Modric Injury Scare

Luka Modric has picked up a minor knee injury in training and could be a doubt for the season opener according to Croatia’s assistant manager, Aljosa Asanovic.

Asanovic today revealed his concerns about Modric missing the friendly between Croatia and Slovenia on August 20.

”He is excellent, but he has a knee injury that could prevent him playing at the start of the new championship,” claimed Asanovic.

There is certainly no confirmation of the injury from Tottenham but if Modric misses out on their final friendly with Roma on Sunday, there could certainly be doubts about his availability against Boro on August 16.
