Team Reveals

FPL team reveals: Who I’m replacing Kostas Tsimikas with for Gameweek 3

Five-time top 1k FPL finisher Tom Freeman on Calvert-Lewin, Wolves and his Gameweek 2 plans

Ahead of Gameweek 3, I have two free transfers and £0.5m in the bank.

The graphic below shows how I’m currently set up prior to making any transfers, and as you can see, I need to prioritise a defensive move to ensure I have four starters.

I’d also like to have two frees for the international break, so any further adjustments will have to wait.

So, onto my transfer then.

Only subscribers can read this article in full: Fantasy Football Scout Premium Memberships for the 2021/22 season are still available at the pre-season cost of £20.00 – but only for a little while longer.

We have given our users until the start of the September international break to sort out their subscriptions for the new campaign but this really is last-chance saloon territory, as yearly Premium Memberships will rise to the regular season price on Sunday.

Thoughts on what to do with this? 2FT - I actually quite like the team but don't want to lose a FT:

    Sanchez
Tsim - TAA - Shaw (White - Ayling)
    Barnes - Salah - Bruno - Gundo - Raph
    Antonia - Ings (Obafemi)

Gundo to Benrahma the template move, or Tsim/White to a 4.1 like Livramento

Trent. Likes of Digne Shaw Cresswell Reece can offer similar attacking potential

Salah is simply on a league of his own

It's 15 days away. Join team training tomorrow, in the stands on Sunday (registered too late to play), international break, train together after, start GW4

Just like Bruno two seasons ago, there's no reason to ease him in. He's fit

I simply don't know. But there is a good reason for him to come as a sub. He get's his moment. And on the other hand they haven't trained together. With start there are more risks and less to win imo. If he starts and they lose, it's not fun. If he comes as a sub and doesn't score, it doesn't matter. If he scores, he gets two "moments".

The problem has never been identifying players that Man U need to sell. It is finding a club willing to pay the inflated values Man U place on them and more importantly their hugely inflated wages.

West Ham may accept a 20 million fee for Lingard at a stretch but no way will they come anywhere near to meeting Lingards wages and the player himself has shown himself very unwilling so far to take a big pay cut.

Against Salah, Chilwell. Against Fabinho on set pieces, Alonso. Chilwell is the by far best footballer, but in that 3-4-3 you get so much from Alonso and Chilwell loses his supremacy natural footballing ability over Alonso, this system favours Alonso to put it simple. In a regular backline there is really No contest. Alonso is awful as a regular fullback because he is too slow, he is awful positional wise and cant defend. But in a 3-4-3 his good qualities masks the bad ones, because the extra cb and one of the DM cover his fault beeings.

I think this is the golden ticket...

    Raya
    Shaw Dier Coady
    Salah Grealish Benrahma Raphiana
    Lukaku Kane Antonio

    Gunnarson Livramento Bissouma Duffy

With so many strong attackers, going without Trent may just have to happen

Anyone thinks penalty duties will be handed to Ronaldo?

I think Bruno will remain on penalties, he has done well to score. Ole wouldn't want to fix what isn't broken. Afterall, Ronaldo is a short term signing, Bruno is the present and future.

I think Ole will have to make a firm call. I posted these career stats a few pages back: Bruno - 41 pens, 3 misses (7%). Ronaldo - 139 pens, 27 misses (19%). Can't get sentimental about penalty takers - have to go with who you think scores them most of the time.

He is but Bruno has said previously he doesn't mind if someone else wants to take them. Ronaldo being Ronaldo I would expect he'll wanna take them.

Bruno may have said he wouldn't mind sharing in the past but if Ole takes it away from him, it will affect Bruno's confidence and morale. The team, the game play is built around Bruno, scoring these penalties (easy goals) keeps the player's confidence intact.

i have him in my draft league and like him - not sure he's quite an FPL asset - I'd wait till after transfer window to be sure Everton don't bring in more players.
If he ends up on the wing as he has been then he's a really interetsing enabler.
