Tuesday’s Dugout Discussion

The gameweek is brought to an end at Old Trafford tonight when Wayne Rooney will be expected to produce a performance to repay the faith of his many Fantasy Premier League owners. Rooney lines up against a West Ham side as Ferguson’s men look to bounce back from the 3-1 Goodison reverse.

The team news finds Rooney reassuringly in place up front with Berbatov once again. There are changes elsewhere though no doubt with Sunday’s Carling final in mind. Vidic returns to the defence in place of Evans, meaning that Brown keeps his place along with Neville at right-back. Ferdinand doesn’t make the bench despite returning from his ban. Even more suprisingly Ferguson goes with Foster in goal and Anderson and Gibson in midfield. Van der Sar, Carrick, Fletcher and Park all make way then. As for the Hammers – it’s just one change with Mark Noble coming in for the suspension tightrope walking Parker.

Tonight’s Dugout Discussion is now open in our live chatroom. Get over there now and start celebrating or mourning your Rooney armband.

fyi everyone, liveff.com are now showing bonus points as well.

can see bonus for all games in one place now instead of clicking through each fixture page on fpl, and like the rest of their stuff, it updates all your scores with the bonus points at the same time.

    top stuff again!

    come on rooney!!!

  2. Monklane says:

  13. ToonTom says:

Listening to game on 5 live..good to have a prem manager on there and Martinez interesting bloke. But when he says about identifying Valencia vs Spector as key as Valencia is Man U’s main outlet….cant help thinking if he had made more attempt to actually cover his left side against Lennon he might not have conceded NINE! Easier said than done!

  14. haxman says:

  18. si says:

Stuttgart look very good but you feel they will need at least a 3 goal lead to get through at Camp Nou.

  24. Morrissey1986 says:

    Valencia has another effort.

    • new2leeds says:

He had better not score, I’m in a battle with my league leader and we both have Evra and Rooney, but he has Valencia. neother of us has any West Ham. Hope Val gets sent off before he scores/assists!

  25. Feanor says:

I really don’t want a captain with 4 points when I have two players who scored 13 points and another who scored 10.

    Come on, Shrek.

    • ToonTom says:

At least nearly everyone else has Rooney as capt it will make v little diff I recon…wonder how many people here have Rooney (c) and Evra!

    • Pennywise says:

We’re all in that same boat Feanor. I do think the baldy pie eater will score or assist at least one in the 2nd half, reckon Carlton Cole will bag a goal as well though..

  26. ToonTom says:

Sorted cheers mate! Cant find betting for the championship. Thanks again appreciate that!

  27. Cornelius says:

    Tevez news still sounds iffy.

Valencia just isn’t a finisher. And Anderson finishes his meals, that’s about it.

  28. Skilla says:

    Great Touch. Berbatov.
