picked a injury and stuck to it.

        1. Ramboros
          • 13 Years
          6 years, 12 hours ago

Exactly. You have to specifically do a test to not confuse an ankle sprain with an injured fifth metatarsal. That one is easy to explain. The knee injury could be a separate issue, or just something the French doctors thought were an issue.

The midfield of Fulham is none existent. So so poor today. Only time I’ve noticed them is going forward. Even then it’s been mainly the front three and the fullbacks.

Have Foster and chose not to bring in Mitro. Really hoping he doesn't score. Can easily see him getting something even against run of play.

Still time to go but surely there's at least 2 big hitters on your team. Maverick moves anyway, when it pays off it does really well

Why is Andy Townsend ridiculed for his commentary ? Have not really paid any attention to what those commentators blabber generally but is there any specific reason he is ridiculed ?

I've never understood this. I like him. Same goes for Mark Lawrenson who also gets stick.

I saw him get a lot of stick here in this forum. Wanted to know any specific incident which caused it !

Sometimes the crap sticks and its difficult for it to slide off.

I've never found Townsend to be better or worse than any co-commentator.

It's the cliches, platitudes and lazy opinions. But he's no worse than many other co-commentators.

He has looked like Watford's worst player today despite the assist. Poor in possession.

I'd take an assist from mitro at this point.... actually just not getting a yellow!

Everton's midfield is as bad as Fulham's. It will be a closer game.

Nowt wrong with Watford. I really like when a team has a plan and plays to their strengths. Strength being the operative word. Some very strong lads in that Watford team.
