Van Persie Back For Holland

Robin Van Persie has allayed fears over his fitness and is set to figure in both of Holland’s forthcoming internationals according to reports today.

The striker hobbled off with an ankle injury after scoring a brace in the 3-0 win over Newcastle and, given Van Persie’s history of prolonged injuries, there was a real worry that he would be sidelined once again. However, scans have revealed just minor bruising and the Dutchman trained with his international team mates this week.

He is set to figure against Australia on Saturday and be in contention for the World Cup Qualifier against Macedonia next Wednesday. All being well then he’ll be in Arsenal’s squad for the trip to Blackburn on September 13.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.
