This. I know literally nothing, so I'm not going to speculate, nothing deeper than that. Speaking of which - new article https://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2020/08/11/joshua-bull-crowned-fpl-champion-for-2019-20/ » Read

Even if I was to know what's going on (and I clearly don't) it's not like we could publish anything that the Official site haven't come out and said. Personal thoughts? It's not worth all the excitement and speculation. » Read

New Community Article The latest from Hedge and his research into PPG is up, this time looking at which is better - buying premium defenders or rotating cheap ones. Well worth a read as always and generates some great talking points. https://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2020/08/11/value-of-premium-defenders-vs-cheap-rotating-pair/ » Read

  5. Value of Premium Defenders vs Cheap Rotating pair 48 mins ago

Thank you Hedge, this is really good research. I also prefer rotating 4.5 defenders with usually just 1 premium defender in my squad (if that) but surely this could be even more appetising if we're looking to spend tons on our midfield next season? Nothing like a bit of confirmation bias to make me happy with my plans 😉 » Read

Quite a few CAs coming through at the moment, so thank you to everyone showing their support for them. Still have some to go live, there's another great one by Hedge coming out tomorrow. » Read

New Community article https://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2020/08/10/the-curious-case-of-richarlison/ I feel like most of us have owned Richarlison for some point over the last 2 seasons and been disappointed with what we got - is he a troll? Will he improve? The Ignorant Player took a look 🙂 » Read

  8. The Curious Case of Richarlison 1 day, 3 hours ago

Cheers Ignorant - I had so much success with him last season, but absolutely fell flat this one. I wonder if his struggles early on came from Everton struggling themselves? One of him or Siggy were pretty popular to begin with but Everton looked so flat to start with. » Read

So the CS is a glorified friendly as Andy says above? I definitely agree, but its about time the FA admitted it themselves 😉 » Read

New Community Article FPL_Mentor has had a look at what the impact of the 30-day rest gap for all teams that was decided *in principle* at the PL AGM and whether we could see some blanks. https://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2020/08/10/dates-for-the-diary/ » Read

Cheers Mentor! It's a really interesting situation, something we'll have to keep an eye on for sure. Would Arsenal be included if the FA went with this idea? Don't think there's a 30 day gap between the FA Cup and the Community Shield. » Read

Don't normally post the new Allsvenskan articles here, but definitely making an exception for this one. Meltens has posted his latest Pre-match Preamble and reflects on how we forget that we play fantasy games for fun - it certainly is true across the games and worth a read before the new season kicks off. https://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2020/08/09/fantasy-allsvenskan-gw14-pre-match-preamble/ » Read

Cheers Meltens, it's a really good point you make and not one that is just limited to Fantasy Allsvenskan. We plan and we plan and we plan only for probability to decide the outcome, and yet we forget the point was to have fun. Additionally, the latest set of Allsvenskan Scout picks are up on the main website, always worth a read! https://www.allsvenskan.se/fantasy/fantasy-football-scout-gw14-scout-picks » Read

  15. Can Pablo Hernández and Leeds' attackers offer reliable FPL appeal? 2 days, 23 hours ago

They are! It's sorted alphabetically by surname, but you get issues with footballers who use a different name to their surname, particularly those with Spanish names etc. So Periera (Leicester) should be with the P's but is listed like 3rd iirc because his surname is treated as Barbarosa I think. Fernandinho is another I think. As for the pictures - not sure what state they're in but I know there was a big push earlier in the season to clean up the majority of them, but it's a slow process. Players like KDB are no longer in Chelsea kits which is a start, but I'm sure there are some old ones still. Might see if I can find a way to do it myself, but it's probably down the priority list at this time of year for the tech team. » Read

I'm sure it's been done to death, and worked out more accurately than me counting on my fingers, but for Auba FWD --> Mid -7 bonus points +10 CS points +22 Goal points Net: +25 points. Not massive, but large enough to swing MLs » Read

  20. Should we consider Goalkeepers from the Championship? 3 days, 2 hours ago

Cheers for writing Swan. I don't think I'll touch any of the promoted keepers this year, but that obviously price dependent. Typically finding a reliable source of clean sheets is quite tricky with these teams, so I tend to angle towards those that rack up saves regardless of the scoreline - perhaps WBA are worth a look then? Interesting to see the list of 4.5m options. » Read
