There's quite the difference between predicting and speculating. Plenty of scientists speculated this could happen. Bill Gates also spoke about it, not sure if Bill did all the groundwork himself. » Read

Reply fail below Jet. Here is the Football Daily podcast. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p088dl8d The Premier League's PR team are a disaster. If it's not stories of 'we have to get back playing games to get the rest of our huge pot of TV revenue' it's lies that players won't take pay cuts to help the cause. » Read

Not convinced that some players don't want either a pay cut or go without pay for a few months. I'm a bit confused but was listening to them talk about it on Football Daily. Seems it's a decision by clubs and or unions and or league's officials and or agents and most players are happy to take cuts to help furloughed workers and maybe donate to charity or NHS. It's disgraceful that wealthy clubs are benefiting from government handouts which is coming from taxpayers money. A top business doesn't have a place in the community that football clubs have. Juventus, Barca and other big clubs have taken paycuts or freezes. Premier League clubs should allow players to take cuts and show loyalty to hard pressed club employees and supporters. » Read

I started digging up some CDs and seeing how our two girls, 4 and 10 get on at musical history. Eased them in gently. Not impressed with Def Leppard, disbelieved the one armed drummer story. Like that the Housemartins sing about sheep and farmers but not impressed with their music. REM making a bit of impact. Can't see Metallica, Dylan, PJ Harvey, Pixies making an impression! » Read

As soon as you arrive home from work ignore everyone and head straight for the shower, put your work clothes aside from the rest of the family. Kids will always want huggies from Mam and Dad but reassure them they just need to wait a bit more now before you see them after work. Work helps I think, can talk to others and takes your mind off things. Reckless are you home alone or sharing or with family? Open up the windows for a while and let some fresh air into your place. Set a daily routine and stick to it. Get out in the fresh air at least once a day and if not get some exercise with windows open to get some fresh air in your lungs, helps you sleep. Try not getting into a staying up until 4 in the morning watching movies routine, have a regular sleep pattern, good for the immune system. I was off for a few days the last few weeks, just cold symptoms, but I found the more I heard about COVID symptoms the more I imagined I might have them! If you're on your own ring family or frie… » Read

Not sure how many nationalities are on now but here goes. 1. Name your favourite national sportsperson ever in international sport. 2. Who is the top sportsperson in your country right now in international sport. 3. If either or both are footballers name the next most famous footballer and vice versa, if you haven't named a footballer put one in. My own nominations, not necessarily the best, my own favourites: 1. Tony McCoy. 2. Shane Lowry. 3. Paul McGrath. » Read

In the day I would have picked him over Evra. Played for a dogged West Brom under Pulis, awful to watch but a nice few cleansheets and a bit of a goal threat. Tthat West Brom were effective but ugluly! Cheaper than Evra who was a classier player in a classy team playing lovely football. » Read
