On an otherwise quiet day around the Premiership, Joey Barton took the headlines after being handed an immediate 6 match ban by the FA.
The Newcastle man had previously been found guilty of violent conduct following a training ground disagreement with Ousmane Dabo whilst at Man City. The FA disciplinary committee ruled that Barton will sit out the next 6 games through suspension and will carry with him the threat of an additional 6 match ban should he be dismissed for an offence involving violent conduct on the field of play.
Barton’s suspension is of course the least of Newcastle’s worries right now and not major news for fantasy managers but, given it’s a slow news day and the fact I fancied doing an update, I thought I’d make the post regardless.

I wasn’t going to buy his anyway! Newcastle players are off limits after recent events there!

No fantasy manager should have had or planned to have him in their team anyway.

No manager (fantasy or real) should have him in their team, he should be banned from professional football for life, he’s a thug who sets a very bad example. Here endeth the rant.
