For me it's Mbeumo or Sterling in. Got Wissa already if that's a factor... who's the better long term pick?

    Rashford or Martinelli to Maddison?

Leaning Rashford as Uniteds defence is abit depleted

Richarlison will start banging in the goals very soon, the people jumping on Sterling now will jump to Richarlison next.

Feel like he's far more likely to be dropped than start banging them in, especially with Spurs looking to bring in wingers.

Not going to slate him in public, is he? Managers back players and drop/sell them all the time. I remember United fans losing their minds when Ten Hag said he wanted De Gea and Maguire to stay.

I've done Rashford and Shaw to Sterling and Udogie for a hit, with the real likelihood that Rashford will punish vs Arsenal. Now thinking about Wildcarding as I can see Maddison and Jackson doing well is gonna really hurt, and I'm already down towards the 3 million rank, another really poor start!

Here is a quick breakdown on Liverpool's CB situation, players in the pecking order (nicked off Reddit):

    1) VVD - suspended for at least 2 games
    2) Konate - injured
    3) Matip - available, needs to be managed fitness-wise
    4) Gomez - available, is also backup RB
    5) Quansah - available, has made his professional debut last weekend
    6) Nat Phillips - leaving the club
    7) Koumetio - left on loan

Ignoring the fact Liverpool will probably pull a result out of their backside because it's Anfield, I'm surprised more people aren't looking to bring in Diaby this week.

Rolling with double Chelsea defence this week, sadly Gusto stayed on my bench last week!
No City defence is a worry, i have triple attack at the minute actually, almost paid off last week, no idea how Alvarez didn't get somthing and Foden shouldn't have been on the bench.

    3. Wrong Captain Choice - Ag i…

I had double Chelsea defence last gameweek Gusto-Chillwell. I was let down by my goalkeeper Onana and Henry surprisingly.

Looking at those odds and the way Forest are playing, I would not be as confident of a Chelsea clean sheet as the odds suggest.
So it will be hoping for attacking defensive returns from those two.

I would expect Henry to get a clean sheet v Bournemouth this time and hopefully Onana makes lots of saves v Arsenal.

      --
If I was to pick any defence for this gamweek it would be -

      Areola
      Walker - Anderson - Udogie - Henry

    Finding this debate tricky

    A) Martinelli to Mbuemo/Eze: allows funds for Pervis to Trippier GW5
    B) Martinelli to Sterling: forget about Trippier, maybe upgrade 4m Def to a 4.5-5m def
    C) Hold Martinelli for one more

It must be a topic of discussion.

If an offer of £200m comes in next Wednesday, he's leaving.

There's a price for almost anything, especially where Premier League football is concerned and Saudi largesse.

There would be riots from fans if the club sold their best player today, never mind after the window shuts. That £200m wouldn't even really mean much to Liverpool if they can't spend it on a replacement.

Pushing for Champions League this season and letting him go for £100m or so next summer will be the plan. It's a no-brainer.

    Would love your opinions everyone!

My mids are currently Maddison, Rashford, Mitoma, Saka, Enciso (bench). Want to take out one/both of my Brighton mids. Do I go:

    A) Sterling
    B) Mbeumo
    C) Foden
    D) Take two from above and chalk up -4 pts

    1. The Pretender
      • 9 Years

I would take the -4 this week. Mitoma looks good but their fixtures are terrible, and Enciso is a clear out.

Planning the WC chip in GW 9 and also had bad luck on defense with both Beyer and Shaw injured, so think the -4 is a small price to pay in return for restructuring my run until that gameweek and bolstering defense after the international break

Enciso is close to dropping in price so I would move him to Sterling or Foden depending on who else you have (e.g. Jackson and/or Alvarez). In a straight shoot-out between the two, I'd take Sterling.

I will most likely be shipping Mitoma out for Raheem this week.

could easily go for Mbeumo and Foden for both but i'd probably keep Mitoma one more week and just Mbeumo as he has a great fixture this week.

On the Maddison, Sterling and Bowen discussion Maddison has had the easiest fixtures so far.

Bowen can probably be discounted because of the upcoming fixtures.

Does Sterling also have more secure 90 mins?

And why not Foden anymore, the flavour of last week?

foden over bowen all day. Bowen relying on clutch moments in a team that have very little posession .fodens fixtures look really nice and he's going to be in his best position

I would be all over Bowen if JWP wasnt on set pieces - just makes him fall out of the top 5 mids for me. Would rather own any of Salah, Saka, Rashford, Bruno, Sterling, Maddo and Mbeumo, and Ode/Eze are close too.

        And Diaby too.

        All strong attacking options.

Not sure why Diaby is getting so overlooked in these discussions. Happy to have him at 9% ownership though

gutted Foden was benched last week but he's still got two great home games coming up so fingers crossed.

benched but not rotated though, that has to be stressed (or maybe its better for owners if people believe he was)

Triple up on Chelsea too much?

    Chilwell / Sterling / Jackson

I could replace Sterling with Maddison or Diaz?

I'm probably going Mitoma to Sterling this week and will have that triple up. I also have Diaz, and will mostly like get Maddison in after the international break or maybe before if I go to the pub between now and GW4 deadline.

Who would you be moving out for Sterling/Maddison/Diaz?

        Transfers I was thinking are.

        Pedro > Jackson
        Mitoma > Sterling / Maddison / Diaz

I like that. Even if it was for a -4 tbh.

Probably get Sterling this week, given the fixture and both his real-life and FPL form. I want Maddison long-term so am happy to delay by a week or so.

I dont think so with their fixtures. In general yes, but for next month - lock it in.
