Son, the posts above kind of indicate that bonus points are never guaranteed. Before the newcastle game, essien had the highest form of all chelsea midfielders at 5.8 in the FPL. I too was leaning towards him as a replacement for Fab, but the fact is Ballack is not only a good free kick taker, but also superb in the air, and is a bigger goal threat to Essien.

I agree Lampard might not be the best value at 11m for the last match, although he looked awesome and took Chelsea up a gear when he came on.

Surprised nobody has mentioned Gerrard yet for the spurs match as a viable replacement?

Alex - given the millions of players of fantasy football around the world, I'd say you were doing a great job asking the right questions! Next time you see him, can you ask if it's likely Clichy will pick up another 3 bonus points? Ta!

He even got MotM and the bubbly on Sky. FPL have a dartboard at FPL headquarters with all the players heads and throw 3 darts and that is how it is decided. If I was in charge of the darts I would of thrown Terry for 3 points today.
Serious though, FPL decide who they think was MotM and award the points accordingly.

Just seen on SSN that man of the match at Newcastle was Essien yet he only got 1 bonus point for the FPL, should he not have got the full 3?

Yep was ballack in for fabs for me. Any news on berbatov? Liverpool isn't actually an easy game even if he does play. I can afford any striker to replace him - though cant have any more Chelsea players. Thinking Tevez but would I be crazy to consider a reading striker?

I agree it has to be Ballack for Fabregas, even though Lamps may feel the pressure has step his game up,but on todays performance Ballack is the only 100% starter!

Last I saw him, the Bulgarina was paddling out to the break leaving an Exxon Valdez slick in his wake mumbling something that sounded like "Spurs suck."

Probably not but I'll take bribes to ask specific questions.

A Chelsea player does sound the most tempting for the last GW. But the risk is that the one you don't get will be the one to get the points this week. You just never know with them.

Do we all think Ballack is the best to bring in for next week then? I'm thinking Lampard, Ballack or Cole. If i choose Cole or Ballack I can swap al-habsi for Cech.

Alex - Do you think you could arrange weekly interviews with all the prem managers for next season? I reckon we would all be able to walk to victory in our respective leagues if you did?

Same here. But even if he were to play, it's not that great a fixture. Just get rid. I'm thinking of getting Torres for him.
