Vardy absent as Alli overcomes injury fears for Spurs

Jamie Vardy (£10.1m) is one of nine changes made by Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers for Gameweek 20.

Kasper Schmeichel (£5.4m) and Jonny Evans (£5.2m) are the only players to survive from the Liverpool match with all other starts from Gameweek 19 missing out.

Çaglar Söyüncü (£5.1m), Ben Chilwell (£5.7m), Youri Tielemans (£6.4m), James Maddison (£7.7m) and Harvey Barnes (£5.9m) are all on the bench while Vardy is absence from the match-day squad entirely.

The centre-forward misses out on the trip to West Ham because his wife Rebekah gave birth and he is spending time with them.

Not only will West Ham be boosted by facing a second-string Leicester side, but they also have encouraging news of their own as Lukasz Fabianski (£4.9m) returns in goal for the first time since Gameweek 7.

They themselves have rotated to some extent with Michail Antonio (£6.9m) and Mark Noble (£5.0m) benched in favour of Carlos Sánchez (£4.3m), and Manuel Lanzini (£6.2m).

Meanwhile, there are similar frustrations for Fantasy managers at Carrow Road where Dele Alli (£8.9m) starts for Spurs with Lucas Moura (£7.1m) named on the bench.

The Englishman was considered a doubt for Gameweek 20, triggering a slew of sales, but he has overcome his fitness concerns to start.

Furthermore, Moura was the target for some of those selling Alli and it turns out that it is him who will have to feature as a substitute instead.

Norwich have benched Todd Cantwell (£4.8m) but Teemu Pukki (£6.6m) starts up-front.

    Not doing Tammy to Ings when the former got injured + getting in Pulisic (blank after blank and minus 3 SV) after his hattie is the only reason I'm not in the top 10k rn. Everything else has been pretty good. Having the right budget players is what makes all the difference, as most of us have the same premiums. At least that seems to be the case.

      Man that disallowed goal is crazy. Beating the offside trap was a skill, but looking at Pukki’s body position in the screenshot, he’s literally leaning over beginning to run, its so harsh, what can he do? You literally can’t fix it. Its pot luck, same with Zaha’s today, you have to just hope for the best

      You guys from England should start an antiVAR campaign. VAR is destroying football on multiple levels. When a goal is unfairly disallowed like Pukki's tonight, that team automatically gets' nervous, which leads to other problems like potential yellow and red cards. A natural reaction once you've been robbed for a goal/penalty/whatever.

          I think rules should be changed. With VAR in football, only feet should be watched for offsides. This circus decisions with "hair offsides" are ruining football as a game.

      Why offside isn't judged by the leading foot alone is ridiculous. Foot faults are the standard in cricket, tennis, a host of athletic disciplines, darts and bowling...

      How much advantage can anyone really gain from an arm, knee, shoulder, whatever extending beyond the line? Unless you had metal rods down your socks, a-la the Michael Jackson 'Billy Jean-lean', you wouldn't be able to sustain your balance if you did happen to be a considerable distance ahead of the line.

      When are the authorities going to apply some logic to their VAR systems?

        It is ridiculous. VAR was supposed to be brought in to help officials clear up a “clear and obvious error”. Just undermined the linesman there and if they have to draw dotted lines it’s not clear and obvious.
