Derby Day Dugout Discussion

We close out the gameweek this Sunday with two matches that will start a fire in the hearts of the supporters, if nothing else. We kick off as Birmingham play host to their close rivals Wolverhampton Wanders in this weeks Black Country derby.

Birmingham show their measure of consistency by naming the same side that has started their last 11 Premier League games stretching back over three months. Wolves also name an unchanged side from that which fought out a 2 all draw against Hull last week, leaving the likes of Ebanks-Blake to squirm on the bench and Milijas nowhere to be seen.

And with all of the talk this week pertaining to measures off the field in the build up to this game – a distraction Arsenal may be happy of thanks to their demolition by Manchester United last week – we finish the gameweek as Chelsea play host to fellow Londoners Arsenal in a top of the table clash.

As we wade our way through both games today why not come into the Chat Room as the Dugout Discussion is now open and welcoming all arrivals.

    Should I swap Collinson for Lee? even though Collinson has a double game-week coming up I’ve not been impressed (noticed he only played 61 minutes on saturday) originally bought him in for the West Ham double that was due a few weeks back before it got changed.

    Collinson to Lee good move?

    I’m still in agony trying to finalise my 11….done my free transfer, but shud i keep anelka? take a 4pt hit for Drogba or a 4 point hit for Adebayo (who wud partner Tevez for 1 week b4 Drogba comes in for gw27).

    So many questions but I’m also torn as to who to satart cohen (DGW) or Duff (v Burnley)??

  4. Soup Or Man says:

    Which 1 to play out of Dunne Baird and Ivan?

    • ykwa09 says:

      baird easy one

    • XTwing says:

      Baird if he starts. I am playing Huges this week.

    • Johnny Unitas says:

      Baird, Fulham at home, Villa will not keep a clean sheet against Man U I don’t think (although Dunne is the bonus points king most of the time if it is going to be tight) and Chelsea will concede to Everton I feel, I am going with Baird myself anyway

  5. kamdaraji says:

    what do people think about lampard i know drogba is back, but could he perform, if he done nothing today he would of gone but…

    • Morrissey1986 says:

      Saving him until the Wolves while Fabs and Arshavin and Gerrard have been quiet I have no urge to sell him.

    • BonZ says:

      I thot FFL was excellent 2say – i never been his biggest fan – (obviously appreciate his charm with goals) but today his all round game from box to box was top class!!

  7. viper006 says:

  8. Aries21 says:

    Tough decisions this week:
    1. Who to captain, N’Zog or Tevez?
    2. And who to play, Evra, Baird, Cashley, G. Cahill (1 to bench)?

  9. Dai says:

    anyone think its worth a punt on Mcarthy for the DGW? I can’t afford nzog.

  10. RoysBrotherJohnson says:

    if you could only have one for the double, bearing in mind fixtures afterwards, etherington or nzog?

  11. BigUps says:

    Lamps -> Gerrard (long term move)
    Piqu -> Drogba
    Ivanovic -> Shorey/Boyetta (will Boyetta get minutes?)
    Modric -> McCarthy

    Costs me 8 points.
