Can You Kick It? Yes But Don’t Expect A Big Cheque.

The Can You Kick It Game went live yesterday with registration and team selection immediately available.

A few things to note here. Firstly the registration process did seem a little broken. It kept returning an unsuitable username and password and yet if you use your initial details it appears to work and you should still receive an email confirming registration. Alternatively I’d advise using last season’s details and see if you can login. One or the other worked for me – I can’t tell which.

Also, you may notice that the prize funds have been slashed. Our own PDM Allstars proudly walked away with 6k for winning this game last season. I’m sure he’s still pondering how to spend those winnings. This term however, he’ll just be able to manage a hotel, a few beers and a luxury kebab if he triumphs again; the top prize has dropped to just £500. Still, it’s a free game and the rules are more or less the familiar Fantasy Premier League game, without the arbitrary bonus point system (and the new auto-subbed Captain feature). We really shouldn’t moan too much.

Instead, let’s try and be the top league in this game as we were in the FPL last season. Sign up, pick your team and join the official Scout League by entering 496-95 in the league code box. I’ll add the code to the “Scout Is Playing” box in the middle column from this point on. By the way, there are plenty more games now live and we’re likely to be setting up Scout leagues in at least one more. Stay tuned for an update on those later this week.
