That's not true. If it was true for a period last season it's an oversimplification because in past seasons I've read on here that Kane is ineffective with son. He'll Jonty has linked his form to every member of personnel down to the tea lady. Correlation does not equal causation. Also it does help playing with a good player in the form of their life like son was for periods last season. Same applies to if Eriksen or Alli were in the form of their life. Their teammates benefit. » Read

It's the best feeling ay. It's why I play the game. My WC gw5 last season was full of low ownership players I thought were about to start scoring well and devoid of high ownership "essential" players I thought weren't in great form. Completely nailed most of em and flew up to the top 100 OR while the masses chasing points clamored to buy my players. Nothing better than being ahead of the curve. » Read

I hate it. So inflexible which is the most important thing gw1. Choosing players blind with no form to assess is a lottery even though none of us want to admit it. » Read

Also your definition of points chasing is strangely complicated and specific. To me points chasing means chasing a players previous scores instead of predicting their future scores. » Read

Dude how are you not getting this. Ownership literally chases points. Every week the people that score best are bought most and the longer they score the more their ownership increases. By definition EO is going to correlate with position in the standings. Every season not just last season. They picked the players that got the most points > ergo their players kept increasing in ownership because ownership chases points > ergo everyone that finishes high had template players. But the causation is backwards. They finished high because they got the template players BEFORE they were template. That is why they are ranked above the hundreds of thousands or millions of people that bought them later.I do ignore EO. Not because I think it's the best tactic to completely ignore it, it's probably a bit of a weakness of mine. It's just how I like to play the game. I predict future points based on past performance and hate to play out of fear or doubt. You say ignore it at your peril but I'… » Read

The top 10k by definition is going to be full of the highly owned players. Players are highly owned because they have scored the most points and ownership always chases points. Top 10k obviously had the best scoring players so of course ownership and top 10k correlate. You have the cause and effect backwards. The top 10k got them before they were template. » Read
