  6. Salah's FPL value up for debate despite another fine season 18 days, 14 hours ago

Also, if you keep increasing the prices for consistent performances, by your logic, if he gets 230 points next season as well, you would increase it from 12.5 to 14 in the next season. There should be a point where you stop and just look at points per million as well. It can't keep increasing beyond a point. » Read

Well, duh, when you score 25 goals and 3 assists at a price of 9.5, there's a lot of room for a price hike. Similar to Mane this season, who got a similar return and will be jumping from 9.5 to 11+. But when you're already at 11+, it doesn't feel as necessary because they're more likely to feel overpriced when the season goes on.Consistent performances over seasons should be rewarded, sure, but the prices are set by trying to estimate what the players will get the following season as well. Sterling got around 230 points two seasons in a row and will still be a rotation threat because City have 4 good wingers and it's Pep. Unless you think he's going to get a lot, lot more this season, I don't see how it warrants a 1.5 increase. Of course, this is all a matter of opinion, so let's just agree to disagree. » Read

    1. He played 186 minutes more than the season before. Roughly two 90-minute games. He did not start 7 games this season. Hardly convincing. Something closer to 3000 minutes would've been convincing. I have put him at 11.5, which is a 0.5 increase.2. I never said the prices should stay the same. Check my post. I increased the prices of Sterling and Mane. Just not as much as Ramboros did. » Read

I couldn't, since he ended up 0.8 more, not 0.3 😉K, so you decided to cling on to one point of mine and ignore the rest. So take that out. He scored the same points with the same PPM as the season before. So why the 1.5 increase? » Read

You must have a lot of time on your hands.Hold on. Sterling started at 11 this season. He scored practically the same points this season as the season before, with the same PPM. And his price never even rose to 12 this season. So why in the world would you increase it from 11 to 12.5? If you keep overpricing everyone, the game is only going to be less fun. » Read

Total points isn't the only factor. Auba outscored Aguero, yet Aguero was far more popular. Why? Because he delivered more when we expected him to.Salah's cheaper alternative Mane kept up with him during most parts of the season, including one part where Salah was in poor form and Mane was outscoring him. He was just as explosive as a captain too and arguably more reliable. He's also scored lesser points as a result of playing lesser minutes. While lesser minutes is a recurring factor with the likes of Sterling at Man City, Mane's minutes could be higher or lower next season than this season, we can't really know. The only way Salah can represent value is if his price is close to Mane's. 1m will suffice. » Read

Salah 12 Sterling 11.5 Mane 11This would be fair. But knowing FPL's usual overpricing, I'm expecting him to be 12.5 minimum. No one in their right mind believes Salah is worth more than 1m more than Mane.Last season, before the prices were announced, I posted that Kane should be 11 (same as Aguero), and everyone disagreed with me. There seems to be a tendency to overestimate. Some even said that Arnie at 7 would be a steal. Quite often, there isn't a need to increase prices. » Read

Hey, the Virg got his own article despite finishing low. That's a win in my books 😎These points won't necessarily help you next season though. Wildcard should be played either when your team is in really bad shape or before a big fixture swing. It's not that wildcarding late is always a mistake, not if your team didn't need it until then. You say you should've wildcarded before Hazard and Doherty started hauling, but if you didn't consider this at that time and are only talking about it now in hindsight, it doesn't matter. You'll realize mistakes in hindsight every single season. TC fail isn't a big deal. No Jimenez could've hurt a bit, but not enough to justify finishing where you did. And premium forwards are generally worse value than midfielders because several midfielders play more like forwards. For example, Salah, Mane, and Sterling have just as much or even more goal threat than Firmino and Aguero respectively. Yet they get an extra point for a goal as well as an unwa… » Read
