Cole targets return in 3 weeks

by Mark on February 16

Ashley Cole has announced to Chelsea TV that he expects to be nearing full-fitness in 3 weeks [source] . The full-back has been sidelined with a knee injury sustained against Blackburn on 31st January. This would make a return, perhaps against Sheffield United at Stamford Bridge in mid-March, a possibility.

This of course means that Fantasy Managers will have to consider the future of Wayne Bridge in their lineup. Bridge has been a massively popular signing over the past few weeks but it may well be time to plan that exit plan for Bridge, particularly if it means shuffling the pack to free some funds for a replacement.

Chelsea have 3 league games between now and Cole’s potential return – 2 of which (Portsmouth and Man City) are away, the other being Arsenal at home. Bridge still promises some return then, but there is perhaps limited clean sheets to come, even with Terry back in the side.

that’s quite funny! How the hell did you find a thread with no posts on it?

There’s hundreds of them from Feb/Mar/Apr 2007. Mark used to make as many threads as he does now, but no-one was here to reply (except good old Weenie).

Imagine a thread with no replies these days. Heaven, some might say.
