    I know this week didn't go as planned but i feel Eriksen at QPR could do me a return favour, and Mata could do something against sunderland. If Ramsey queeps quiet then it evens it up from this week.

    Next week i'll use the 2ft to do:

    Eriksen -> Sterling

    Neil Taylor -> Terry

    Sound good?'

    My Team for GW2:

    Mannone (Krul)
    Debuchy Cahill Vlaar (Caulker) (Bruce)
    Siggy Fabregas Mata Ramsey Henderson
    Costa Rooney (Bojan)

    Dropped Caulker for Vlaar as I can't see QPR keeping clean sheet at Spurs and Bruce is injured.

    Give Mata another week otherwise will consider dropping for Sterling at end of GW2 / start of GW3 and consider replacing Caulker with Lovren.

    Thoughts?

    Going with a big 3 upfront seems a tad unwise in hindsight 😆 .. no fabregas, no sterling and no chance of gettin em. oh well.. either i admit it was a bad idea and shift the cash to midfield or just continue with this system until fabs/sterl become unbuyable price wise. mostly gonna just do the latter as usual and go to sleep 🙂

      Stick for a week.

      All your strikers scored, that's a good start. If they stay consistent it will be well worth it. Mids won't be as consistent.

      Thing is next week may see braces/hat-tricks from all of your strikers and nowt from the mids. I do think that balance is needed though, that extra point for a goal and point for a cleanie really mean that there is a lot of value in midfield.

    Hmm.. Too early for Mata -> Fab or not? I know Fab is going to score well all season but can still see Mata getting some big points in the coming weeks..

    Well, I started with 19. I am now mildly chuffed. Best start to FPL ever. 🙂

    Battle of the big boys:

    1) Chelsea defence:
    Ivanovic with a solid start picking up a goal and unlucky not to get an assist. Meanwhile Luis looks shaky as an option as do Azpi and Ivan due to Champions League etc. and rotation. Cahill and Terry look nailed on and when fit I don't see Jose choosing Ivanovic over either, unless Terry needs a rest.
    Ivanovic was also looking for the cross a lot and my god you don't want to see him running towards you... That's why I think Luis will struggle to find consistent, guaranteed game time.

    2) Fabregas vs Hazard:
    Midfield master class from Cesc tonight as he supplied two goals with fine vision and quality. Hazard looks a little *off the pace is the wrong word* but he needs a week or two like Alexis. Perhaps he is carrying his end of season form into the new campaign but this is difficult to tell. Also with Fabregas on the ball more often and Costa an ever present option to supply up front perhaps Mourinho has had to change his plans for Hazard as he is less of the 'go to man'. At 9 million though Fabregas looks a bargain and looks the heart of Chelsea's midfield.

    There are 2 key things we saw tonight from Cesc:
    Fabregas is a free kick taker, despite Schurlle taking the free kick. If only costa got a penalty, we would be able to see if he took the penalty.

    Secondly, it doesn't matter where he plays, he produces. Sure he may get less goals than Hazard but I have a feeling he will get more assists and be more consistent than Hazard with all those touches. He could be a HUGE FPL PROSPECT.

    3) Ramsey vs Alexis:
    Despite not playing the best of games, the Welshman produced with a last gasp goal to finish off Palace. Alexis needs time to adapt to the Arsenal style and the premier league. As an Arsenal Player he will have to spend less time on the ball as at the moment he plays a fast, direct style suited to La Liga. The 1.5 million pound gap between the two pushes the pendulum firmly towards Ramsey who has reinvented himself as the key man in that Arsenal midfield.

    Have fun choosing.

      Ivanovic's crossing was terrible as usual. Once Luis is fully integrated, I don't see Ivanovic starting unless it's at CB.

    Suffice to say, the only way is up 😀

    Far better to have a poor start and go up than a good start and then go down.

    Right?
